We made an appointment for him to come out to our house in Wynnewood and look and give me some ideas with an estimate. It may not mean much to some, but he showed up exactly on time! Yes, on time, without a 2 hour window that many companies subject us to. In fact I saw him sitting in his truck out front for a few minutes before he rang the bell. He looked around the house and took copious notes. When he returned he showed me a number of ideas that could really make a difference. My wife and I had some specific ideas as to colors and locations of flowering plants and Alex incorporated them into his plan. He put down stone as a border in a number of places, planted a number of Azaleas and Rhododendrons, he suggested a Crepe Myrtle surrounded by 5 beautiful little accent flowering plants. We had a bit of drainage location problem and he was able to suggest a drainage system that his men implemented making a much more attractive and efficient system. He also included Spring Clean Up and mulching in his plan. He gave us an ala carte proposal that we could pick and choose from. His pricing was very reasonable and his execution of his plan was completed in one day. His men are knowledgable and good technicians and they clean up everything when they are done. I have no hesitation recommending Pat Calabrese & Sons Landscaping with 5 stars out of 5. Alex and his men were a pleasure to work with and I couldn't be happier with the work they did!! I get a new pleasure when I drive up to the house or walk around my back yard. I would give them 6 if I could.

Dan is a creative, caring, and communicative business owner. His team, led by Seth, was an absolute pleasure to work with - they did a truly fantastic job and were so nice and helpful throughout. After they were done, we had a small issue with drainage (because right after they laid down the patio, there were torrential downpours for days, not allowing our pavers to settle). I'm not kidding when I say within five minutes of emailing Dan on a Friday evening to let him know, he called us to say he and Seth were coming over right away to take a look. Because of continued bad weather, they had to come back a few times over the next few weeks to make sure everything was good. Yes, they made our patio a little slice of heaven, but we were actually the most impressed with their post-project attentiveness and customer-focused desire to make everything right. We live in Ryerss Hunt in West Chester, PA. Our house (and landscaping) is 17 years old and the…read morelandscaping needed an overhaul. We hired Froios to redo our landscaping around the entire house and to add lighting for our 85' long walkway from our driveway to our front door and to add subtle up-lighting to highlight new plantings and to shine on the house. We asked Nick Froios to develop the plan and provided our likes and dislikes. Nick came out to the house on his own to review our property and then requested a face to face visit to discuss the plan that he drew up. We walked around the entire house and discussed Nick's plan and Nick made tweaks to better suit our tastes. We were not sure about what to do with a large, oddly placed bed. Nick suggested we replace the bed with grass so that the landscaping against the house will be the focal point. We went ahead with this plan and we are really happy that Nick made this suggestion. We chose sod vs. seeding and the sod Nick used was beautiful. All of the beds had the existing, old mulch removed, all beds were thoroughly weeded, and all existing plants and their stumps were removed ; soil was added as needed and the beds were sprayed with a weed preventative. New plantings were installed by Nick and his team and the beds were mulched. River rock was used at various downspout areas to prevent runoff and also provide a neat decorative touch. One additional bed was created where we wanted some additional screening from our neighbor. We weren't sure how big the new bed should be ; we simply asked Nick to figure out what would look best and he came up with a plan on the spot and it looks fantastic - one of the best changes we made - thanks to Nick. We had 3 large rocks in our original landscaping ; 1 was left in place and 2 were moved to new spots by the crew where Nick suggested they should go. They look great in the new spots - one being the new bed described above. Regarding the lighting - Nick took the time to work with me to figure out where the best, most unobtrusive location would be to place the box that controls the lighting. By walking around the house together, we found a great spot for the box that would minimize anyone seeing the box and also minimize the exposed wiring. All wiring was properly buried. Nick had to pull up some of our brick pavers in order to implement the new lighting. Nick replaced the bricks and redid the sanding and grouting ... you can't tell he removed them and they are perfectly even. Nick's team started early and wrapped up around dinner time over the course of this project. They worked quietly and professionally - i.e. they were neat and kept the place cleaned up. Last day of the job, everything was cleaned up and our walkway and patio was cleaned up and swept. The entire process was collaborative ; Nick was easy to work with ; Nick had great suggestions most of which we incorporated into the plan. One of the best things I can say is simple - Nick listened and understood what we wanted and made sure we were happy. We are thrilled with our new landscaping and lighting and we are extremely pleased with the execution and implementation of Nick's plan by Nick and the Froios team.
