The company provides weekly pool cleaning and maintenance. However, they have trouble keeping the cleaning crew. Different people come to service the pool every week, causing various problems. We have seen massive algae and metal residue on the pool bottom at various times. read more

This company has rude and lazy employees they do the very minimum. when we complained the owners just decided to stop our service with out notifying us. Go somewhere else . Don't trust your pool to this company. read more

Bravo! If you have been reading my reviews, you may have noticed that several are based on my ongoing struggle to to clean and repair the house Boyfriend and I moved into. It had neglected for over a year. And that includes the pool and all of the equipment. Boyfriend and I are trying to do as much work as possible ourselves. And we tried. But there's no word for the color green that pool was when we got to it. We really tried. And by "we," I mean Boyfriend. I don't know a thing about pools. I did do some manual labor and bought things. But mostly, Boyfriend. He really tried everything and I became seriouly worried about his mental and physical health. So, after a month, we went looking for pool service. And these guys were right out. And they gave me a homework assignment. Put stuff in the pool and everything sinks to the bottom, then call them. I did this and, again, right there. It was so bad that Alex the Pool Guy, had to call the office and get a consultation. It was unavoidable. There was nothing Boyfriend could possibly have done to fix it on his own. It had to be drained, cleaned and refilled. It has been nine days since Alex the Pool Guy made that phone call. Do you know how long it takes to fill a pool with a garden hose? 7 days. Two days. They did everything that needed to be done in two days. And very friendly people. Good customer service and quick response times. This is the pool service you want. read more

Weekly Cleaning, Custom Service Plans, One Time Cleanings available. Full service cleaning includes: *All chemicals, conditioners, algaecides and salt *One cleaning per week, leaving your pool sparkling * Scheduled pool maintenance * Water surface will be skimmed and floating debris will be removed * Pool tile will be cleaned as needed * Pool floor will be vacuumed * Pool walls and floor will be brushed as necessary to remove algae or scaling conditions * Water chemicals will be checked and brought into proper balance * Water filter and strainer baskets will be cleaned as necessary to ensure maximum filtration of the pool * The pool pump and other equipment will be inspected, and any necessary pool repairs will be reported to customer and referred to our customer service department for repair upon approval from customer

Established in 1993.

Citywide Pool Service owner Mike Green began working in the swimming pool service industry in 1988 at Positive Pools in Tampa, FL. After working for someone else for five years, Mike decided to venture out on his own. He was immediately successful, due to his strong work ethic, respect for customers, and reliability. He decided to move his business to Gainesville in 1996. Starting from scratch, Mike once again quickly built up a successful pool service business. His wife, Cathy, became involved in the business in 2011. She manages the office tasks, as well as assisting with pool service when needed. Mike and Cathy have one goal: To offer the best pool service in the Gainesville area. They accomplish this by offering quality services and fair prices. The vehicles and service technicians that show up at your home look professional, and the technicians are well prepared.

Mike & Cathy met in 2011 and were married in in 2014. They have a combined family, with a total of five children and five grandchildren. Their hobbies focus around hosting family gatherings, boating, and swimming.

I was not made to feel stupid or irresponsible for not knowing anything about my pool. Eventually we did exhaust texting as a form of communication. He asked me to call him and I did. Nice phone voice, very friendly. We ran through a few more questions that were a little too complicated for texting. Then he told me how to fix it! It can hard to find people who don't change you for things you don't need, especially if you are completely ignorant on the subject. He really could have screwed me over, but he chose not to. Now I know where to go if I need pool service. My trust and respect has been earned!
