went in as a standby because I couldn't make an appointment because their website was down for over 3 hours. I'm aware that walk-ins might not be seen. Understandable. I saw my name on the TV as the only standby, number 1. 10 minutes later I became number 3. I asked why and the staff said they don't know how the TV display keeps track of the order, but standby's are seen in the order that they check in. False! I watched people walk in without an appointment and get seen before me. Yes, it's still happening. I called the head office to let them know they need supervision (and customer service training), and they said the supervisors for the Aventura location is Vicki or Jackie and neither one goes to the location regularly and that one would call me. instead, I got a call from a very rude (and belligerent) woman named ASHLEY who would not listen to me. she still doesn't know they're still doing that to people. all she would say is, if you don't have an appointment you might not get seen. irrelevant, because that was not the issue. She seemed unaware of the poor reviews of that specific location. Unconcerned. Arrogant and condescending. never had a problem at other locations. Aventura has nobody in charge, just a list of people who don't go there but can make phone calls and berate patients for not making an appointment. I'm writing because a month earlier I went in and saw an 84 year old woman CRYING because she was there for 4 hours and new standbys were being seen before her. They need senior supervision to get organized, informed about the process (trained), and to appoint someone ACCOUNTABLE for the elder abuse they keep perpetrating. A greedy, mismanaged company which enjoys being the only game in town. Other Quest locations have helpful organized and well managed teams. Aventura is abusing the elderly and its disgusting. ASHLEY would not listen to a word I had to say. Rude and condescending. Disgusting! I hung up on ASHLEY when she told me for the third time that walkins might not be seen. THAT WAS NOT THE ISSUE! It's important that we all demand better service and respect. Not only for ourselves, but For the elderly whose trip there is an enormous challenge. Stop abusing them, ASHLEY. You will be old one day too and you'll appreciate empathy fand compassion from a health care provider. You still don't know why the standby's aren't seen in order. Clearly you don't care because all you can do is shame people for not having an appointment. How hard is it to keep track of the order in which people checked in? How do the other Quest locations do it, ASHLEY? Plus you claimed to check the records before calling me (as if you're so dilligent) but you missed the fact that I had checked in 3 and a half hours before you said I did. Terrible service and complete lack of professionalism! I arrived at Quest Diagnostics just one minute late to drop off a simple urine sample--which all they had to do was take--but because I exceeded their 15-minute grace period by a single minute, they refused to accept it and treated me as a walk-in. As a result, I had to wait over an hour just to hand over a small box. Their staff is extremely intolerant, rude, and unprofessional. They are inconsiderate, inefficient, and unwilling to help in any way. There is no one to talk to, and they act stubborn and inflexible, as if you're talking to a brick wall. They simply don't care. I went there for the first time to do a lab work that my doctor ordered. It was a bit crowded with nowhere to sit. The good thing is I was called 5 minutes after my appointment and the quality of care that I received from Cindy was satisfactory. My doctor sent me to Quest Labs in Aventura for an urgent blood test. I got there at 3:02, but the office closes at 3pm. One of the employees was letting someone out the door, so I asked her if I could please come in. She said, "No, come back tomorrow morning, we're closed now." I pleaded with her, but she refused. She was quite rude. There were several other people in the waiting room, but regardless, she refused to let me in. I asked to speak to the supervisor, but she told me the supervisor was busy. When I asked her for her name, she refused to give it to me. I asked why, and she said, "I'll give it to you tomorrow when you return." It's deplorable that a medical establishment treats its clients in this manner. Shame on Quest! read more

Not good experience. Usually I get my blood drawn at my family doctor or elsewhere but recently had not the best experience at North Miami location so decided to try out this Aventura location. The location itself is nice, clean and light but the employee was forgetful. I just ask her one thing to do and she forgets it after few minutes. Usually most places use the smallest needle (or baby needle as I call it) and I feel zero pain/pressure. Actually usually ask if it's done or when do we start. They use the smallest needle after my request or think of it themselves. Not here and not in North Miami. I asked her to use the smallest needle, she said "Yes" and after painful experience I looked and asked "This doesn't look like small needle!" She said "Oh, I forgot, sorry." So yeah.. I didn't even know it's such a huge difference! My hand was still hurting after one hour, I could barely move it. Not sure if it's like that with everyone but this was very unpleasant. Just because you make an appointment online and receive a text confirmation and email confirmation, don't think you really have an appointment. I received a text message to check in at Quest's Aventura, FL office, when I tried to check in, the response was that they couldn't find my appointment. Also tried their automated check-in at the facility, but received the same response. Luckily there was an employee in the waiting room and I showed her my printed appointment confirmation. She went to check with the office manager, but the manager was unsympathetic to Quest's mistake and wouldn't honor the appointment. They use the latest in testing technology, ensuring your experience is painless, they all show compassion and caring, as I observed with the room full of other patients waiting to be seen and their welcoming interaction with each and every one of them. Staff was unfriendly and unprofessional; particularly the person who checks you in. I witnessed her tell an old lady to go wait outside instead of allowing her to sit in the lobby. When the old woman asked her why she couldn't have a seat, the employee raised her voice slightly and snapped back that she doesn't have an appointment and needs to go outside. One patient after another... poor interaction with EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. When I went inside, the technician asked me if I had fasted and I responded "sort of" because I had coffee that morning forgetting that i had an appointment later. I was going to explain this, but instead she cut me off and did the same thing as the front desk person... slightly raised her voice because she was annoyed by my answer and asked, "DID YOU OR DID YOU NOT FAST THIS MORNING??" The front desk employee here deserves nothing less than the unemployment line. She was unbelievably rude because I did not have a mask today 6/3/22. She said they were not in the business of handing out masks and that she did not care if I wasn't told. She then demanded that I read the email to show that it's required. I have no issue wearing a mask if it were better communicated. But I was forced to leave the building and walk around in the rain to search for a mask. This is unbelievable. They are giving free Covid 19 tests all over Miami free All these Pharmaceutical companies are working with these laboratories and Doctors to commit fraud on people to get highet numbers I f you test positives on the covid 19 test. They get money from the from the govt. . One guy was shot three times in the chest. And because he tested positive on his covid 19 test . They listed his death as "Covid 19 death. Update: I see Quest Diagnostics responded to my review with the standard "if this happened" non-apology. There's a review from over one month ago with a complaint identical to mine (crowding in the hallway, long line, no social distancing) with the same response from Quest. Clearly they don't care, or they would have actually fixed the issue. That man was violently coughing in a tiny, cramped, unventilated hallway with over a dozen people very close by. If he had covid, he most likely infected every single person in that line including me. I've been monitoring my health and I feel unwell but don't have a cough. You can't cram 20+ people into a dark, tiny hallway, leave them there for 30+ minutes, and THEN screen them for covid at the office door. Station someone *outside* the building's front door and screen people there, so all the waiting happens outside. I went to another Quest Monday to get my test and that's the system they used. I am so upset that I have to wake up every morning wondering if I'll develop symptoms today because Quest Diagnostics was shamelessly negligent despite warnings from other Yelp reviewers. read more

This is the 3rd time ive been to this lab in walgreens adventura. People standing. You dont know how many people have appointment/ walk in or what the wait will be. Your just standing in the store isle. One time i checked in 45 min before they closed. I sat for 20 minutes. No one in or out. Went into store to grab something, came back at 10 minutes before closing. Waited in isle, i finally knocked on door, she said she was closed. Coming to this lab there's a 50/50 chance you will actually get your scheduled appointment. When you check in I would recommend immediately asking the staff about your appt. This is the most inconvenient place or business to get any type of blood work done. Their schedule is awful , only working from 6 AM to 330 PM. MEANING you'll have to automatically ask for time off from work. Make sure that you're not late to this appointment because if you're more than 10 minutes late for any reason your appointment will be canceled and then you have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks so another appointment is available with quest. God forbid you have an emergency and make it 11 minutes late. Atrocious customer service. Nobody there to attend you. Only 2 iPads greet you. The Dr office said I am the 6th person today that couldnt find the Lab. She was kind enough to look up their new address. I was 20 MIN late for my appt. It was very frustrating to say the least. I came at 11:30am for drop off with 15 months old baby I was told in advance that I will not need to wait the baby already if the blood test. When I came the lady in check in was rude and very not understanding I took my sit and wait it said 8 minutes and 20 minutes later it said on the screen 14 minutes I kindly asked her to check if possible to help since I'm with baby that is crying and uncomfortable and it is only drop off Her answer was one word: NO ! This Lab just wants schedule as much appointments as possible in a day regardless of short staff. Elders fasting with 8am appointment had to wait 1-2 hours which is inhumane. Once again quest diagnostics sees the patient as a number instead of a human. read more

I had the most unpleasant experience with the technician by the name of RENEE, while my husband was getting labs done at this Quest this morning! As i tried to help answer the preliminary questions before the test, the technician...simply asked me to leave the cubicle! Just like that! Please wait outside, she told me! My husband is cognitively impaired, he is hard of hearing, English is not his dominant language and he is a cancer patient presently receiving treatment! He has communication issues and he needs my backup...i don't do it for kicks, I'm his caregiver and this individual just asked me to leave the cubicle for trying to answer her questions! I left the cubicle and waited outside as i was asked to do! When my husband walked out, i went back in, explained the situation and told her she had been rude! When i told her i was going to report her, which i just did to corporate, her answer was, please do! Nasty, rude and sarcastic ! I'm in and out of doctors' offices all the time due to my husband's multiple conditions, i am his caregiver and his advocate, i have never been treated that way, ever! They open in time but the guy that open the door to the public ( the only man in there ) was so rude , he didn't even say good morning. Later when we got in he was attending the public but you can tell he wasn't there .. no interest about patient or customer service at all. The waiting room was pack and I was looking at him walking from one point to another doing nothing.
