I can't say enough good things in one review about this team at Clark County Tractor! I took my (new to me, 58 hour used Deere X580) to them due to a noise in the transmission. Of course, the warranty was expired (bought it used). After diagnosis, the transmission was found to be bad (extremely rare at any hour, let alone 58 hours). The Service Manager prepared me for the high cost of replacement but told me he would do everything he could to get Deere to warranty the issue. After a week or so, he called me with the good news that Deere agreed to warranty the transmission 100% saving me a ton of money!! Working with a small dealer like this was new to me and so worth it!! CCT, you guys have 100% of my business going forward (I also have a Deere tractor). I've never enjoyed going into this business. The general vibe is that they wish you weren't bothering them. I love my lawn equipment and wanted to love this business. I bought a weed whacker and aerator here. Both had problems. They fixed the weed whacker under warranty, and I had to weld a repair myself on aerator. I've bought two brand new John Deere tractors in the past 5 years and both times I went to Pape in Gresham. I was treated well and saved some money also. read more

We took my best friend here to get her a weed eater. The purpose was to cut down weeds and edge her lawn. She has an electric one, but was not up to the task. I remember going here years ago for a lawn mower. We walked in and was immediately greeted. The man helped us and answered our questions. He set up the equipment and instructed her how to use it. Bought my tractor there. X300. Has less than 140 hours and had an issue with the fuel. They only want to do repairs, not help you fix your own. The guy was rude when I asked questions about my issue even though I spent thousands there on my Deere. He was hopefully having a bad day but there is no excuse for such a rude attitude. I do love the tractor. I was able to diagnose and fix it myself for $18 after buying a new fuel pump from them for almost $40 that didn't fix it. I vacuum to operate the pump. Didn't seem out of pace to ask them what I should check before spending $120 plus whatever parts for them to tell me. Put an electric fuel pump on and it is working great. Need some bagger parts but you can bet that I would rather drive 50 miles to get them than to give any more business to this place. read more

This place is AMAZING. My salesman was extremely helpful when I came in to look at various lawn tractors. After talking with him a little bit he directed me to the X350 Lawn Tractor with a 48 inch deck. The larger deck with three blade would be effective in cutting and bagging the grass when I add the attachment. He guided me through the John Deere promo financing and within the hour my lawn tractor was ordered. When the lawn tractor arrived the salesman called me the same day and set a delivery date. Once delivered, I was given an onsite lesson by the delivery person and I've been cutting grass ever since with zero issues. Fall of 2019 my father purchased a brand new Honda commercial mower from these people. A few weeks ago he pulls it out of the garage and it won't start. He takes it to them and they warn that if they don't find a problem they will charge him even though the mower is under warranty. Today they called and said his mower is ready to pick up, said it started up no problems and charged him 80 dollars for a half hour of shop time and to sharpen the blade. On the bill they claim to have 'checked compression' in the half hour of shop time they charged my father. When we get there the mower won't start. They roll it back into the shop and pull the plug. It's fouled. Can anyone explain to me how they didn't notice the fouled plug while checking compression? Or do they expect me to believe that a good running mower would foul it's plug after THREE PULLS? When asked I was told that 'motors do funny things when cold.' Shop elsewhere, certainly get your repair work done elsewhere, and sad as I am to say it don't buy a Honda. Might as well by a Toro from Home Depot at this point. read more

I recently purchased my first-ever John Deere mower. My older Kubota was having problems. JD was very knowledgeable about the X380 and he made my decision easy. I spent nearly $8,000 for the mower and power catcher. They set up the mower and delivered it to me, a distance of about 5 miles. I have some regrets, however. Right off the bat a wheel on the deck broke. I took it in and they had no explanation why it broke. I bought a new one ($12) and installed it myself. JD should have told me that the mower uses way more gas than any mower I've every used. He also could have told me that you have to push a button each time you go in reverse and want the blades to keep turning. The height adjustment doesn't seem to make much difference. It is comfortable to ride on and is much wider at 54 inches than my old Kubota. So, it's a mixed bag review. read more

I was ready to go with it when someone suggested I check Clark County Tractor. I called for a quote. The unit was $400. cheaper. They delivered one to my home in three days' time. SUCH an easy and pleasant transaction. I just slipped a drive belt. I called them and they were at my house the same day to collect the tractor for repair...under warranty. I didn't have to lift a finger, finagle or fight with anyone. OMG! How refreshing. Great products. Great pricing. Professional sales staff and outstanding customer service. I'm sure that everyone agrees, Covid sucks! It has hit manufacturers hard, interrupted supply chains, and made getting most things challenging at best. Buying a John Deere tractor is no exception. But, despite the extremely limited supply of tractors out there this year, Sales Manager Jason Sekne was a star! He was able to get me the 2025r with a loader and backhoe as I requested; along with the implements and extras that I needed. Even though some items were backordered, he kept up on them and got everything to me before the summer was out. Not an easy task this year, but I really feel that Jason shined and even exceeded my expectations. When my Quik Knec and slip-clutch PTO shaft came in, they picked up my tractor and brush hog one day, installed everything and returned it the next day! Totally unexpected, but greatly appreciated. I LOVE my new JD tractor, and it is doing everything that I need it to do and more on my 5 acres. So far, every interaction with Jason and CCLT has been excellent. I highly recommend them. read more

I called the store at 4:45 and told them I was rushing to get there by 5 to buy a chain saw. I was told that I had 15 minutes so I had better hurry. I pulled in at 4:59 and the fires were locked. I asked the guy locking the gate if I could buy a chain saw. He said "well it is 5 o'clock on a Friday and the guys want to get home. I will ask if anyone is willing to help you". He went inside and within 30 seconds he came out and told me sorry they were closed. Small businesses wonder why they struggle. Lazy employees are the reason here. If I owned this store everyone there would be fired. They let a paying customer walk because they were lazy. The owner needs to realize that people coming into to buy are what keeps the doors open and these employees with jobs. I am driving to Amboy today to buy my chainsaw. I own 2 john Deere tractors and from now on all my purchases will be anywhere else. Update: the owners stepped up and made sure this will not happen again and I feel this problem is solved going forward. read more

I have bought 3 riding John Deere mowers from Clark County Lawn. I love John Deere because you can always get the parts. Until today, the parts desk has always been helpful and able to get advice for me on repairs. Not today, the same parts manager? who has worked there for at least 10 years all of a sudden forgot everything about 1. Asking questions to find the correct solution 2. helping the customer. His response to me was 'I am not a tech, bring it in.' To much to ask what part I am looking for, an 'O' ring that he couldn't ask another question on 'We don't stock everything'. It took me 2 minutes to call Chinook Sales in Longview, the parts guy told me how to fix the fuel gauge (very simple) and that they have the 'O' ring I need and that I could get it at Ace or any hardware store. Go to Chinook Sales for your John Deere, I will from now on. read more

I took my 2012 John Deere X360 in for maintenance and repairs. They looked into the repairs, looked into the remaining warranty, performed warranty and non-warranty repairs, where approved, and then they spent some time with me answering questions I had about machine operation and maintenance. I was pleased with their efforts, and my X360 is running great now. They only get four out of five stars because they have a three week wait for any work on your tractor. That is a bit frustrating, but at least they warn you ahead of time. Their prices also seems a tad high, but I could say the same for many other places. read more

This is a good rating about customer service...believe it or not! It looks like CCLT is looking to turn around. I have avoided CCLT after problems in years past. However, I decided to take a chance this last Saturday and went to CCLT with a Stihl weed eater problem. I meet Larry who explained the machine I had was too small for the blade and work I was doing. He found the right machine and guaranteed me that I would hug him next week after working with it. Ok, this is as close as to a hug he is going to get. The machine worked GREAT. I have cleared the black berries on most of the property. He even accepted a blade as a restock from another store. All and all a great experience. It looks like he was hired from another store to improve customer service. Give CCLT a chance and ask for Larry. read more

Very frustrated with the service, wish you could write a review with no stars. Took in my Stihl weedeater to get a replacement part. After being told it would take 3 days for the part and now I've waited 3 weeks! After multiple calls to the store and lots of stories about the part not being shipped I was told that it was no longer available. Made a call to Stark Street and they had 2 on the shelf. Drove over and they took the time to install. Will make the drive and spend money there. read more

Bought and L-30 Lawn Tractor from CCLT. At 40 hours it needed a new carburetor. When I called for a rebuild kit I was told none was made so I spent $256 bucks on a new one. After the fact I found out there is a universal rebuild kit for this carb for 25 bucks. To say the least I was NOT happy. At 80 hours the carb went out again and this time we used the kit and it has ran fine since. I will be purchasing our next lawn tractor elsewhere read more

Misdiagnosed my JD S-Series walk-behind, told me it needed a new governor plate, when all it needed was a new carb kit ($20), kept it for two weeks while apparently quite busy doing the wrong things, and still had the gall to charge me for the diagnosis! I suspect they just wanted to sell me a new mower. read more

I had them pick up my riding John Deere lawnmower for their "Winter Special" - $179.00 less 10% for getting it in early. My bill - $356.05 AFTER my 10% discount. All the extra work was done without a phone call - or without my o.k. When they delivered my mower, I questioned the excessive charges ($85.00 labor to work on a Briggs & Stratton engine?) Labor was 3.31 hours (198 minutes 36 seconds - figure that!). Included in my bill was 34 cents for grease. When I went into the house to copy this invoice, the driver drove my mower back on his truck and drove off. If you have a choice, choose another option for you lawn equipment. read more
