Since the new ownership took over, this daycare has significantly gone downhill. There has been a constant turnover of teachers, which creates no consistency or stability for the children. It's very concerning to see staff constantly changing, especially in an environment where children need structure, familiarity, and proper care. I also feel the new management does not know how to properly handle the children or maintain the same quality of care that this daycare once had. Licensing/state has reportedly been called to the daycare multiple times since the new owner took over, which raises even more concerns as a parent. Overall, this daycare is not the same place it used to be, and I am extremely disappointed with the direction it has gone. At this point, I am seriously considering removing my children over the summer and enrolling them elsewhere because I no longer feel confident in the childcare being provided. read more

I subpoena this "daycare"and even according to the other parents that they asked to do a review stated they had cameras. THEY PROVIDED NOTHING! In pure violation! Check out the other violations as well. This daycare is FRAUDULENT, DANGEROUS AND A JOKE! Especially JULIE BACA (who in her own Facebook claims she's a devoted christian) and was a joke, mocking me in court when she was not ask to appear. I specifically asked for records of the all the crap they claim to PROVIDE ME WITH NOTHING NOR THE COURT! Janice the owner did a letter without penalty of perjury- no evidence just mad because of these reviews. I have decided to move forward and sue them civilly for causing me enormous harm even after I sent them a cease and desist, they continue to harass me, slander my name, causing me monetary damages where I will ask for putative damages for unlawful defamation, slander and libel. This facility is constantly putting the children in danger. There are multiple homeless that hang around the gate consuming alcohol. The staff is unconcerned with this when brought to their attention. The children are not safe here. Not to mention they claim they can not supervise a class of 12 children properly because there is constantly kids claiming something happened but yet no teacher see's any of this going on. My children have been coming here for years. My son loves to come everyday! He loves the staff and all the activities they do together! I saw a bad review on this childcare center and I'm not going to lie or concerned me. But I decided to go in and see for myself. (Mind you I had seen other daycares before here. They just weren't the right fit) When it comes to my children I have to make sure I feel comfortable and secure where I leave them. I went In and didn't mention the review. I walked the entire daycare spoke to staff and I felt at ease. I signed up both my children even though my oldest was only going to be there for a couple years. My son came home after his first week and was so happy he made friends and loved the staff. My son is not your ordinary boy. He needs a lot of looking after and he is a handful . But the staff immediately knew how to be!! Aside from behavioral he is also in need of medication. The staff is very well trained and if you ever have concerns on whether your child will have good care this is the place to see. After I felt comfortable I brought up the review I saw on here and I said "I'm glad I didn't go off of that, I made a decision to come for myself and see everything with my own eyes!" The staff is amazing, communicative, helpful and very respectful. There are security measures in place to in case you have concerns for safety. My son(10) has been going there for the last 7 years as well as being cared for by one of the administrators when she ran a in home day care. My daughter who is 20 months old has also been enrolled here. Both my children are very happy going here and we have never had any issues. The staff is well watched if there is any issues with a teacher they have always been taken care of asap. Have my children gotten sick? Of course. Kids get sick from school or daycare. Its NORMAL. The problem isnt the school its the parents who know their child isnt feeling well and still brings them to daycare instead of staying home. As soon as the school sees a child isnt acting themselves they will notify the parent to have the child picked up immediately, even if the child has a temp that is a low grade fever. All in all, the daycare is good, I would and have recommended them everytime I am asked. read more

The school age classroom is only about 12-15 students and they can't even watch a class that small with proper attention. In the last year multiple teachers have been switched out and my child said one teacher was asked to leave after hitting and putting hands on a student. They never say why they can't keep a teacher for school aged class just that the class is getting a new teacher. They pick and choose which students get to behave however they want but if it's a student they have a personal problem with then they are extreme with policy's. I got a one day notice they are terminating my child from daycare because of a note from another parent. He had never had a bad interaction with this said child. I asked if my child did do that wouldn't a teacher see this interaction in a classroom with only 12 children if they are being properly supervised ? The response was vague and lacked real evidence or documentation of this incident. They can not handle small classrooms and lack actual supervision. Where can I start. My daughter has been going to this school since she was 1 1/2 all the way till she was in Kindergarten with Melody Lane!! They were amazing with my daughter!! They taught her so much. I always wanted to be a stay at home mom and I couldn't but they helped me so much with her learning she even learned some Spanish amazing!!! They are always there to help and lend a hand. I have trust issues when it comes to my daughter and since the first day of the tour I took I was relieved and at peace!! I'm still friends with all the teachers and staff!!! Great school keep it up!!! Some people want to bash the school and has nothing to do with the school it's more personal with their spouse to win custody what a shame. My daughter never got lice when she went there for the 4 years she's been there. Very big on keeping things sanitary great lunches they provided healthy at that. They help parents when parents have no one to get babysitters. This school should never be put into people's personal life. Because it's has been a big blessing to us all!!! So, I want to start out this review by saying that I am a stay-at-home mom who was very, very reluctant to have her child in preschool. However, I will soon be re-entering the work-force, and I needed to find a preschool where I felt comfortable with the staff and students. To that end, I visited many different providers in the area, some sponsored by the county, some private. Melody Lane was on my list because the location was very convenient, and I received a referral from my friend who had her twins there before they started kindergarten. My first impression of the campus was that it was very organized and set up like a real "school." Some of my visits other locations were just sad (small campus, if any! nasty equipment, etc.). Melody Lane was sparkly and bright and I liked how secure it felt. Even the knob on the gate was really high so a child couldn't reach it! At first though it was weird - there was no child in site! But that is because the children aren't allowed to run unattended throughout the school. The children are always in the care of a teacher. Anyway, I met with the director and really liked her personality. I had my baby with me (okay, 16 months of age isn't exactly a baby LOL) and the director explained that my daughter would be in the baby room until two years of age. The baby room staff was really friendly and they seemed to take extra care with every charge! I was then taken to the toddler room and the other rooms. They have a full-time cook who gave my daughter a little snack while there. It was really cute. I just had the impression they weren't there to make money - they were there because they genuinely care about the work they do. But this place has been around since 1994 so I am not surprised they know their business! Anyway, long story short, I decided on Melody Lane and I have been really happy! My daughter spent six months in the baby room, then was moved up to the 2-year old room. The teacher, Miss Sol, is the kindest, most gentlest person I have ever met. One day when I arrived early to pick up my daughter, all of the kids were napping away except, of course, my daughter who had woken up early. Miss Sol was sitting on the floor rocking her and talking to her. My daughter was looking up at her with such an adoring expression! For me, it meant the world. I'm not the type of mom who gets threatened/jealous when my baby likes someone else LOL. But to know that my daughter is receiving such gentle care... The other neat thing is that sometimes they will text me a video of my daughter in class, while she is singing or dancing or learning something. It is so cute to see how she interacts with her little friends. Now that she is a little over two, she asks to go to school in the morning! And I'm blown away that at only 26 months of age, she can already COUNT TO TEN!! And she knows about 90% of the alphabet song! That is because of Miss Sol and the education they are providing at Melody Lane. Anyway, I cannot recommend them enough! read more

My review is for the amazing teachers here at Melody lane. They are all so sweet and caring. I'm very comfortable leaving my child/children here while i go to work. I have never had any issues with them. Definitely going through some crazy times right now and i am thankful to have them. My son has been enrolled at Melody Lane since 2014. He is now 10. He began being cared for full time while I was at work. He is now school age and is on the pick up and drop off schedule. I absolutely love this place and their staff. I've never had major issues with this daycare. As a single mother who relocated here from LA I have found exceptional support from Melody Lane. My son loves his daycare and the staff. Through out the years they have become more of an extended family to us, Because they genuinely care and love my son. I feel absolutely confident that my son is safe and well taken care of while I go to work. I definitely recommend this daycare it's small but a great place to care for your children. read more

At first this school seemed good. But my son started to pee his pants everyday and we had no idea why because he was already potty trained very well. So after a couple weeks of this he ended up telling us that another boy in his class was touching him. He also told us it was inside the classroom. The classes have like 10 kids and they're pretty small so to him say it happened inside the classroom is mind boggling. Obviously the teacher wasn't paying attention to miss that! Immediately after hearing that, we went to the school and informed them of this. They told me they would give me a follow up call and let his parents know. We never got a follow up call or any sort of information on what had happened. We don't even know if that conversation left the room. Besides that he never had projects that he brought home and never seemed to learn anything he didn't already know. I would've given it 0 stars if I could. read more

Melody Lane holds a very special place in my heart!!! My children are adults now, 27 & 23. However, if they were school age children now, they we would definitely be attending Melody Lane. Ms. Janice and her staff saved my life. If it wasn't for their understanding, flexibility and the love and compassion they showered upon my boys, I wouldn't have been able to work and provide for my family. I NEVER once worried about my boys when they were at Melody Lane. I spoke with Ms. Julie today and I finally had the chance to express my wholehearted appreciation for the services they provided for my family. I've heard horror stories about day care centers and I know those of you reading this have heard them too! I'm so thankful and honored to say that Ms. Janice and her staff would NEVER allow ANYTHING like that to occur at Melody Lane! They honestly and truly love each and every child under their care. This is an unsecured facility where anyone can walk on to the premises at any time. They are opened from 6am to 6pm but when I dropped my child off at 6am there was only 1 care provider there with my child and no other children? Isn't there a law against that? The two front office ladies Elizabeth and Julie aren't on the same page on anything and seem to be very forgetful and unorganized. On three separate occasions we were lied to by Elizabeth and Julie acts like she doesn't know how to smile and give a warm greeting. You definitely get what you pay for at Melody Lane and they want every dime and don't believe in prorating anything! If they're closed on a holiday for 1 or 2 days you still have to pay full price, your made unware of that in the registration paperwork but isn't made clear. We understand the policy but when you've had 3 children go in the program over the last 4yrs you expect a little grace, that's called doing good business. The teachers/care providers were great and definitely made up for the lack of warmth and organization in the front office. They're the only people we're going to miss. We never got a chance to meet or speak with the owner Janice even though we were told she would be calling us. I guess this should've been expected at a children's facility that leave the front gate wide open putting our childrens wellbeing in danger. They're the cheapest for a reason. read more

The school director, Janice, goes to great painstaking lengths to ensure each child's safety and comfort level, as well as ensuring complete compliance with all State regulations for child care centers. She and her staff are warm, personable, professional and considerate to the needs of each child; they genuinely care and you easily get that sense when you speak with them. Additionally, they're very well-prepared for the separation anxiety that very typically occurs during the first few days (or sometimes weeks) of new students being there...which, for me, definitely helped to set my mind at ease. My son spent several years there, from the age of 2 until he started kindergarten at 5, while I had to return to work full-time. He's 11 now and he still remembers and talks about the fun activities, art projects, and holiday feasts that he enjoyed during his time at Melody Lane.
