However, this time I'm trying to refinance my house. Raul is helping me. He didn't lock the rate as promised. He could inform me much earlier. But the process was not transparent. The date before the closing date, he told me that I have to pay 3000+ more to get the rate that I quoted. I'm very frustrated because I quoted other lenders who offer same term but I chose SELFI because I trust them. At the end, they told me that they cannot close on the promised rate. Lessons learned: 1. Don't trust the quoted rate that they promise 2. Don't trust the closing date that they estimate.
