I highly recommend Bright Horizons if you're looking for childcare in the area. My daughter started…read moreattending when she was 4 months old and has loved every moment. They have a great curriculum, amazing caring teachers, friendly and helpful directors, a clean and safe building... everything you could ask for! We are sent emails each week with the curriculum and activities that the children will be working on throughout the week. Even in the infant classroom, they're working on specific activities that address motor skills, language (including learning sign language), literacy, math, STEM, art, and social skills. We get alerts through the app whenever she has a meal, a nap, or a diaper change and pictures throughout the day showing us know what is happening in the classroom. She lights up when she sees her teacher in the morning which makes leaving her for the day so much easier. I really couldn't ask for a better place and group of people to help take care of my little girl!

The teachers are incredible-warm and loving, communicate well with parents, and seem to really enjoy teaching and working with children. We also love the enrichment they offer-music, robotics, and yoga/mindfulness are some of the offerings from over the years. I would not hesitate to recommend BH to anyone in the area looking for outstanding care.

To be able to wholeheartedly trust the folks at AW to care, educate and nurture my boys while I'm at work is such a gift. The teachers and directors are such loving, smart, helpful and fun people and it's felt like a little family the last few years. The friendships my boys have built here have been beautiful to watch. The teachers bring the kids outside in all weather and all the adventures and play become an opportunity to learn, build, grow and spark curiosity. I cannot say enough good things- we are beyond grateful for this wonderful place and amazing people!

Granted, we did have two virtual meetings to talk about his behavior- he was having potty talk, throwing toys sometimes and blowing raspberries/ making fart sounds with his friends (which the teachers said he was spitting on kids!!). When we met, I offered them suggestions about what works at home when he is giving us trouble but mid-sentence I was interrupted and persuaded time and time again that he needs an evaluation. I am sorry Applewild, five year old boys are just like that sometimes. I am very disappointed and heartbroken over their course of action. The director seems to be heartless. The teacher was so timid she didn't stick up for our son. The assistant teacher's main objective was making sure we got him evaluated. Which, we are right now...and he's doing great (he is above average!). They are not finding ANYTHING wrong. During his evaluation, the specialist told me that this is not the first time THIS YEAR that Applewild has kicked out children! Mid year- March! So now we are left scrambling for a new school, my son has anxiety about starting a new school, we have to get evaluations done just to prove Applewild wrong...so much stress! In conclusion, if you have a daughter, she will love this school. I would have loved it. If you have a child that needs firm rules and can get excited around other children, then Applewild will probably find your child to be "behavioral." I am deeply, deeply saddened by Applewild's approach. I have never in my life written a Yelp review- I am a very understanding person. This experience has rattled me to my core though. Something has to change with this school and they certainly should never try to persuade parents that something is wrong with their child. Shame on you, Applewild.

I fell in love with the beautiful classrooms and the educational philosophy. But the reality is that the administration makes it a miserable environment for teachers and parents, and therefor children as well. I had prepared my child mentally for attending CCG for over a year during the pandemic, and we were the schools biggest fans. If someone had told me somethin negative about the school, I would not have listened and would want to believe that it was a wonderful place. A place cannot be good for children if it treats children with disregard and families are met with hostility. There's nothing I can do to take back the immense stress that was caused to my family and child. Please look elsewhere, save your family the stress. I too read a bad review, but wanted to believe it was just one disgruntled person. It is not worth putting your child in the hands of an act. Go to the Groton Community School instead, or a small intimate daycare in a neighboring town, or get a nanny. Anything else but CCG.

They knew our boy better than we did sometimes, and gently shared with us what they had learned about watching him with his peers. The level of care, creativity, and playful instruction given to students at CCG is unparalleled. Thank you for everything you did for our family!
