Madelyn Warner, is an amazing wonderful intelligent caring outstanding woman who is the best tutor in the world. She loves what she does and she genuinely cares. Not many people have that ability. She turned math into something I didn't hate. I don't hate it now. I knew that in order to get where I wanted to be; math was a part of getting there. I still talk to her to this day. When my baby is older and if he needs tutoring; I will go wherever she is. This adoration is coming from someone who fought everything, and this brilliant lady helped me through math and I got an A- and a B+. That's amazing and she's the best in the world. However, I will soon be re-entering the work-force, and I needed to find a preschool where I felt comfortable with the staff and students. To that end, I visited many different providers in the area, some sponsored by the county, some private. Melody Lane was on my list because the location was very convenient, and I received a referral from my friend who had her twins there before they started kindergarten. My first impression of the campus was that it was very organized and set up like a real "school." Some of my visits other locations were just sad (small campus, if any! nasty equipment, etc.). Melody Lane was sparkly and bright and I liked how secure it felt. Even the knob on the gate was really high so a child couldn't reach it! At first though it was weird - there was no child in site! But that is because the children aren't allowed to run unattended throughout the school. The children are always in the care of a teacher. Anyway, I met with the director and really liked her personality. I had my baby with me (okay, 16 months of age isn't exactly a baby LOL) and the director explained that my daughter would be in the baby room until two years of age. The baby room staff was really friendly and they seemed to take extra care with every charge! I was then taken to the toddler room and the other rooms. They have a full-time cook who gave my daughter a little snack while there. It was really cute. I just had the impression they weren't there to make money - they were there because they genuinely care about the work they do. But this place has been around since 1994 so I am not surprised they know their business! Anyway, long story short, I decided on Melody Lane and I have been really happy! My daughter spent six months in the baby room, then was moved up to the 2-year old room. The teacher, Miss Sol, is the kindest, most gentlest person I have ever met. One day when I arrived early to pick up my daughter, all of the kids were napping away except, of course, my daughter who had woken up early. Miss Sol was sitting on the floor rocking her and talking to her. My daughter was looking up at her with such an adoring expression! For me, it meant the world. I'm not the type of mom who gets threatened/jealous when my baby likes someone else LOL. But to know that my daughter is receiving such gentle care... The other neat thing is that sometimes they will text me a video of my daughter in class, while she is singing or dancing or learning something. It is so cute to see how she interacts with her little friends. Now that she is a little over two, she asks to go to school in the morning! And I'm blown away that at only 26 months of age, she can already COUNT TO TEN!! And she knows about 90% of the alphabet song! That is because of Miss Sol and the education they are providing at Melody Lane. Anyway, I cannot recommend them enough!

Since the new ownership took over, this daycare has significantly gone downhill. There has been a…read moreconstant turnover of teachers, which creates no consistency or stability for the children. It's very concerning to see staff constantly changing, especially in an environment where children need structure, familiarity, and proper care. I also feel the new management does not know how to properly handle the children or maintain the same quality of care that this daycare once had. Licensing/state has reportedly been called to the daycare multiple times since the new owner took over, which raises even more concerns as a parent. Overall, this daycare is not the same place it used to be, and I am extremely disappointed with the direction it has gone. At this point, I am seriously considering removing my children over the summer and enrolling them elsewhere because I no longer feel confident in the childcare being provided.

Overall, there was a lack of passion for teaching and love for the children. The location was more of a daycare where they keep your child alive than teach them love. Teachers did not play with children. You could just see that they didn't love their jobs. I witnessed a few book reading times and singing times where teachers sung with dead eyes and flat voices conveying that they were just going through motions. I feel like a bad parent for subjecting my child to this place. I caution any parent considering this school to visit and pay really close attention to all interactions between the teachers, the leadership and the children. Don't just base your decision on your discussion with them. If, when you see the above dynamic show itself, move along to any one of the other great preschools in Redlands. IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of other reviews are old and were posted in a close timeline indicating that possibly at one point they had a campaign to get reviews which speaks to the lack of credibility of those reviews.

Ms. Mitchell, Ms. Sandoval and Ms. Prentice teach academics, social skills and problem solving in a natural and gentle manner. I TRUST them implicitly with my only child.
