There is a massive parking lot, but it does fill up, so I recommend giving yourself extra time if you are heading to a class. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. I joined Crunch specifically for the classes, and so far, the instructors have been amazing. I especially enjoyed the Zumba class in the large dance studio. There is so much space, which makes a big difference compared to tighter studios where you might bump into others. I also loved the hot yoga room. With the lights off, it creates a really calming and immersive atmosphere. When you arrive for class, you sign in and receive a color coded wristband so that only participants are allowed in the room. After class, I took some time to walk around and explore the gym. I liked the overall layout and appearance. The locker room is spacious, but it does feel a bit outdated. I used the showers and noticed that several had broken doors and could not be used. I also wish there were hooks or small shelves inside or just outside each shower to keep your belongings off the floor. There are towel hooks available, but they are located along a back wall and are not very convenient, especially since some of the shower doors were not functioning. I ended up hanging my towel over the door instead. Adding a hook outside each shower would make a big improvement. One feature that really stood out at this location is the racquetball court. I have not seen that at other locations I have visited, and I may give it a try. With my membership, I also have access to tanning beds, hydrotherapy, and massage chairs. I did not use them during this visit, and I am not sure if all of these are available at this specific location, but I would assume they are. Overall, my first impression was very positive. I am looking forward to coming back, trying more classes, and exploring some of the unique features this location has to offer.

I am extremely disappointed with Crunch's billing practices and how my concerns were handled…read more My issues began in April when I initially signed up for personal training. I was told the system froze during enrollment, and I was mistakenly enrolled twice. As a result, I was charged twice. I immediately brought the issue to the attention of gym staff and paid the remaining balance owed under the original agreement to avoid any further billing problems. At that time, I was promised a refund of $120 for the duplicate charge. Months went by, and despite multiple follow-ups with staff and management, I was repeatedly told that the refund was "being worked on." After my personal training sessions ended, I made the mistake of trusting that the issue would be resolved and renewed my training package. When I got home, I noticed that two contracts had again been sent to me. I immediately returned to the gym and requested cancellation of all personal training services. I later received confirmation that the cancellation had been processed. Despite that cancellation, I was charged $100 the following week. I reported the issue and was again told a refund would be processed. Then I was charged another $100 the week after that. At that point, after countless conversations, promises, and delays, I felt I had no choice but to dispute the charges through my bank, cancel my card, and cancel my Crunch membership entirely. In total, I am out $320 between the unresolved $120 duplicate charge and the two $100 charges that occurred after my cancellation. What is most frustrating is that when my bank contacted Crunch regarding the dispute, they responded within two days claiming I was responsible for the charges. Yet for months, they were unable to resolve the billing errors they acknowledged and repeatedly promised to fix. I have documentation showing the duplicate contracts, the cancellation confirmation, the charges that occurred after cancellation, and proof that I had already paid the balance owed under the original agreement. I do not blame the employees personally, and I understand systems can make mistakes. However, Crunch is ultimately responsible for its billing practices and customer service. I spoke with managers and staff at multiple ocassions, and despite numerous assurances that the issue was being handled, nothing was resolved. Potential members should be aware of these billing issues. My experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and costly, and it has completely destroyed my trust in Crunch.

As a result, I received unsolicited, unwanted attention from other members including requests for social media appearances. As an older member, her disclosure also caused me to feel singled out and scrutinized during my workouts. In a separate incident, the owner also resorted to Instagram after I was assisted by other members attempting to correct my form on an exercise I had just learned. She told her Instagram followers that I had a casual conversation with them, which she knew was not true because I had already explained to her what ACTUALLY happened. Nevertheless, she proceeded to ask her followers for "their thoughts", knowing exactly what those thoughts would be. This led to an attack on social media about my IQ and judgement. The owner's disclosure of my age without my consent, and her precipitating an attack on social media against me was extremely unprofessional.

I also really liked that they had garbage cans in EACH bathroom stall! This gym has really cool workout sections with specific machines to work out specific parts of your body. For example: Abs & Glutes (Boody Builder) section. A girls only section. VIP stretching room, and a Cardio section. When you first walk in there are really amniotic blue LED lights all around that really give the gym a nice vibe. There's an open concept where the machines aren't too congested and there is a VERY large blue carpet area in the center. The staff is really nice and the employees keep the gym fairly clean for a 24/7 gym. (I love those hours too) More pictures to come!

I do, however, hold numerous different gym memberships through my insurance plan as I travel frequently for work. That being said, when I am home, I am typically at amped in the mornings Monday through Friday. Occasionally in the evenings or on weekends. PROS: Very large gym with plenty of space and equipment. Even during the busy times, it's rare to have to wait for anything and it's usually not long if you do. In terms of equipment they have pretty much anything you can think of for any type of workout you want to do. This includes some really unique machines that I have not seen at other gyms. I enjoy that they have a sauna, even though it is most often closed in the mornings. The gyms 24 hour access is also nice. I don't have kids, however I noticed that the provided childcare service seems to get used by many members, which is a nice feature for them. CONS: compared to the other gyms I visit, this one is much dirtier and far more messy than most. There is a younger Jamaican man who works in the morning and he is the only one I have ever seen clean in the year that I've been a member here. I am usually there for 1 to 1.5 hours in the morning and I see him cleaning the entire time and putting everyone else's weights away. Aside from him, I have never seen another employee there cleaning. Most of the time it is 50/50 whether or not there will be cleaning wipes for the machine, or soap in the bathroom dispensers. and yes, this includes during the staff hours. Much of the staff spends more time socializing than anything else from my observations. I will note that most of the staff is very friendly, but there doesn't seem to be much work getting done. Although Amped has a no tripod policy, it is not enforced in any way what so ever. Not a huge deal in the mornings, but on occasion when I go in the afternoon, they are everywhere and it is incredibly annoying. For those of you that are tripod people, no one cares, no one is watching your "content". What's more frustrating than the tripods is that those same people are generally the ones who don't put their weights away. I have seven different gym memberships, and this location is by far the worst in terms of entitled patrons who don't put their weights back. It's very interesting to me that people who are at the gym too work on their fitness are too lazy to put their weights away and will sit in the parking lot and block traffic waiting for a closer parking spot to the entrance. But I digress. Summary: In my opinion, this gym could very easily go from good to great if employees and members alike were held accountable. But ultimately that is a product of poor management and lack of leadership. But you get what you pay for when you join a big box gym like AMPED. Although there is room for improvement, I do really enjoy this location, the equipment, and all that the facility has to offer. If a messy gym and tripods everywhere don't bother you, this is generally a good one stop shop for your fitness goals.
