Never again. Came to get a tire put on. He asked if I had the key to take the wheel off and I replied no. He said he couldn't replace my tire without it. I explained that I've had the tires changed multiple times at multiple places and no one has ever had to use a key to get them off. Another gentleman tried to assist while the first guy proceeds to talk shit to the second "I'm not letting a female get me caught up in a goose chase" or something to that effect. If you're not comfortable doing the job for whatever reason, that is your prerogative. I'd respect it if he had simply explained why (the second person told me he was worried about not being able to tighten it back on enough). But to be unnecessarily rude to me and a coworker is disgusting and disrespectful. I ended up buying the tire and going down the street for install and the only reason I gave them my money after being disrespected is because I have an uncommon tire size. It's a shame too because they are so close to my house so it's conveniently located but I will not be back EVER AGAIN. Hopefully a lesson can be learned: just explain to your customer your concerns if any. Simple as that. When I lived and worked in the area, I'd drive by this place twice a day, but never needed their services. I was back there on business last week and got a flat at work. The spare wouldn't get me back home to NJ, so I went straight to the one place I know in the area: CJ's Tire & Auto. The gentleman there who helped me out understood my request, even though I stink at explaining car stuff. They quickly replaced the tire (they did not have a new one in my size but the used one I bought seems hardly used and was very affordable) and installed the spare back under the car, an annoyingly inconvenient process. There were a few add on costs, like balancing the tire (necessary) but they actually gave me a little discount on the final price, just out of kindness. I thought the initial price was totally reasonable, so it was a sweet bonus. I was in a pinch, and CJ's provided the service and products I needed and got me back on the road in no time. Needed to get my car inspected in a pinch. Called ahead on a Thursday, and set up an appointment. They ended up running late and I needed to get back, so I came back again on a Friday. Made another 4pm appointment, but still had to wait about an hour and a half before my car was looked at. They apologized and got started. The car needed a headlight and a tail light to pass, which they did for a reasonable price. In the end, the emissions computer was not ready to pass, so I'll have to come back. Sam as really friendly throughout, just wish I didn't have to wait so long after making an appointment. I was waiting for a different tow company from 1:30 until 5:30 after four changes to the eta without any explanation. I called StateFarm furious with the service so they called CJS Tire and Auto instead. Within 5 mins I got a call from Maurice saying they were on their way and wanted to confirm the cross street. They provided a name and a direct contact and said they would be there in 20-25 mins. He arrived exactly within that time frame. Since the street space was limited and my car wouldn't even go into neutral, Maurice reviewed info online for my car and found a way to override the gear shift to get it in neutral and push the car up to make room for the tow. He was resourceful, efficient, kind and professional. No way do I ever want my car to die on me again, but if it does I know who I'll call. Thank you!!! read more

Horrible place. Do not recommend at all. They charged my insurance for towing my car and storing it for 4 days $1400, because I choose not to go to who they recommend to fix my car. They also would not let the other tow company remove my car from their lot until the bill was paid in cash! Complete scam of a place. read more

I drive by this place twice a day going/coming to work. I tried them for an oil change once, service was good. Went back a second time for used tires and the third time because my tire pressure light was on. However, I got used tires a month ago and they try to tell me I need a new tire. I got the tire patch and left and the car was making noises like something was not on right or tight. I took it back and they try to tell me some junk about tire was bad and like I said to the guy I just got the 4 used tires from you a month ago and he never checked the tire I had patched. I had my receipt for the tires and patch. I left went to another place and come to find out MY TIRE WAS NOT PUT BACK ON RIGHT/TIGHT. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING for any services due to they wanted to do what they wanted and not listen to what I say what was going on and I only came to get a patch. I don't like fast talk like women don't know. I know how my car drive and I can feel when something is wrong with my car like any other person who had the same car for a while and has been driving over 30 years. Horrible experience and would not recommend, especially for females. Unorganized and they serve men first regardless if you've been waiting before a male has arrived. However, still tried to give them the opportunity and purchased 4 tires from this shop and 1 of the tires had slits in the tire therefore it started going flat as soon as I drove off. Came back the next day since shop since was closed and advised of the issue and was told that they would replace the tire because it was something that should have been caught prior. They didn't have my size tire in at the time and was advised they will call me on Monday because he spoke with the owner who advised once he returns he would locate and replace the tire. Never heard from them so followed up and spoke with the same guy Sam and his story completely changed and advised me that he never told me he would replace the tire and he never spoke with the owner about the matter. read more

ILL MANNERED AND DISRESPECTFUL!! My mother was in a car accident and they towed her car...she's 70 years old! They had her sign papers while being placed in an ambulance to remove her vehicle from the scene of the accident. We went to get her car the next day....they charged her a whopping $550.00!!! Upon trying to have a conversation with the attendant regarding the bill....he directed me to the owner. I could not even get out the door with a word, he proceeded to tell me my mother signed they forms and that's the bill! I said I think that was a bill much and thought that she was being taken advantage of....he then got loud and raised his voice at me telling me to either pay the bill or leave his premises. This is the worst auto shop in America. The owner lies to you through his wicked smile. The mechanics are totally jack leg and inexperienced. We took our car there for a simple inspection, they said we needed a bearing and they tried to put it on without the whole hub assembly. Our car wouldn't move afterward and had to be towed back to the shop. We then became low priority and took us 3 more visits of waiting all day for these inept mechanics to fix our car, by the 3rd day. Do not use this shop, you will regret it. read more

My hyundai died a week ago, and I had AAA tow it to this shop. It was busy when I arrived at 10am, but they quickly took a look at my car, and told me they would run a diagnostic. Ultimately, they replaced my alternator, battery, valve cover, belts, and they even threw in a free oil change, and wiper blades. Well, when I got my car back I noticed many of dash items did not work. Radio, clock, gauges. After two days the car died again. I took the car back, but after another 3.5 days the mechanic Sam couldn't find the source of the problem, so I have to go somewhere else. I was disappointed, but everyone at this shop is friendly, patient, and they won't treat you like an idiot. They even have a tv and DVDs to watch while you waits. The prices are very reasonable, and they will work with you. I would go back to buy tires, and a few other services. I plan to get an alignment there in the future. I am hoping that I can give a few more stars the next time around. read more
