This has to be one of my favorite, locally owned businesses. They've been in business for over 90 years, and are always quick to help out the community. They also fill a need that should be more in demand. We need more tactile pieces, away from the digital world...which is kinda ironic, posting on a website. But it's true. They're cost effective, amazing to work with. All you need is a creative friend who can help with the artwork. This is also a great idea for stuff for kids. To teach them the practicality of creating a piece of art. The lil one can draw a balloon, it can be digitized, and turned into a stamp. How awesome would that be, that they have a piece of their art for the rest of their life. Clancy's is a place of a ton of possibilities. Which is wildly important for our community. read more

I absolutely love Clancy Stamp Company. I've gone there several times for custom stamps from drawings or jpegs and they always do a fantastic job. The turn-around is fast, the prices are super reasonable, and everyone I've encountered there has been incredibly kind. They make self-inking stamps, but I prefer to order the old-school ones with wooden handles. It makes me feel like an awesome old-timey bureaucrat. Never again will I order stamps from some online giant like Vistaprint when I can support a charming local business. They is an old-school business with that has serious character. read more

I have ordered from Clancy's for almost 30 years. They are truly a caring, customer-first, company. If they don't have it in stock, they will get it. Quality stamps - not the cheap ones that break in a year. And, they still deliver your order - personally! Who does that?! Knoxville is blessed to have them in our city! read more

Getting in and out is pretty decent and I advise people to go on Monday and Saturdays as these are the slowest days of the week. On top of that, the REASON I need a tech to come back is that the LAST ONE DIDN'T FINISH THE WORK. Instead of just taking my word for it, they're stalling. I'm supposed to consult the "manufacturer." WHICH manufacturer? The one for Xfinity's equipment? Hewlett-Packar? Apple? THAT IS NOT MY JOB. For a company that boasts about its customer service, there's precious little of it. Then, there's the whole thing about WHO shows up. When they sent someone a few weeks ago, he arrived wearing camouflage from head to toe and had a long KNIFE strapped to one thigh. I looked at his profile on FB. What I saw there did NOT make me feel better. Overall, I'm extremely unimpressed. If you have another option, take it. I'm still waiting for someone to follow up on my last call, and it's been over a month ago.

I called yesterday regarding the AccuQuilt Cutting Systems to make sure they were a dealer and had demo models prior to driving from Knoxville. I was pleased to find out they did. When I arrived, I was greeted even though they were busy with other customers. When the customers had been helped the shop owner, Amy then spent well over an hour with me, educating me and letting me try the different machines. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, making appropriate and helpful suggestions on the dies I would need based to the type of quilting I do. She was able to put together a custom package at a great price (even better than Amazon). I left pleased and feeling like I not only made an appropriate purchase but also a new friend. I will definitely be returning.

The foundation paper piecing was an amazing find. The shop was clean and well organized. Fabric selection was good and was very reasonable in price. I did ask for a few yards of fabric to be cut along with my other selections, the clerk was a bit abrasive at first and I was as thinking to myself "oh it figures typical quilt shop employee not taking a younger quilter seriously ". However, I pushed a little and made her stir up some conversation that was a little better but she still could have been a little more pleasant. Overall a nice place but I'm not sure I would drive out of my way to go there again.
