I have a 2010 Porsche Boxster that had the original radio/CD player. The buttons began to break after 13 years (2023). Rather than replace the buttons, I replaced the unit with a Sony touch-screen, Apple-Play, SiriusXM, Blue-tooth, AM/FM, and Back-up camera. The price was very reasonable and the installation perfect. It looks like original equipment. The car still runs like new and with this system upgrade, it looks and functions like a new car. Soooooo, interesting morning indeed. I had an appt at 8:30am with CKR Automotive Products, Inc to replace my antenna and to replace speakers. Well, they lost a customer today. Just to be fair, here is my side of the story........... Went to CKR last Thursday thinking I had to replace my radio. I called earlier that day and was advised by Justin to bring car by and they would look at it. Once there, I was told it was the antenna. Great! They did not have one. Justin then called O'Reilly in Wetumpka. They had one. I drove to Wetumpka to purchase complete, motorized, antenna, however, was not able to go back because I did not have enough time. So, my daughter called them to let Justin know I could not come back that day but will be there the next. I went back Friday morning after 10am (they actually had opened at 9am). Of course, the store had steady flow of customers. It came to a point that I asked and was agreed by Justin to make an appt to install the antenna and I also advised Justin that I needed speakers as well and he told me a price for standard speakers plus install of about $250.00. I then made an appt for TODAY at 8:30am. I showed up for my appt. Justin greeted those of us standing outside and then proceeded to ask me if I was dropping off my car or would wait. I then asked him how long will it be. Justin then proceeded to tell me that at 4:30pm yesterday afternoon, multiple customers wanted installs and that he had to "clear out" those customers first. I then stated that I had made an appt for TODAY. The he proceeded to say something and I cut him off and told him, "THAT'S OK!". I then turned around and got into my car and left the business. I don't want excuses being told to me. When I make an appt, it is with COMPLETE understanding that I am there at designated time to get service. It doesn't matter what a previous day's left overs are. If you don't honor appointments, then why set one up for a customer? I have a unique job that very few people do. I love my job and I am blessed by it. When I need to take care of personal business, I have to coordinate with others time. It's not a problem to do this. My time is precious just as your business is precious. So, I get a few truths from my whole experience with CKR AUTOMOTIVE/MOBILE PRODUCTS: 1. If you look up for a web site and once you click on the link and it says "SITE SUSPENDED" that is your first flag. 2. Observe the business interaction with customers. That can tell you A LOT. 3. Observe the employees. That can tell you A LOT as well. 4. If you have A LOT of time to waste, then this business is for you. If you are looking for a place to install dash camera wires they can do the job. I do not see the wires at all. They were very nice and scheduled me right away. I would suggest you hook it up to the fuse, battery and ground yourself though. I am guessing there are so many different styles out there it would be impossible to know them all. I had them hook mine up but the camera stayed on all the time making the motion detection parking feature inoperable. It was just loop recording 24 hrs a day. I returned but they said it was correct and would shut off after a few minutes, but when I checked, it ran all night. That is hard on the memory card and hard to find when something happens because there are a million videos to look through . I drove it back home and called my daughter in Vegas. She walked me through how to find a good fuse to use. Now it works as expected and turns on and off with the car but also I can use the motion detection feature when it is parked. I just want to say we had our Windows tinted all are speakers upgraded also had them install our amp and speaker box under the back seat with Rockford Fosgate speaker amp and they did a awesome job that was Christmas 2016 well recently it just wasn't sounding right i stopped in and Nick Bruno took the time to come out and listen to it and is gonna go through it Monday and get it right when I asked how much it's gonna cost he said nothing that he just wants us to be happy with it ...not only did he give us a great price on everything but after more than a year he stood behind his company's work no questions about it I wish more company's did that with there product i strongly recommend taking your vehicle there for all your sound and window upgrades!!!! read more

Worst customer service ever. I had a radar detector hard wired in my car after a couple of months it stopped working. I live 80 miles away and since they don't take appointments they are "too busy" to fix their inadequate work. Stay away!! read more

We recently purchased a system for our 2015 Dodge Challenger from Nick at CKR about 6 months ago. After purchasing the first system we decided to go back and do some upgrading to the speakers and amp for better sounds. Well about a month into to the second upgrade we noticed the radio was not coming on and the music sounded funny, not as clear as before. The problem stopped, but then came back weeks later with the radio screen not working and the speakers sounding funny again. We called and made an appt with Nick and he stated that found nothing wrong other than the radio being bad(factory installed). Well we wasn't convinced and pissed because we were told otherwise by another company. So immediately I called Nick being very upset because a lot of money has been spent and I wanted a resolution. Him knowing that we were great customers that just wanted things to be right, he personally ordered a radio and installed just to make sure that it was the factory installed radio and not the speakers and amp they installed, secondly the radio needed a code from the dealership and he personally paid for that out of pocket as well. I honestly can't say what happened other than me going by what was I told, but I can attest that he was a man of honor and integrity and I will be doing business with him again! read more

Recently went to CKR to get my system but in and they put it in and it worked great at first. Then it started to smell like burnt plastic. The next day it blew and I went to have them look at it again and they told me it was my amp. The only thing I didn't buy from them after they tired to sell it to me. They were extremely rude and wouldn't help me after they blew my amp. I really wish I would have never gotten anything by them. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! My subs went out, had them to look at it and they said my amp was gone. So paid them $250 to replace it. Austin advised the amp, which I now know is considerably weaker than than the amp that I had from crutchfeild for less. Josh did the work. 1 day later my radio started going out. I took it back to them and it took FOREVER to get them to look at it. I went Saturday,the next Saturday and the Thursday and Renaldo kept saying Monday at 9am. I had my wife drop it off at 9 am to Renaldo and I did a 8 hour shift at work and came to pick it up at 5.... and it was right where my wife left it!! He pulled it back at that time and a guy named Josh said it was the head unit now. Which was working fine before they touched it. So now, here I am 5 visits deep and $250 short and now I have NO MUSIC.... at least I had my six speakers before. If I could give a no star I would. And this is a 100% honest review, all I wanted was my music to work. read more
