Came here for last minute aquarium adventures, and boy was I not disappointed. If your day in the…read morearea revolves around the aquarium and its adjacent locations, then I highly recommend this parking lot. I don't normally come to Long Beach for adventures, but thought I would get out of my comfort zone and just go see. Entrance into the parking garage was relatively straight forward coming from the 710 South. I would like there to be more signage for the rates on the outside at least. I only saw the rates online and right when I was about to get my ticket from the gate. Others have mentioned it prior, but the elevators are kind of buggy to say the least. I was heading to the aquarium and parked my car on the 3rd floor. As I was about to take the stairs, I saw the elevator open about to go down so I hopped in. Right before it got to the 1st floor, it stopped and there was no light on the screen. We waited a bit, hit the bell button and it sent us back to the 3rd floor. I then proceeded to take the stairs the rest of the time. I could've been blind, but final thing to mention was that I don't recall seeing signage saying that the 1st floor path to the aquarium had the pay kiosks. They are also located at the car exits too so you'd be fine either way.

Use caution. Lots of traffic in street when trying to turn into parking structure. Elevators take a…read morebit long and seem weathered. One wasn't working the others took a really long time getting to each floor. Drops you right at the entrance to aquarium.

In my opinion, not really. It is what it is. It's located in the downtown Long Beach area that is infested with homeless people suffering from mental health along with groups of Teens on bikes who ride around doing wheelies in traffic. Could the Security Team be doing a better job? Yes...BUT if there were more than just 1 Guard per shift in 7 Levels of parking. That falls on the City of Long Beach for not adding an additional Guard to their budget. I have to give the Guards some type of credit. It is impossible to patrol 7 Levels of the biggest parking lot in Long Beach and deal with entitled cry babies whining about their validation not working , dealing with homeless individuals sneaking into the garage at all times of the day along with idiots on bikes trying to sneak onto the roof to practice the dumb wheelies. 1 person cannot do it alone. I am a current Eos gym member and I too have had an issue on several occasions with the validation not working when I reach the exit. So, you know what I do now that works 100% of the time? I check my ticket at the kiosk on the 3rd floor before I even go to my car so if it is charging me for under 2 hours I simply turn around and revalidate it. A simple double check works! Problem solved. On big event days such as the Grand Prix, Day Trip, Warped Tour, etc...the City of Long Beach who owns the garage will up charge a flat rate of $20. It sucks but there are signs posted up at EVERY ENTRANCE & even at the Front Desk at Eos. On those days I don't show up. Problem solved. It's not the best garage but it is what it is. I know the risk when I park my car. It's slowly getting better especially with the new Flash system that now takes tap to pay. All in all, no matter where you park downtown you are taking a risk. Unfortunately we live in a world where we have to keep one eye open at all times. With that being said, if it's such a bad garage then park your car in the street and see what happens to it.

It's a public parking structure. So same rules apply, don't store anything valuable inside the car. The garage is not responsible for break-ins, yada yada yada. While I have seen teens on scooters and "pocket mini bikes" racing around inside the structure, and a few unhoused folks meandering through, I have also seen multiple patrols of security AND LBPD. The rates are fare, some places at The Pike validate. I get what people mean about being stuck in the "one way out" literal downward spiral to exit, but it has never been an issue for me. Perhaps because I am likely to avoid large crowd events and not put myself in that sitch. Overall, this parking structure has been a positive experience for me and I will use it again. Cheers! "CC"
