I would 1000% recommend doing one-on-one training sessions--it's the best money I've ever spent on myself. Thanks to our workouts, I had an incredibly easy delivery and post-partum recovery. Tal radiates positive energy! She kept me smiling, fit, motivated, and--most importantly--SAFE throughout my pregnancy. Her workouts were not only fun but also incorporate many moves that can actually be used during labor. She was always in-tune to my needs and would adapt her routines--even mid-workout--to make sure I was safe and pain-free. I also loved that she emphasized important foundations (e.g. proper breathing technique, connecting breath to core and pelvic floor, safe ways to get in/out of bed, ways to avoid diastasis recti, etc). I continue to use those skills daily. Not only is Tal a mama herself, she has years of experience as a specialized prenatal/post-partum personal trainer. She even stays up-to-date with ACOG recommendations and takes refresher maternal health courses. As a physician, I was impressed with the depth of her knowledge. If you train with her, you get access to her Strong Mama Fitness online for free--another incredible resource. Although she is no longer local in the Bay Area, she is available for 1-on-1 virtual training via Zoom. Our virtual sessions were super convenient, all without sacrificing quality. I can't recommend Tal enough!

There are various exercises every week that cater to different levels of fitness or how one feels for the day. This is very helpful as I don't have to worry about whether a particular exercise is safe for a certain stage of pregnancy. Highly recommend Strong Mama Fitness!

I had read too many articles about rigid doctors who pushed interventions. After talking to my husband, we made the decision to attempt a home birth. We interviewed Marea and instantly I knew that she was the one! I honestly have no idea how I would have survived pregnancy and birth without Marea's guidance. Her prenatal care was amazing and she really helped put me at ease for the whole pushing a human out of my nether regions thing. She is very kind, really listens to what you're saying, and genuinely cares for her patients! I even texted her mundane questions and she always responded with a helpful answer! I didn't feel like just another statistic like I do at "regular" clinics/hospitals. When spawn decided it wanted to vacate my uterus she was with me each step of the way. She gave me a call when labor started to see how I was doing and came over once labor progressed. Eventually spawn made her way into the real world and Marea took care of me and spawn beautifully! The postpartum visits were super helpful and I really appreciated having someone help me through the recovery phase (which was way harder than I thought). My last postpartum visit was today and although I was happy that I am healing well I was quite sad to say goodbye to Marea! If my husband and I decide to further procreate, Marea will be the first person I call!

He's not the problem. And if one doctor ruins your life, you might need a counselor. I fire crappy doctors (like horrid Ali Khademi). Nobody has that power over me! Or YOU. I cannot say enough good about my rockstar gynecologist. I trust him with my life--and I have to. I first saw Dr. Salvay in September, 2015, following an abnormal Pap smear. I have had many doctors in the intervening months, and Dr. Salvay is at the head of my personal pantheon. He is professional, warm, and cares intensely about the health and well-being of his patients. Or maybe he's just an insufferable jerk who doesn't care about anyone. (Or maybe you can't get your little brain around the idea that a man survives in this field, when no other men remain in it in the entire county, and maybe you shouldn't be writing Yelp reviews--your review saying this man, with thirty-plus years of experience delivering babies and helping women with their lady parts, has no "evidence based" [sic] or "practical birth skills" might be a little light in the "verifiable claim" department.) For me, he held my hand through a very dark patch, and it's not over yet. Though it clearly pains him to be the bearer of less-than-ideal news, I trust this man to help me and to guide me to the right people to care for me further. Moreover, Dr. Salvay is a doctor who LISTENS, and I will say that a doctor who listens, and listens well, is a treasure. So are the women on his staff. I am grateful with every cell of my being for Dr. Salvay, and Lara, Danielle, and everyone else at PAMF. I can't believe what some women have written here (whatevah), but then I'm just glad that I am having a blessed experience with such a fantastic caregiver. Thank you, Dr. Salvay, for your care, your prayers, and your compassion. THANK YOU. P.S. I cannot stop laughing at the woman thinking Dr. Salvay was complimenting her on her vajayjay. RIGHT. Honey, did you bedazzle it with Svoboda crystals? (It's more likely that anyone who says you have a beautiful vagina means it can give birth properly or perform Kegels.) But thanks for the laugh. HILARIOUS! Should I get mine bedazzled before a procedure? Then I can say, "Don't hate my vagina because it's beautiful." BWAH!!!

I'm 34 and I wanted to put trying on hold for a year to get out of debt and get our finances in order. I wanted to get some further testing done to make sure I had the time to do that. I wanted someone with the knowledge and experience the primary care doctors couldn't help me with and I didn't want to go to a traditional fertility place because I didn't want to feel forced into IVF/ viewed as a dollar. I live nearly an hour away and made the drive to Dr. Dana a couple of months ago. I cannot say enough good things about her and all the staff. Most doctors make me feel difficult or too much. I have ADHD to top it off so having a conversation with me is hard already because I'm all over the place. Dr. Dana is the warmest, kindest professional I've ever seen. She was positive, empathetic, took the time to listen to me and really explain things in a way I understood. They worked with me and let me do an ultrasound that same visit so it would be less time missed from work and she's very flexible meeting with me virtually in between. I had so many answers from that first visit. She uncovered items other doctors had missed from my blood work. She ran labs that should have been ran before. She made many suggestions that I said no to, and she was so kind about that and didn't try to push me. I eventually listened and she ordered my husbands sperm analysis as well as I've since done an HSG to make sure my tubes are open. I didn't get the peace of mind I wanted, turns out I don't have time to wait and we have some severe male factor to work with, but I wouldn't have wanted to find this information from anyone else. She's also treating my thyroid with medication and gave supplement suggestions based on my labs. My journey to parenthood is not looking like I thought it would but I'm so thankful to be working with her and her staff during this. I just had to share in case anyone else is on the fence about where to go. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you for making me feel like a person and not a number. If it wasn't for the decision to go to Nurture, I pry would have missed out on my ability to be a biological mom which I'm hopeful will be soon.
