I would give zero if I could. they administer our HSA and HRA. every time we call for assistance we get a different answer. we have a high deductible, our HR admin says an individual pays $3400, then the HRA kicks in. We have a family of 5, all 5 are on the account. when we submit to the deductible tracker, they deny it, then change the name to my husband and approve it. when we call, they tell us the kids aren't on the plan, but they are. now they are denying everything we submit. when we call they tell us we need to hit the $6800 threshold, when we tell them it's not what we were told and not what our plan documents say, they put us on hold for 15-20 minutes then hang up on us. impossible to get them back on the phone and you will never get the same person twice. we made a change to our phone number. it locked us out of our account for 5 full business days. they say that is their policy. even though we confirmed the changed via email. we couldn't add EOBs or anything to the account during that time. nothing. companies use this as service to save money-it saves nothing. we are paying thousands out in health care and cannot get reimbursed because this company isn't fulfilling their promise. we are spending hours and still nothing is resolved. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. They've moved my funds to an inaccessible account with an associated fee, presumably to eat the balance. When I tell them I am unable to access the account, they insist I have access to the account rather than assisting me to gain access to the account. I never consented to my funds being moved, or to the associated fee. I am going to have to sue them to get access to my funds. read more

Utter trash. What you read in the reviews is accurate. If a potential employer tells you that Clarity Benefits Solutions is their choice for HSA or FSA, decline the offer. When they ask why, have them read these reviews. They "cancelled" my HSA 2024 account and set me up with a 2025 one. No cards. No notice. Oh, and when they did so, they deleted all my 2024 transactions...including the records of the ones I am still fighting to get paid in May of 2025. And let's be REAL CLEAR. This is an HSA. It's MY money, deposited with them. The Clarity website seems to have been designed SPECIFICALLY not to function. The chat bot is useless and calling for assistance means you get lost in a maze of call redirects. IF you get in a queue to have a call answered, it'll take hours....that is unless the system merely dumps the call. I asked my HR department to intercede...to have SOMEONE who could address an issue call me at a specified time (I cannot address these matters where I work so I need to be home to do so.) No call. No surprise. My next conversation will be with the decision makers at my employer to ask why we would put our employees through this horse***t and call it a "benefit" read more

Deceptive from the start. After reading fine print, I found that I was only allowed to roll over 600 of 2400 dollars, and that ONLY if I signed up again for next year. Also, said rollover had to be used up by March. Difficult getting FSA items covered unless you use the FSA store which I bought a health watch from that doesn't work and most items are over priced. I have never encountered such incompetence. I tried to elect cobra benefits back in November for dental coverage. It was impossible to navigate the portal and I had to spent two hours on the phone with one of their representatives to sort it. When I finally finished, they told me it would take 10 business days for their system to update. At no point did they say I had to pay immediately - the system told me I had until January 8th to do so. O course my claim is denied and I've called them back and what do they say? I still need to pay, there is a 25 dollar processing fee (insane) and once I do, it will take them 7-10 business days to let the dental insurance know that I have selected an extension of cobra. Absolutely horrific customer service. This people do not care one zip about any of their benefit holders and do not have an ounce of decorum on the phone to assist anyone. read more

I am at a point where I am about to cry. I have paid for 4 months of Cobra, and I am soon supposed to pay for the 5th, and I still have NO COVERAGE from my insurance carrier. The carrier said they never received anything from Clarity. When I try to contact Clarity, the chat feature does not work, as someone else pointed out in their review. Getting someone on the phone is nearly impossible, and when you do, it is useless, with no help besides "we will get back to you," but they do not. I have overdue medical bills, I am getting harassed to pay those, and the insurance I have been paying for does not exist!! I don't know how else to escalate this besides BBB. read more

I don't think there is a live person that works there. Chat online times out, tells you to open a claim, then gives a blank claim #. Call in and get put on endless hold until the call drops. I'm writing this review for Sandra Zarate because, during the darkest moment of our lives, she was the only one who fought for us. In the final months of my pregnancy, our COBRA Clarity benefits portal gave us endless issues, leaving us without access to our insurance. After dealing with unhelpful representatives, we reached out to Sandra, and she quickly resolved everything. A week or two later, we tragically lost our son, Kai, at 36 weeks with no known cause. Thanks to Sandra's help, we were able to have our final appointment, which gave us peace, knowing there was nothing we could have done. She also ensured our hospital stay and delivery were fully covered. In our grief, we missed our COBRA payments and lost coverage again. With little hope, we contacted Sandra, and once more, she went above and beyond to restore our insurance when we needed it most. We don't know how we would have made it through without Sandra's care and dedication. Thank you, Sandra--you are truly incredible. Ridiculous rules and procedures. a legitimate charge from a visit to a reputable and certified ophthalmology group was questioned. I uploaded a 2 page description of the services rendered. denied because it was not a receipt showing the amount of the charge. They already had that. I use at a pharmacy and never send a receipt and it is all good. but a bigger expense gets questioned. It is IRS rules they claim, nothing they can do. Still waiting for the supervisor to call me. Since March of 2024 I have Transit benefit card with Clarity Benefit Solutions. In 4 months I went thru 3 different cards. Each of them stopped working after 1 or 2 uses. When I use the card at MTA machine, I got the message "sorry we are unable to process your request" If I select continue and use my private master card the transaction will be completed. That tells me there is no problem with the MTA terminal, but there is the problem with the card. I called customer service and after long waiting time I was told there is nothing wrong with my card, because they do not see any messages on their side. Another card become useless with no help from the customer service. UPDATE: Customer service called me back, suggesting that I put the card the wrong way. Since they can not solve the problem (they are saying there is no problem at their end) they try to blame on user error. UPDATE 2: After few conversations with Customer service, I connected the card to touch less payment service (Samsung wallet) and transaction went thru. Physical card still doesn't work. CARD RATING 1 STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE- 4 STARS (problem not solved) UPDATE 3: After 3 day and 4 transactions $2.90 each card stopped working. Multiple attempts with touch less payments, with google wallet and Samsung wallet with no luck. (see attached pictures) At this point card is useless. Just a piece of plastic. On top of that, I can not submit my transit expenses to be reimbursed because APP and website portal doesn't let me upload receipts. UPDATE 4: New Cards arrived. Guess what, first use DENIED (see picture) My transit benefit card is Ineligible to purchase metro card to use subway!! Back on the phone with representative. Her suggestion, go to different machine, or go to clerk or use in touchless wallet. They can not make a card to work, and they give me run around trying to blame everything else but the Clarity card. read more

I got canceled without warning and then they did an extension for the payment period, i paid and then they still canceled so they basically stole from me. Talked to someone about my account and a week later called back and the one guy told me they couldn't even find my account even though i had all my records. The phone app never works - tried clearing cache, uninstalled/reinstalled, keeps quitting. The website works sometimes, but even when it does its glacial. They require receipts/documentation for items that are CLEARLY legitimate medical expenses, but then when trying to upload the documents, it doesn't work on their end! This is MY money and the card doesn't even go through on things that are not FSA approved, so why the required additional hassle? The whole thing is terrible and their customer service is even worse. If you have the option just skip it altogether - it's probably why I even have the high BP! Ha! read more

Customer Service is vague and unhelpful by email. Does not allow you to respond on the email chain only create a new email request which you have to go through their website to redo. so even if you have a question because they don't give specific responses you need to restart each time. Phone service is mildly more helpful but they don't seem to know much more then what you yourself can see on your patient portal screen read more

O Stars. I have claims not paid since 2024. I have called at least 10 times. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, they say that they don't have any supervisors. They just don't pay their claims or care about their customers. Read all about them in Google reviews also. Worst company to deal with. Customer service is nonexistant where they go about in circles without any solutions. A "manager call" and escalation takes days without any response and no professional curtesy. They delayed process of signing up for COBRA for more than10 days, in turn delaying my healthcare. Signing up for cobra in 2024 should be instantaneous but this company processes things like they are in the 1980's. The government processes things faster than they do. Complete failure! Paid an extra $20 so they could take my money electronically and then could not get the ball past the goal line. It was nothing but a blame game. Typical for today's times. Pathetic. Infuriating. The incompetence was breath taking. I now have to leave for a trip out of the country with none of my medications. This was a terrible experience. Horrible website and a score of -1000 in terms of navigation. They are very bad at sending checks to you and the list is so long that I would be a 100 years old if I had to list all the issues. Customer service is awful. Attempted to get through on 3 separate occasions. On the third try, after holding for 45 minutes, was informed that in order to be reimbursed for therapy copays, I would need a letter from my Doctor stating that this is "medically necessary". Why? So intrusive. read more

Multiple attempts to submit receipts for a Telehealth copay using my Clarity Benefits card has been met with zero help or explanation from Clarity as to why they could not process this time (but processed the previous four). Emails are sent demanding remittance, filled with misspelled words, incorrect information and general not professional in appearance. Save your FSA / HSA funds to an alternative. Clarity Benefit Solutions customer service is exceptional! I have been using the same pharmacy for over 30 years. I was shocked when my FSA card was declined due to "not being accepted at this retailer". I reached out to Clarity and within a day they "fixed" it. Seems that the pharmacy had switched banks and that changed their credit card terminal. It was now not the correct type of POS system. Bill and Jacqueline overrode the system and made my pharmacy allowed to except my card. read more

Today I learned that I had been, in effect, donating a portion of my hard-earned paychecks to Clarity Benefit Solutions with no hope of ever seeing that money again. I signed up for Clarity's Parking Pre Tax benefits in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdowns, and after contributing hundreds of dollars toward benefits I couldn't use, I stopped making contributions and forgot about the account altogether. Fast-forward to the present and I no longer work for the employer that was using Clarity Benefit Solutions, but I was reminded of my account when I found my benefits card in my desk drawer. I logged into my account, saw I had an outstanding balance, and called Clarity to ask what I could do about it. Despite never being notified of this (by phone, text, email, regular mail, carrier pigeon, etc.,) I apparently forfeited my outstanding balance into Clarity's pockets when I left my job. The card isn't expired, and the balance is still in the account (I can log in and see it), but I can't use or access the funds. The rep on the phone made it clear Clarity wasn't interested in remedying the situation, either. Please learn from my costly mistake: If/when your employer offers benefits through Clarity Benefit Solutions, don't sign up. If you are an employer looking for employee benefits packages for your business, look elsewhere. No other benefits company I've ever dealt with has pulled a shady stunt like this. Our company has partnered with Clarity Benefit Solutions for several years to handle COBRA and Kelly was the first account representative I worked with. Kelly was fabulous and a true partner. When she was promoted, she trained her replacement, who was also fantastic, and he was with us for the last few years and recently left Clarity. Kelly is now training our upcoming account representative, which gives me confidence that we will again have another great vendor partner to work with. The excellence and thoughtful internal transition to ensure proper training on accounts is unfortunately rare nowadays, and I was so pleased to learn that Kelly would be part of this transition for our account. Never again using their Dependent care account or Flexible savings account. They will hold your money from you and not let you use it, nor reimburse you. They will give you a time limit to submit prior expense claims then reject any visits or receipts and not send you notifications of it. I paid for the benefit of them to put money on accounts for child care and medical expenses, but then they won't even let me use it... Idk how it's legal. read more

After having a hard time getting a hold of someone and no clear directions, I was very flustered, but we did find a wonderful friendly person who helped us, and within 24 hours, everything was fixed. I am in the process of contacting an attorney as its been several weeks for them to fix my problem. The people are nice on the phone but keep telling me that the case manager is looking into the problem. If you are thinking about using them, make sure to read ALL the reviews. Cobra is not supposed to be this difficult. They had zero ability to communicate with me after my former company switched to them (god only knows why), and when I tried to correct the coverage they gave me by default, it took me a month and half to find out they had changed it. And in that time I was terminated from the insurance I supposedly had. When I tried to go back and make sure I was paid up so I could get my insurance, it would cost me 50% more than my premium as a "convenience" fee for paying online. If you are trying to make a decision to use this company or not, there has got to be better out there for you. One star is too good for them! read more

Can not get them to stop billing me even though I called to inform them that I had a new employer and no longer needed COBRA. I had COBRA one other time about 12 years ago and had no such issues. I sincerely believe that they just keep sending bills despite how much documentation I give them in hopes that I will just keep remitting payment, even though none of the information they have on file for me is correct. read more

OUTSTANDING LEVELS OF INCOMPETENCE. Last year, I spent HOURS on the phone correcting a CLARITY billing error. Currently, the monthly rate listed on their website is the ANNUAL rate. The company is aware of the error but is not correcting it prior to the open enrollment deadline. This level of incompetence and awful customer service is unacceptable. UPDATE: The error was NOT corrected prior to the end of open enrollment. I was forced to elect coverage based on incorrect rates. Clarity updated my autopay amount after the amount was corrected by Clarity in February. The January amount was not deducted correctly due to Clarity's error and Clarity is charging a $20 "convenience fee" to pay the balance - WHAT A JOKE! I should charge Clarity an INCONVENIENCE fee. I would NOT recommend this company. read more
