I visited the Dominican Hospital ER on 8/26/26 experiencing throat closing, lip swelling, facial…read moreswelling, and a spreading rash that began at a visible bite wound on my finger. I have a known bee allergy and a history of severe reactions to spider bites requiring urgent care as a child which was brought up to Dr.Seatherton who insisted it was unrelated to my visit. Dr. Seatherton dismissed my allergy history entirely, told me my bite wound was unrelated to my systemic reaction, and diagnosed me with poison oak dermatitis despite no known poison oak exposure. My discharge paperwork listed 'itching sensation of throat' -- not the throat closing and difficulty swallowing I actually reported. Nurses confirmed my lips and face were visibly swollen. I was sent home without an EpiPen, without oral steroids, and without an allergist referral -- despite presenting with classic anaphylaxis symptoms. I was given an acid reflux pill for my throat closing. The following morning my reaction had spread to my face and chest. I am now pursuing follow up care to address what was missed. Patients with known allergies deserve to have their history taken seriously. I hope this feedback helps improve care for future patients in similar situations.

Tiffanae killed my energy within a month. she gaslight and denied her prescription of oats, squash, & sunflower oil, sorry Tiff, forgot about those hemp seeds *eye roll*. Being naive and wanting to be the best vegan alive, I kept paying for her well meaning but deeply misguided health advice. 6 months later and thousands of dollars in debt with my parents, I had not only let her lie to me (again, probably well meaning but sorely mis-informed woman) I had gained almost 30lbs, bloating non stop AND have never broken out that bad in my life. In addition she advised coconut oil for sunscreen, a cool idea but not when my brand new acne was burned into my skin as scars that could've been prevented with a little mineral rich safe sunscreen. None the less the worst thing about her "practice" was the immediate need for her to relate to my problems by taking the conversation over about her life, i.e. well "my mom was worse you know that she blah blah blah", seeking support and a therapist in me as a client was unprofessional and downright a power trip. I assume she was unconscious of this behavior as i am a good listener and an empath HOWEVER she would then say everything about my health was my fault and if i was more zen i would just be happy anywhere in life, hypocrisy at its finest. I have a near photographic and more importantly sound-a-graphic memory so i will try to keep this short but if I could play a reel for anyone currently a client or about to be i would! I'll wrap it up with the fact she said she snuck her son's meat because her body loves it but denies herself and shames :( the antithesis of trusting one's intuition & body by shaming with fear! There's a million more stories and gaslights to share if anyone has experienced the same with her, you are not alone! Well intentioned or not, she is being an abuser of power taking people desperate to find answers to their ailments and teaching them to trust HER voice over their own, you always win listening to yourself, please do not let anyone ever tell you what's best for you. When in doubt, eat how your ancestors ate, eat of the land, and eat to fuel your cells with nourishment, not grains and air. She also denied my gluten allergy that I in fact do have ;) oh PS she joked about ditching Ayurveda school many times in relation to relate to me a college student missing an unnecessary lecture- you don't wanna be hearing advice from someone who ditched their own healing school! I have seen many massage therapists over 20 years with different styles, Tiffanae ranks at the bottom. My suggestion is to avoid this unprofessional masseuse who cuts corners; expects you to have cash change for her other clients; tries to cross-sell you and screams during your massage at other clients out into the garden. ***Pre Massage*** It didn't start so well. I had barely arrived and I also thought it was very odd barely having introductions and she wants to know if I have change for her other client!! She wanted to know how I was paying. (was she really thinking I wasn't going to pay?) Then I added that I need change since I brought cash or I could write a check. Tiffanae reply "well most of my clients just tack on their extra cash to their next massage" and my calm direct reply to her was 1/ I have cash but I can write a check 2/ I have never had a massage from you 3/ So, I don't know if I will be back She gave me this look like she was miffed. Really?! How presumptuous of you Tiffanae. Tiffanae also tried to hook me up with Ayurveda before the massage even started. Of course Ayurveda is a commitment so she was after repeat clients. And Tiffanae made sure to insult acupuncture in favor of Ayurveda "because acupuncture did nothing for me" (interestingly she said she claimed she studied and practiced acupuncture previously, but she has no credentials) ***During Massage:*** Tiffanae did some energy work before the massage. I could feel it and asked her about it later but she wouldn't elaborate. That kind of behavior is unsettling to me. Don't run energy on me without you letting me know beforehand what you do. 20 minutes into massage and I am trying to relax and Tiffanae screams out in the garden to a client "I have an idea...!!!!!" Not my impression of a good relaxing massage. I have had lots of massages over the years and this rates at the very bottom of rudeness unprofessionalism poor technique and complete lack of her customers well-being Her technique working the feet was good and she did have strength but she cut lots of corners. She did energy work again later in the massage. Again, I asked her what it was. It was as though she didn't want you to know. The energy is not bad, it is that Tiffanae's lack of professionalism means she needs to communicate beforehand what she will be doing. She also worked hard on my back with a swooping motion that made it feel like she was in a hurry. She used this same full sweeping motion end-to-end straight up to my head to my lower back at the same pressure. The neck is not the same as the back. It's a completely different technique and yet she blows through it...obviously she couldn't be bothered with attention to this level of detail. Within a week, I had to have another massage with my regular GoTo masseuse (who I should have gone to) to fix my neck that was never bothering me until Tiffanae messed with it. Tiffanae claims her massage style is unique because she incorporates several kinds...well I have masseuse who know more techniques than her and I have never had such an inferior massage. ***Massage Location*** Tiffanae massages are in her home. The massage room was had billowy curtains into the garden. This would have been nice if she wasn't screaming out into the backyard. She had a bathroom near the massage room. All looked clean. Her garden "waiting area" in her backyard was cute in the summer but not very ideal when it's cold. It was rather light in the room, so if you like darker rooms this may not be ideal. For someone who does not have experience in getting massages Tiffanae may get better rankings. However I have had many massage work with many techniques and a Tiffanae Dawn is not one I would recommend to my friends. Santa Cruz and the greater Bay Area has so many talented healers please consider to skip her and find one that has genuine talent and one who takes the TIME to heal your body. And heals you without trying to cross-sell you into another program you never requested.
