We've been traveling / staying in the Bellingham area for years. How did we just discover this gem? Lovely in every aspect. Thoughtful in every detail. I've never stayed on a property where you are escorted to your room upon checking in and are offered an introduction to all of the details. There are small luxuries everywhere you look. Upscale toiletries and fixtures, the smoothest sheets I've ever slept on, complimentary snack basket in your room. In addition the downtown is charming and immaculate. Flowers overflowing from hanging baskets and decorative pots, Avenue Bread right off the hotel lobby (IYKYK) and cute locally owned shops. Put this inn on your bucket list! read more

The Inn is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Lynden. It's attached to an adjacent bookstore and cafe that serves excellent coffee, pastries, and meals. There are a lot of perks to staying here. The price was comparable during our stay to other hotels that don't have quite the quaint feel, level of service, or room appeal. During your stay you can get complimentary passes to a couple gyms/pools in town. You either make the walk or drive to them however. I do enjoy an attached gym and pool. That was the only downside. You can also get a free pass for a yoga class! The yoga studio is two stores down and seems so fun. I would have scheduled a massage here as it was super reasonably priced for 60 or 90 minutes, but the last booking was nabbed by the time I made up my mind. Also, free bike check out if you happen to be here during nicer weather. Too cold for us. In the room you'll find quality bath amenities, free snacks and drinks, coffee maker, water kettle, teas, and a decent sized fridge. The bathroom had ample towels and nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers (simple human). There was a hair dryer (not the best) and a lighted makeup mirror. If you've forgotten something (toothbrush/paste, razor, etc) they have some convenient supplies at their front desk per the in-room info folder. The only thing you'll want to note is that our sink/mirror was outside of the shower/bathroom if that matters to you or your roomate. Very clean and appreciate that pets are not allowed here. Would definitely stay here again. Parking: Ample street parking adjacent to the hotel during our stay. read more

This is such a beautiful place to stay in a adorable city like Lynden. The marriage of old world charm and elegant modern detail is so perfect. The staff were superb. Friendly greeting and excellent hospitality from the moment you walk into the lobby. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were comfy. I couldn't say enough good things about this boutique hotel. If I'm ever in the area again, I will stay at this hotel. Centrally located, gorgeous rooms, attached to a wonderful restaurant, as well as no a gift shop and a beer garden. There is a business lobby, and Game area available to everyone. It is so wonderful the receptionist who welcomed us had been there for years. It's a boutique style hotel that doesn't come out a boutique! Definitely worth a stay. This is a wonderful hotel and was a wonderful experience after we did an Alaska cruise. We had friends in the surrounding area and I wanted a place that was comfortable between visits. There arerestaurants and shops nearby, just so much fun. Did I luck out! The bookstore in the hotel is one of the best I have visited in sometime. There is an adjacent restaurant in the hotel where you can have fabulous for breakfast , lunch, or dinner. The receptionist and hotel personnel were extremely helpful. The town is small but beautiful, flower baskets hanging everywhere. Don't miss this hotel or the town if you are anywhere near it. It is close to the border of Canada, if you are doing a stop before entering Canada. Love, love this hotel and the town. Fun restaurants and don't miss the natural health store. My computer froze while I was there and a man at that store fixed it in minutes. Also very informative for homeopathic remedies. The town and surrounding area is lovely, the raspberry capital of the USA. They put raspberry jam on anything and it is delicious! read more

Fantastic little boutique hotel with exemplary service and an abundance of unique touches. The Inn at Lynden not only encapsulated small-town rustic charm, but the staff also went above and beyond to accommodate us in a variety of ways. You can tell quality customer service is a genuine priority of theirs. And, the overall ambiance is quite charming: ancient beams, a large welcoming foyer, and the remaining portions of the beautiful original architecture add to the hotel's overall charm. Think huge supporting wood beams for the ceilings, with original hardware and complementary decorative accents. The entire building is actually home to a few other convenient venues as well (Avenue Bread is really good!), and the rooms were comfy, modern, and very clean. All in all, The Inn at Lynden feels like a fancy boutique hotel without the annoying price point. One small random thing I especially appreciated is that instead of the myriad of single-use shampoo and shower gel bottles that are in most hotels, there are dispensers in the shower itself. Personally, I think those mini bottles are ridiculous on a variety of levels (can anyone even get the remaining 1/3 out of the bottle?), and rather than use and then throw away hundreds of tiny plastic bottles, the refillable in-shower dispensers are a great idea. Also loved the apples at the desk, local tea and coffee in the rooms, and complimentary cruiser bikes for putting around town. One downside was that there are no fitness rooms on site. They give you some free passes to local ones, but for ease of being with my family I would've preferred to just pop in a small on-site gym. Also, water pressure in the showers is on the weaker side, and unfortunately same with the strength of the WiFi. read more

Great little boutique hotel! Lynden is a quaint Dutch style downtown, yes there are Dutch windmills!!!! Easy to find, and during the heat wave, great ac in the rooms. There is direct hotel parking, rather you get a pass to park in 4 nearby lots. No pool onsite, but you can get a pass to a gym that has a pool down the road. The room was so nice! Huge bed, king, a pull out twin chair, and a table with two chairs. No microwave, but a great mini fridge that kept our drinks and treats super cold. An easy miss, we found an eyelash extension on the ledge of the window. First we thought it was a bug, which would be odd since we saw none indoor, so a closer inspection revealed its true nature. Yuck. But everything else was super clean. Good service, they escorted us to the room after checking in. Would definitely stay again. read more

This place was top notch from the second we pulled up. It is a small town with character and the building itself is rustic sheik. When we arrived at checkin the woman at the front seat walked us to our room to show us where it was and even inside to show us our complimentary water bottles and welcome letter with coupons for around town and also free gym use at two local gyms. Customer service was amazing and friendly. Our room was clean and looked more like a high rise condo than typical "hotel" room. I also love that they close the front seat at 10pm. Felt like staying a a friends place than a giant hotel. We came with kids to hit up the local fair and rodeo but I would love to come back with the hubby or for a girls weekend. read more

We found our new must stay spot when visiting family in Lynden, WA this past weekend. The Inn has created an incredible boutique hotel experience, a home away from home. It is located in the historic rebuilt mercantile building and shares the space with a tap room, bakery, local shops and book store. It is right on historic Main Street steps away from a great stroll and window shopping. Or, rent one of their quality bikes and pedal your way through Lynden taking in the countryside. The hotel's ambiance is charming and warm. The historic refurbished wood flooring and beams melts away into the modern touches. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. The beds were cozy and lulled you into a nice quiet sleep. They have great local sourced complimentary tea and coffee in each room. A very nice touch! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Found a gem for a family ski trip to Mt Baker. Amazing service, attention to detail, great beds and a quiet place to unwind. Great recommendations for takeout meals (Steakhouse 9, Burnt Ends were the best). There is also a gourmet bakery that covers breakfast and lunches right in the building. I would highly recommend this place for anybody going to Mt Baker or wanting a getaway in a quaint town. read more

We have stayed at The Inn At Lynden several times now, and each experience has been excellent. From the moment you check in, the staff makes you feel welcome. The rooms are clean, quiet, and well furnished. It is in the center of downtown Lynden, adjacent to Avenue Bread (which is delicious). Two blocks away is an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station. We spent a day at Mount Baker and decided to stay at the Inn at Lynden overnight. This is a great hotel. Rooms are nicely and thoughtfully arranged and I noticed that they use environmentally friendly products for the bathroom (lotion, shampoo, soaps) and use locally produced coffee and tea. The staff is professional and courteous. It is also conveniently located vis a vis restaurants, shops etc. We definitely plan on coming back in the future! read more

This was a very cool inn in a small town five miles from Canada's border. The town is very small town America and is about 3 blocks long. This seems to be the only hotel in town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor was farmhouse cool. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel has an adjacent brewery, bookstore, and restaurant, which has good food. The egganues were cheap and tasty. When we left the sweet hotel receptionist gave us a wine opener as a souvenir. For $125 + a night the room is terrible. It looks onto an ally way and dumpsters......disgusting! Can't even look out the window. If you book a room at this hotel MAKE SURE you know what direction your room faces. The desk clerk was very rude when I told her I wasn't comfortable with this room and said, Oh Well we are booked! I told her I will never stay here again, and she said that's up to you. Great customer service. I travel to Lynden for work several times a month and usually stay near the Bellingham airport. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. Location: excellent. Restaurant/cafe connected, bar connected, BOOK STORE connected and pastry shop across the street. The restaurant was allergy friendly which is a huge deal to me Food: see above, plus free apples!!! I really needed that in the morning or afternoon when I was hungry Rooms; Clean, comfortable, quiet, I can't say enough how this room was just right for us. Gym: great place located down the street, even included a pool! This is a must for me, so I was very happy. transportation: They have bikes you can use! When I didn't have access to a car, I used the bike and could get anywhere I needed Staff: Saving the best for last. I can't say enough about my favorite person whose name I can't remember. She was always cheerful, and helped me so much. Short hair, always smiling, was there for my check in on the night I came in (Monday night, October 24). I was going through a very difficult life event and they bent over backwards faxing and copying things for me. They helped me through it all. Also, I extended my stay, but didn't know I had to get a new key. I was super tired and just sat in front of my door and called them. The maintenance person walked by and asked me what was up and I explained and they were so quick and helpful and I got in my room to take a nap. This is one of the best hotels I stayed in customer service. I was impressed my first time in January, and, thus returned for this unexpected stay in October. I will be returning when I have to come up there again. Thank you for everything. I really appreciate you and you have to give the cheerful women a raise!!! read more

We had a wonderful breakfast at the place next door that you can get to through the lobby and my husband enjoyed the brewery which is also attached to the lobby. My family arranged a get together in Lynden and recommended the Inn for lodging. It was an excellent recommendation!! The rooms are comfortable, well appointed, and have great beds and linens. Each room has a frig and coffee pot, the wi-fi quality is outstanding, and they gladly provide bottled water for guests. Avenue Bread is located in the same building and accessible from the Inn lobby making it the most convenient place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack. The staff at the Inn is very helpful and attentive to guest requests. Although I didn't use one, the Inn has bicycles for guests to use to see the town and surrounding area which is truly lovely. read more

We've just completed a five night stay at the Inn at Lynden and this is by far the nicest property in Lynden. Great location in the heart of historic downtown. Quiet, clean, friendly and stylish. Don't miss Avenue Bread accessible from the hotel lobby. We didn't have dinner there but had breakfast and lunch a couple times and all the food was great. There is also, accessible from the hotel lobby, a pub with outdoor patio but we didn't have the opportunity to visit. Lynden is a small town so nightlife isn't big there and businesses close fairly early so plan accordingly. We will definitely stay at the Inn again! read more

A great little upscale find in the center of town. Just entering the front door to the lobby and you realize this is a classy hotel. Walkable to restaurants and shops and only a couple of miles to the Canada border crossing. Very friendly staff (Hailyn, Terri, Jeri and Thomas) and upon check-in, Haylyn, escorted us to our room which was very clean and well decorated. We selected a view room which is over Front Street and has a view of the Baker Mountain range. The down side of these rooms is a little traffic noise at times, but not too much during sleep hours. Avenue Bread is accessible from the hotel lobby and has an excellent menu, open for breakfast and lunch. Bicycles to borrow available in the lobby. No fitness center on site but access to to local gyms is provided. No pool! I had a very pleasant chat with one of the owners, Terri, who stressed that if we needed anything to just ask. From a microwave to booking a massage two doors down, they will get it done. We stayed 5 nights while here to visit family. We used to stay in Bellingham and drive up everyday but this will be our new go-to location. I cant really think of a negative to add. read more

They have Bee Kind products for soaps and lotion, not too earthy or feminine. Bedding is so soft, and the softest down alternative pillows imaginable. I have never been to a hotel that I enjoyed more. Hospitality is top notch, with personalized envelopes upon check in full of coupons and a very knowledgeable front desk attendant. Parking is right out front, Village books is right out of the lobby (we purchased a new book with our coupon), and delicious Avenue Bread off the lobby as well. Rooms are calm with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We stayed last year, and this year for our anniversary. Staying at The Inn will become a very loved tradition. This is a wonderful place for a special celebration, or a weekend getaway. The style of the inn is a great combination of old and new, luxurious and comfortable! The rooms are lovely, with lots of thoughtful details. All the staff are warm, friendly and willing to help with whatever you need.
