A sidewalk continues the walk along the marsh. The boardwalk is best found by locating the Air Evac headquarters across the street. It's a wonderful natural teaching area and birdwatching location--especially for ducks and geese. Though not a long boardwalk it's probably a suitable distance for a busy toddler. The walkway above the marsh is in very good shape and safe for children. Though a larger child might climb over the railings it would be virtually impossible for a small child to work through them. There's plenty to see and point out in the marsh, which has a different character throughout the seasons. A gazebo at the western entrance offers a rest spot. Ramps at either end allow wheelchair accessibility. The marsh is maintained by the MO Department of Conservation while the subdivision maintains the boardwalk. This is not an O'Fallon city park; there are no restroom facilities. There is no designated area for parking.

The park is dog-friendly, as long as they are on a leash. But, they also have a pretty big dog park where they can run around unleashed. We will be here next weekend for our grandson's high school graduation party. The pavilions we will use are quite large, have lots of tables, ceiling fans, lights, a fire pit restrooms and a playground. This park can be enjoyed whether you have a group event or if you just want to chill out and soak in your surroundings.

Two playgrounds have rubber pavements. Each playground accommodates either preschoolers or older children with a merry-go-round, slides, climbing structures, and other features. However, there are 12 soccer fields that see plenty of weekend use in season. There are also a couple of picnic pavilions near a nice playground. A paved walking path circles the park. Concessions stands--seldom open--and restrooms are available. O'Fallon's community recreation complex, the Renaud Center, is nearby-- separated from the soccer fields by a couple of par 3 golf courses. Renaud has its own Yelp! page. The Renaud Center is an excellent facility for swimming, basketball, volleyball, fitness, indoor cycling, and community activities. It's open to non-residents as well as residents.

There are shaded overwatch towers for parents to watch their kids in any part of the park, there is a splash park and multiple playground areas dependent on your child's size. We stayed for over two hours and the kids did not want to leave. Our kids ages range from 10-4 and everyone had a good time. My mother in law walked the trail several times. The other parents/kids were very friendly too, great park, great atmosphere. The only downside, which isn't even bad, it's expected, is that the bathrooms were not that clean, but it was manageable for what was needed for the kiddos to pee and go back to playing. When I'm St Louis again, we would come back!!

The most amazing park I've been to in a long time…read more We popped in to check it out on a Friday afternoon and while it was very busy, it didn't feel overcrowded. Check in at the counter to sign a liability waiver if you or your kiddos are on wheels, then off you go! Lots of adventurous playground fare and all kinds of skatepark goodness sprawl across this HUGE park. Hours passed effortlessly and we were all sad to go at the end of our time. My wheelchair can't handle grass or gravel or most inclines but this whole park is so smooth and accessible. There is a lot of goose poop but you are -outside-. I can't wait to come back all summer!
