They have the most fabulous breakfast ever! There were rotating items daily: omelettes (cheese and western), scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, Canadian back bacon, sausages, home fries, pancakes, waffles, berry compote, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. The ladies continually brought out food and cleaned the tables, always friendly & efficient. There was coffee and water always available in the lobby so we could keep our water bottles filled. We initially booked for 4 days, but were so happy that we booked an additional 3 days. I would stay here again and heartily recommend it.

The bonus and bright spots were the water pressure and temperature was sufficient , parking is free, and the Aroma restaurant and bar and Denny's is connected. Additionally we didn't know where the ice machine was. It was Labor Day weekend and the noise level some people on trip advisor was non existent. Very quiet. Overall an okay stay not great, lots of room for improvement. Tip remember to ask for an itemized descriptive receipt for reference because of the dollar vs Canada currency rate if you are visiting. Minor Issues with the room #111. Light bulb out in bathroom vanity ,tv mounted crooked. Small flies in the kitchen area. We got the room cleaned after the 3rd night and our towels replenished she did a good job, took our garbage bags as well from every bin. If I have a choice, would not be staying at Sandman hotel again . The cons vs pros made my decision .

As soon as we entered the lobby it felt like we were entering a boutique hotel somewhere in Europe, and when we found our room - "Under the Tuscan Sun" - that was only accentuated even more. It was a quiet place, beautifully decorated, with everything we needed. The breakfasts cooked by Sandi were absolutely amazing, and Chris was a gracious server and conversationalist. They are also host to many different birds - Chris mentioned something like 150 varieties sighted around them. We had hummingbirds coming right up to the window beside our table at breakfast. Though we were really only a few kilometres from home, it felt like we'd gone much further away. Thanks, Chris and Sandi, for your wonderful hospitality.

It turned a disappointing event into a wonderful memory. The Oostema Farmstead is a picturesque farm and you can't beat how nice the people are. There are a lot of perks to staying here. The price was comparable during our stay to other hotels that don't have quite the quaint feel, level of service, or room appeal. During your stay you can get complimentary passes to a couple gyms/pools in town. You either make the walk or drive to them however. I do enjoy an attached gym and pool. That was the only downside. You can also get a free pass for a yoga class! The yoga studio is two stores down and seems so fun. I would have scheduled a massage here as it was super reasonably priced for 60 or 90 minutes, but the last booking was nabbed by the time I made up my mind. Also, free bike check out if you happen to be here during nicer weather. Too cold for us. In the room you'll find quality bath amenities, free snacks and drinks, coffee maker, water kettle, teas, and a decent sized fridge. The bathroom had ample towels and nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers (simple human). There was a hair dryer (not the best) and a lighted makeup mirror. If you've forgotten something (toothbrush/paste, razor, etc) they have some convenient supplies at their front desk per the in-room info folder. The only thing you'll want to note is that our sink/mirror was outside of the shower/bathroom if that matters to you or your roomate. Very clean and appreciate that pets are not allowed here. Would definitely stay here again. Parking: Ample street parking adjacent to the hotel during our stay.
