But- parking... Brentwood Parks And Recreation needs to align with the city to help with signage for parking. The lot is not large enough (maybe 60 spaces not positive) to have two directions. Even with it being clear to many that the natural flow was counterclockwise, a few felt the need to go against the natural flow. Then the streets around the park were full causing the streets capable of only allowing for a single lane of traffic. Even with a clear flow and literally no room for cars traveling in opposite directions... some attempted to push in, causing longer stand stills. It's like trying to go to the zoo/forest park on the weekends. But the park itself is fun!!! I do wish there was more shaded areas within the park itself. Parking needs to be fixed... there is no way an emergency vehicle could have gotten in to help if help was needed. That is a big concern.

A super cute little neighborhood park! When we went, we had the entire park and playground to…read moreourselves which was so nice. They had slides, swings, all your typical playground equipment, and it looks like they have a splash pad for warmer weather. We also took advantage of the free little library for a "new" book and left one of our books behind in exchange. Make sure to bring a towel if it's recently rained, lots of water will pool at the bottom of the slides!

I understand that a lot of parks have schedules for when they turn on water at parks but it is something on nice days that would be Convenient to be able to use a bathroom and not end my park visit early. This peaceful park is tucked away in a small neighborhood surrounded by large houses with huge…read morelawns and boarders a golf course. There are signs pointing the way from Ladue Rd at the Mosley Rd stoplight and at each turn from there. GPS gets you to the correct location as well. The road dead ends to a small parking lot (maybe 15 cars). There is a sand volleyball court, playground equipment, bathroom, and a covered picnic pavilion at the trailhead. The sand volleyball court had plastic beach toys in the sand, perfect for kids wanting to build sandcastles. They include poop bags at the beginning of the trail for dogs. There is no map at the trailhead. The path is paved for a bit, until you reach Deer Creek. The path over the creek is paved, but is grassy and rocky as you continue. There is trash in the creek and along the trail. I can still imagine children and pets playing in the shallow rocky creek during the warmer months. There are plenty of trash cans along the path that were not overflowing, but some people are just careless. The path has several intersections, some leading into the neighborhood, and some making circles back. At one intersection leading to a cul de sac, we did find another trailhead with a map, difficult to read though. There is no getting lost here since you are tucked in a neighborhood and a golf course is at the boundary of the trail. If you get to the golf course, you only know that you need to turn around to get out.

Regardless of my fear...I will go on to talk about why this park is so awesome. Even though Creve Coeur has over the years, become a sprawling suburb, this park does not clue you into that fact one little bit. In fact, this little park is an enclave of nature at its best. There is little path, so it isn't bombarded with people running, there's not a playground, so there's no screaming children, and it's filled with trees and birds. I actually came her originally because the RFT listed this as the best place to bird watch. I can't say I am much of a bird watcher, but I figured why not give this place a chance. They were totally spot on with their analysis. There really are more birds than people in this park, it's practically swarming with them, and not in any obnoxious way. It is more in a beautiful song bird kind of way. This is a great place to picnic or lay around and read a book on a beautiful fall day. It is totally worth checking out. Though small, this park is mighty and pretty darn cool all at the same time.

There were lots of sidewalks that we could take through the park. It was very well-maintained and lovely. There was one area under construction during our visit. There were lots of Canadian geese that didn't want to be approached with their babies.

The other playground is under renovation. The park itself has a decent amount of walking trail. The big pond is nice. There is a decent parking lot at the park entrance. The park looks clean when I went here today. It is also quiet today, which is nice and relaxing.
