We decided to checkout this museum when we were looking for something to do in Kenosha. The cost of admission is reasonable even for non residents. It will take you 1-2 hours on average to explore depending on how much time you spend on each exhibit. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded at all. We pretty much has the place to ourselves and a couple other people. It was a very educational experience and worth a visit.

I recently donated several Civil War artifacts to this museum. The is staff is extremely helpful and professional. I can't wait to visit in person.

All aboard!

We stopped shortly after the museum reopening and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and provided us with touring info. They also have social distancing policies and hand sanitizer stations. The exhibits are amazing and many of them i interactive. Displays from wars and battles after the civil war as well. The top floor has a walk out balcony with tables so you can pack you own lunch!

Nice museum, well laid out, clean and modern. Thought the price was a bit high and no discount for military veterans.

Disappointed like everything else in Kenosha, WI Posters are nice, but not if you have to pay for them.

My grandson loves military things so he was in love with it! The store where you enter has many displays and toys for sale, hats and much military things. The owner explained the museum inside and the area inside also has many military equipment. They even have a photo op area where they have vests and helmets to put on for pictures! The kids loved this! They do not charge extra for the photo op with helmets and military vests. The owner also explained that the outside there is an area the kids can climb on the military equipment. Then there is an outside area where you just look at the vehicles but do not climb on as it would be dangerous and an insurance risk. The owner also let my grandchildren make Dog Tags with their names and birthdates and put them on a chain for them. The kids were so excited to make their own! It was a fun day and something completely different to do. If you're interested in Military go visit this museum!

Unfortunately for me that was the best part of the experience. We happened to arrive on memorial day weekend when they were having a special ceremony. Despite looking at their website it was unclear that their hours were different. They didn't open at 10am but at noon when their special program began. We killed 40 mins thinking that at noon we could get into the building but no we had to wait through the fortunately short ceremony (which was hard to hear due to a poor PA setup). It was free on this day so not sure the regular price but thank goodness because this place was not what we expected. It wasn't really war memorabilia but some exhibits telling stories of some soldiers. Don't get me wrong the exhibit about the chaplain and his collection of glass from damaged European churches during WWII was well done but that was most of what was on display. We spent maybe 30 minutes or so here. I do support the founder Jennifer Pritzker in her stance that she isn't going to let any government officials dictate the stories being told. A benefit of this being a privately funded museum. Nonetheless very underwhelming.

Very disappointing. The Kenosha location is very nice, but there's basically nothing to see inside…read more There is a lot of empty wasted space in the building. Definitely would not go again.
