Commit to the process, eat well most of the time and you'll see results. Started here five months ago. Took my first class - it kicked my behind and I knew it was exactly what was needed to get back in shape. 5-6 classes a week, eating properly 80-90% of the time and after 4 months, lost 25 lbs of fat and I am very close to BEing the athlete that I was 15 years ago. You can do it too! The workouts are tough. You'll progress though and before you know it you're pushing through and surprising yourself. Totally non-judgemental environment. Very welcoming. Everybody's super chill, down-to-earth and encouraging. The music and the vibe is always on point. I would totally recommend anybody looking to get into shape to head over there and at least take your first free class and see if it's a good fit for you. I waited a while to post a review because I wanted to make sure my experiences were consistent. I signed up for a year, and every class I've been to has been great. Lost 20lbs so far; the trainers are great and the environment is positive. Each class you take (no matter the instructor) leaves you drenched in your own sweat and feeling like you accomplished something. Place is clean and parking is available. Cko west ny is amazing- classes are 1 hr long,cardio intense and never repetitive. What makes this location so great is the staff- Luis and his team are knowledgeable, professional and dedicated. This place isnt for the faint of heart- ive been a long distance runner for over 10 yrs and have participated in long distance obstacle races and marathons and these classes still destroy me everytime! Ive been kickboxing here for 9 months now and its dramatically affected my long distance runs- my miles are faster,consistent and stronger. Would highly recommend this location!! read more

Great whole body workout! You don't have to sign-up for a membership, you can buy one class at a time or a ten class package. Every 60 minute class is different so you don't get bored and you will work muscles you didn't know were there. They are open 6 days a week and have morning and evening classes so it's easy to find a time that works. read more

CanDo wasn't for me, maybe 1 class was ok. Cannot motivate to go to gyms and it's a pain in the ass the end the contract. Then I tried cross fit.. Awful, I don't want to look like a beefy man because I'm a woman. So then I tried CKO and yes I tried other locations but this one is excellent. All the trainers are down to earth and keep the workout intense enough to push you so you push yourself. If that made sense. I immediately joined after my first free class here. I recommend getting good boxing gloves so that you can punch hard to get a more intense workout. Gotta go into class now! read more

I have been a member since 2011. I love this place.I have been to traditonal gyms and they have been a serious waste of time and boring. One hour at CKO and you will recieve a total body workout. The trainers are all fun, friendly and effective. Luis and Brayan are my favorites. The variety in the schedule fits the need of my busy mommy and professional schedule. Love this gym! For as long as I can remember I've had the most difficult time finding a gym that was right for me. I've taken spinning classes, regular gym, and even tried those $150/month gyms, and still never felt I was given the right direction. Fortunately , I found the perfect gym that allows me to work at my own pace, busy schedule, awesome instructors & even started personal training with Rob! I LOVE CKO. If you're looking for a fun, HIIT, butt-kicking workout, CKO is it. it's no joke though and very intensive. People of all fitness levels take the class, but I have seen lean and toned individuals drenched and catching their breath. That's not to say it's not safe and approachable. Luis and his staff at this location are really motivating, great, dedicated people. I personally love this location because it plays awesome music--(hip-hop and Latin music that really gets you pumping)--as long as you're not into z100 and all the mediocre stuff on the radio. It also has really great instructors --WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING for me, at least. Each one has a slightly different style and approach to the 1-hour workout, and each will kick your butt. Seriously, I began taking a 4PM class and decided to try another time instead --bc I got my butt kicked at 4PM --well guess what, still got my butt kicked. They're all professionals and provide tips and monitor you throughout the class, which is also crucial as you can get injured and I have seen a lack of that at other CKO locations. They also don't make you feel like you have to keep up with everything/everyone, because cardio kickboxing can get really intensive for a beginner. I haven't been to many locations, but I'm pretty sure this one is smaller than others. The membership is expensive but if you stick to it, it's definitely worth it as you can seriously lose weight + tone, while feeling like Mayweather for a quick moment... The only recommendations I have for the instructors is in most of the classes, the music is so loud, we can barely hear what they're saying and always have to make sure we're looking at the instructor to see what we're doing next. CONS: Studio is in a busy plaza, so expect some parking struggles. Expensive,if you have a really tight budget and lots of expenses. Don't expect additional amenities at CKO locations like showers, etc. And that damn Dunkin Donuts right next door--I swear I always smell donuts when I'm doing burpees in the morning classes! If you're sticking to CKO past the Groupon deals, definitely invest in a better pair of gloves and you will feel all the difference. read more
