I signed up for BLS and PALS classroom renewal courses and my instructor for both was Marcus. Before I have to complain about many things, I wanted to note that Marcus' teaching was clear, concise and straightforward, and I was thankful for it. However, a big problem that me and many of people on here experienced was his punctuality. For my BLS class, he was around 30 minute late to the Pembroke Pines site, and the classroom was locked from the outside (see the picture below). And for my PALS class, it turned into an online (Zoom) class because he said he wasn't feeling well. However, he kept me wait for almost 25 minutes before he showed up on the Zoom. I understand that he has another job and things can be unpredictable, but having all these tardiness all this time is not acceptable. Especially he kept us waiting for half an hour or more. That was just one of the problems I encountered. Now the second one. After I finished the PALS course, I had to keep urging him (texting and emailing) multiple times before he finally emailed me my PALS certificate. This wasn't expected because he told me I'd receive it the next day, and I received my BLS certificate same-day right after my course. Frustrating. Now the courses themselves. For BLS since the classroom was locked, he made the course happen outdoors on the ground level of the building. It was hot outside. I was doing the chest compressions on the manikin drenched in sweat. Luckily the course ended timely so I didn't suffer a heat stroke. And for PALS he just let me do a 50-question written test. No demonstration of skills on a manikin at all, and no hands-on skills test for this course. I remember doing certain procedures like IO access when I did my first PALS training 2 years ago. In summary I went to his BLS and PALS courses because they were one of the affordable ones on AHA. If you are budgeting like me, it won't hurt to train with Marcus but you will have a lot to go through like many of us on here. If you don't mind the expensive costs of the trainings, do yourself a. favor by finding other courses. I gave 2 stars because I was eventually given my 2 certificates without passing the hospital's deadlines. read more

Paid for the class online and booked it two weeks prior. Called the listed number, texted, emailed and didn't receive replies neither before or the day of class despite the booking from the automated website system and receiving an automated booking reminder for this morning. I showed up to the Kendall location at 6:50 am for a 7AM class and no one was here. I walked the building and tried all the doors and nothing. I selected the Kendall location for the training. I'm wondering if these people are just scamming. This is professional building but all offices were closed. I'm working with my credit card to get my money back. read more

Lack of professionalism and integrity. I scheduled for a class online with the booking system. I received a confirmation email that class would be for 7/2/2022 at 1pm. At 12:30 on 7/2/2022 I received a text message from Marcus stating that they have been having some issues with the website and he just received the notification that I scheduled for class. He asked if we could push the time back a bit due to him being at work and I said sure can you give me a heads up of what time ? No response. Text him a few hours later and no response. I had already paid though the website so I called my bank to dispute the $60 charge and will be receiving my refund. read more

This has to be one of the worst experiences with BLS recertification. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL company that I could've ever been referred to. I book my class via the website and instructed and paid. I was sent a zoom link in my confirmation email. I made sure that I was available for the class time. The morning of the class comes and I waited about 45 mins total in the zoom waiting room. While I waited I emailed, texted the whatsapp number, and called the number on the webpage. No response. Finally I was contacted via emailed and the owner stated that he "thought he turned off the classes because it was his anniversary"... He offered a refund in addition to a reschedule which I accepted. So he let me know that I would be refunded but still be able to take the class. The rescheduled tie was the next day... Guess who didn't show up to the zoom meeting. I emailed and called with no response for a while. I ever let the gentleman know that my BLS was to expire at the end of the month. There was no offer to reschedule. I asked for a refund because the refund that he claimed was on the way wasn't showing in my account. That was August 26, 2022.... Today is September 20, 2022. There is still no refund. After emailing the owner about the refund, there was no response at all. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe life is busy or business is busy and he will get to it. I finally disputed the charge yesterday and let my company know and discouraged the use of this company in the future. Bad behavior and unprofessionalism should not be rewarded with more business. BEWARE. Update: Guess who emailed me after this review posted. Weird. read more

I wish I could rate 0 stars. Horrible company. No communication what so all. Registered for the zoom acls/bls renewal combo a week prior. Didn't receive any links to anything. I called and emailed several times. Marcus finally got back to be 1hr before the start with a link to the pretest. This isn't my first time renewing. I know you have to do the online modules and course pretest in order to complete the course. I was told don't worry about it. The zoom lasted maybe an hour. I was asked if I was renewing and if this was for acls or bls. Extremely unprofessional not even knowing what class I was taking. Normally I love getting things done quickly but this is fraud. Allowing people to just take the test and call it good isn't ok. I asked several times about when I would receive my cards and heard nothing. After about the 5th email I was told "he would know more in 2 hours." I kindly let them know I would be reporting them to the bbb after talking with my recruiter and how they are practicing unlawfully. Right after I said this suddenly my cards would be ready and he was trying to help me out. However I already decided to rebook my acls/bls renewal through a previous company I used that is accredited. I was told I would receive a refund so I'll see if that happens. I hope no one uses them in the future this company needs to be shutdown. Additionally when trying to call the voicemail box was full so I couldn't even leave a message. Beware everyone!! I needed to get my BLS certification quickly and chose a class with Marcus Pitts at 2525 Ponce De Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables for today. I even called him the day before and he verified telling me the Saturday course was in Coral Gables. I get to the class Saturday morning and find a completely different instructor who had no idea who Marcus Pitts or Claridy CPR training was. Called Mr. Pitts cellphone over and over and it went straight to voicemail every time. Drove 25 minutes and wasted gas for nothing. If you're looking for CPR certification courses in Coral Gables, avoid this place because they are not located there. read more

The structure and organization of this company needs to be severely improved. After my first reservation for an in-person course was made, Marcus told me the morning of the appointment that I had to either complete it online, attend the class at another location that was much farther from my home, complete the course online and meet later on or reschedule for another day. Ultimately, I had to reschedule for another day. I made a second reservation for his course in Tamarac and 17 minutes before the course was scheduled to begin, he said he would see IF he could get an instructor to the location I booked. You would think that if the appointment is available to be reserved online for a certain location, there would already be an instructor there... In addition, there are multiple locations and addresses listed and some of them are incorrect. I waited at the Tamarac location for some time and he never got back to me about whether or not he was able to get an instructor to the location I booked, so I couldn't complete the course that day either. I understand Marcus must be very busy but when running a business, communication and punctuality are extremely important and both of these factors are missing. read more

I took the certification course in person for CPR/AED/First Aid. The instructor is very knowledgeable, I felt engaged in the learning process; the class was more of a discussion and less of a lecture. Communication before and after the course was good. I received the certification card online 3 business days after the course which is very prompt, but I was told I would receive it the same day or the next day. Just say within a week and people will be pleasantly surprised when it arrives early! read more

I completed my ACLS certification with Marcus and could not have had a better experience. The location was easy to find and I liked that I was able to do it during the week. Marcus was a great instructor and explained everything very well. I actually wrote down a lot of notes and will keep them for future reference. If you need your CPR Card the same day you take your training class this might not be the best option for you. However, this is a legit business and they do deliver. It is NOT a scam. Instructor Marcus is very knowledgeable and you do learn or refresh your basic knowledge of important CPR, AED and First Aid practices. The owners or management of this business, however, need to straighten up a few things. Location address is not correct on the website and email communications. Punctuality has room for improvement. Still, I did get my training and my CPR Cert card for my new employment. Thanks to instructor Marcus for following up and responding to all my communications. read more

After signing up online and paying the $50 class fee, I reported to the facility a few days later at the scheduled time. There was one other person that showed up for the class and we both waited outside. We waited, waited some more, and then we waited some more. Finally, about 45 minutes later I emailed the "teacher" asking for a refund and he said "come drive 45 minutes across town where I'm teaching another class". I said no thank you, I'll take the refund. Two weeks and a few emails later and I still haven't been refunded. Marcus is a liar and thief. Save your time and money! read more
