They had exactly what I needed. The only business in town that had 1in stock and cheaper than I could get it from Amazon.

But then she insisted on showing us a filled tub and how it runs. So she opens the cover and the water in the tub is green and yellow and the pillows are grossly disintegrating. It was just disgusting. She agreed and then proceeded to try and fix the problem while we were still there. We insisted that our friends are waiting and we didn't have much time. But she refused to listen to us and 'forced' us to watch her fix the problem. We tried to move on and finally got to see other tubs, got model numbers, got measurements and went home to measure the space we had. We went back a second time to make the purchase but turns out she gave us the wrong model numbers so all the measurements we had were useless. She tried to blame it on 'stock taking' or some other excuses. So we essentially had to start all over again to find a tub that would fit our dimensions and budget. At one point, she got the engineer James to open up the front panel of a tub to show us. He tried to dissuade us from a tub that she recommended, saying that the insulation was lousy. This is when things got maddening for me. She kept repeating several talking points, including many that are irrelevant and refused to let him talk, even though clearly, he has more knowledge since he's the one who installs those tubs! She blocked him from showing us the pumps of the tub she recommended and that seems incredibly shady. Finally, we said that since she gave us the wrong model numbers and dimensions, we had to go home and measure again. That same night, we ordered a hot tub online from Costco. TLDR; The sales lady, was pushy, passive-aggressive and did not listen to a word we said. She drove me nuts with her insistence on reciting the same (sometimes irrelevant) facts over and over again. She refused to let us talk to the engineer who knew more about the tubs. We were prepared to buy a hot tub from them that day but due to her bad sales skills, they lost our business. It's a shame because they do have good prices for nice hot tubs.

Therefore, the dirt from the pavers was getting into the pool, mak8ng it impossible for the pool maintenance man to keep up with cleaning. I found the same (exactly the same) item on Amazon for $8 + $4.50 shipping. I'm totally cool with paying a couple bucks more for the great convenience and service they provide but greater than 5X is crazy. Lesson learned however, I ordered my $299 at Pinch a Penny filter on Amazon for $170!

Consumers, you are getting ripped off if you are buying the gallon jugs of Salinity Acid at…read morePinch-A-Penny. Early in the year, when I went to buy some Muriatic Acid, they had a new product on the shelf. I asked the employees about it and they said to buy the Salinity acid because it was the same product. Products are always changing so I didn't think anything about it. The problem was, I couldn't really get my PH under control. I've had my 22K pool since 2004, have done the chemicals myself (SaltPool) AND IT usually takes between 1 qt to 1.3 qts of acid each week. Well, here I was using an entire gallon of the new improved acid every week. I finally did some research on Salinity Acid only to find out that it's concentration of Muriatic Acid is only between 5 to 10% compared to the industry standard of 33-35%. Worse even is the price that they're charging for the Salinity Acid, around $12.50 I believe whereas the normal full strength Acid was $11.50 or $11.99. I've reached out to the owner, unfortunately haven't heard from them. Besides the aggravation of not having my PH balanced properly most of the spring until now, it's that I've been paying extra money (paying anywhere from $.50 to $1.00 more per jug) but buying 3 X the amount of gallon jugs that I normally use. They do still carry the normal Muriatic Acid, you just have to ask for it. If you don't believe me on this, just ask your A.I. It's a true story. It's a sad day when you can't trust a business especially after doing business with them for 22 years. The old owner, Doc was a really good owner and I'm hopeful that the owner of this store is a stand-up person too. We'll find out. Stay tuned for another episode. Thanks.
