A competitor offered a nearly identical ring -- similar specs, slightly different brand name on the band -- for about $2,500. That's a massive difference. We understand local stores have overhead. We understand brand premiums. But a 100% markup on a lab-grown diamond in today's market feels excessive -- especially when lab prices have dropped significantly nationwide. The staff took it to the jeweler in the back, and within five minutes came back and said: "Fixed. No charge." They simply adjusted the clasp back into place and recommended a future repair only if it started to fray. They absolutely could have charged me -- but they didn't. That says a lot.
