They continued to check in with me to make sure we were comfortable with the process and helped me add a fourth provider when the time came. Communication skills: I didn't think I needed to practice my communication skills, but boy was I wrong. Irfan worked with me to break down how I communicate and exactly what I needed to work on. He taught me how to sound like a senior software engineer that I was and appear more authoritative. 2. Confidence: I gained a lot more confidence in myself and my skills through the personalized feedback and pep talks. After the first week itself I would talk much more confidently about my skills and experiences, making me stand out in the interviews. 3. Technical: The technical curriculum covers data structures, algorithms, OOD (taught by a senior engineer from LinkedIn) and systems design, and the problems are highly curated that you'll most likely come across them or some variation in your interviews. I learned how to recognize patterns and form the correct problem solving approach. Also got much more confident in communicating my thought process, especially on the whiteboard. 4. Mock Interviews: There were plenty of mock interviews with behavioral and whiteboarding feedback. I had a better offer three weeks into the program, so it definitely worked for me. Staff interface could do with some Web 2.0 eye-candy to make it more appealing Seemed complex to configure until I went through the video tutorials, but this may be inevitable given its flexibility. Summary: Great software for a sophisticated operation or if you have special needs that the cookie-cutter products cannot handle, but probably overkill for a small company. It needs a server with a lot of RAM, I remember when entire ERP systems were written to run in under 2G.

We used EnterpriseWizard for the help desk at my old company (I worked as part of the IT support team), but I took a better paying job recently at a bigger company that uses Remedy instead. Wow. Huge difference, I didn't really appreciate how good EW was until I had to slog through this one. Short version, they do support very well. Long version, you can map out the entire process for support, and then just enter it into your database and once a ticket starts it can send receipt notifications, automatically assign the ticket to a staff member, handle back and forth communications until its approved, and then sort the ticket into a storage location. You can notify anyone, including staff and customers, and it has these handy links you can put into automatic emails that link straight to the ticket. I really like the fact that you can customize the end user interface very easily. We can still do it with Remedy, but it's incredibly difficult and we essentially need a huge team and tons of time to do what we handled easily with only a few people at my old company with EW. The new system is a lot clunkier and relies a lot more on repeating the same few manual actions, which is dull, rote, a waste of skilled staff time, and leaves opening for problems. Also, I agree with the other reviewer about the search speed, it's impressive considering how many records I was searching through at any given time. The real con I can think of is that you need some html skill to customize the EUI, but for me it wasn't really a problem since one of my coworkers knew html. Also, there are other functions but I can only really vouch for a lot of experience with the support features. Overall though, really good. Systems like this are the kind you really appreciate once you have to use a worse one.
