Admission is free and there were lots of children's art work in the hallway. The actually glass exhibit was very small like inside a small room with less than 10 pieces of glasswork. Had to say that we weren't impressed especially the almost 2 hours drive. However, if you live in Racine, it may be worth to swing by.

First we went to the downtown location of RAM not knowing there were two locations. After paying for parking and to enter that museum we found out that watercolors were at this sister location. (We did tour the main museum and really enjoyed the special Easter peep contest entries - lots of fun). We eventually made it back out of downtown to this location with free admission and free parking. We enjoyed the watercolor exhibit itself - some great works but the gallery and facility was a bit underwhelming and small but for the price...

Basically a beautiful waterfront museum with fantastic, highly interesting exhibits that appeal to all ages. Admission is completely free, making it incredibly budget-friendly for our family of five. The volunteers and staff are absolutely wonderful--so friendly and helpful! We wanted to support them by making a donation at the gift shop. Even though I didn't have cash on me, they easily and quickly accepted a donation via Apple Pay. The outdoor area around the water has great statues to look at, and it is perfectly located near the local parks and beaches. I highly recommend stopping here if you are celebrating a Great Lakes graduation or just spending a day in Kenosha! My daughter graduated from Great Lakes and we wanted to go on a little adventure as a family during one of her liberty days. I recommend coming early and checking out local events in the nearby parks. We went on a Saturday and there was a cute Italian festival and a farmers market(Kenosha harbor market and celebration place). Afterwards we walked around the water side and enjoyed surrounding statues then headed into this cute museum. If you're going head over early enjoy the market and the museum then grab a sandwich at the local deli, snack at the piggly or a dog from red hot and head over to the park or the beach near by, then finish the day at the sweet corner! If you can make it to the cheese castle do but they close at 7 so we didn't make it! I'll make reviews for the above listed spots as well!

There is a main gallery with a couple dozen dinosaur skeleton casts (no real fossils), the main point of which is to illustrate therapod evolution towards modern birds. Also on the first floor are a series of kid-oriented stations to describe how fossils are formed and then how they are uncovered by paleontologists. On the lower level are a children's play area (big rug, toys, books, small tables and chairs); several display cases containing small fossils; and three large windows looking into the paleontology lab. During our visit, there was a triceratops skull in two large pieces laid out on the lab table closest to the windows. Very cool!

The Foghorn Museum onsite is very interesting with local history and includes a display on a former Racine native who was an astronaut. It's very easy to get to this lighthouse and has ample parking spots for average days. You can book a tower climb on their website. Definitely a must see, if you're in the area.

The Civil War Museum in Kenosha is a surprisingly good historical museum. Also known as The War of…read morethe Rebellion (as the North called it) is memorializes the conflict thru the lens of the Union states. This museum pays particular respect to the Midwest states that fought for the North. It consists of 2 floors with the bottom floor being the main museum and special exhibits located upstairs. The dioramas and exhibits in the museum were all well done and had very good documentation. There is also a short movie shown every hour in the middle of the museum. This museum is constructed in the round so make sure as you go around it, you see every section. I would budget 2 hours to see it all. There is an admission fee and a gift shop along with plenty of free parking.

When you reach proximity to some of them, a recording will play. They didn't move around (so it's not too bad if you don't like dolls or mannequins or animatronics). Staff were calm and helpful and made it enjoyable. Highlights include an immersive 360 degree movie in the center of the museum that plays at the top of the hour (every hour? Not sure): it's somewhat intense and full of drama, but it's only 10 minutes long. It's called Seeing the Elephant. Another is a train car (at the start of the war) where you sit next to mannequins and they tell you their tales of being turned away for service, their hopes for a good outcome of the war, and the like. Yet another is the paddle boat at the end of the war, where the tales of the mannequins are more grim and the massive human cost of war (assassination, instability, death and dismemberment) pervades. The whole of the main exhibit is from the perspective of the Midwest, so it's rah-rah Wisconsin, Ohio, etc. It's unique. I don't know if everyone would like this, but the 2024 admission to the main gallery was $9 ($5 for residents), and I thought it was well worth it. I'd recommend it, even if I might not necessarily return anytime soon.

Our salmon brioche was more brioche than salmon, couldn't have been more than a spoonful of salmon on there. It was also covered in too much oil and surprisingly tasteless. The bene was also flavourless and oily and the polenta had too much fatty meat and again far too much oil. We collectively ate very little of our meals and after putting in our complaint, we were offered nothing but a cinnamon roll which, you guessed it, was far too oily. Wouldn't go back in a hurry.
