Once inside, you will have many choices of fresh, and well harvested, produce. Aside from produce, you'll also see many other items, like local honey, healthy chips, and pies...my favorite. I purchased a strawberry/rhubarb pie and it was VERY GOOD. The pies are kept in a standup cooler and are reasonably priced. The checkout process was quick, handled by friendly and efficient staff, and every item was wonderful. The garlic had roots on it, as it should, and they were huge bulbs. They were out of strawberries that day. She said the cold weather has caused them to lose alot of the strawberries in their field. Today is 6-2-26 and we have approximately 1 more week of strawberries in Season. I'm not sure why they had none, because we went to another farm just 15 minutes away (Von Thun) and they had strawberries coming out of their ears ! It's always a great experience at the Metuchen Farmers Market. I've been to many farmers markets in…read moreneighboring towns but Metchuen's the best one yet! There are consistent vendors that sell every week and some that are new who sell every other week or every two weeks. This keeps things exciting and you can look forward to seeing new foods. This past week I was lucky to try Kikitos Jibaritos, a Puerto Rican sandwich vendor, and it's a must try if you spot them at the market! Some vendors accept both cash and card payments and a few only take cash. I recommend bringing both! Also, bring your own bags! There were a few vendors that didn't offer bags. Another tip: bring water or something to drink. I believe there was only one or two vendors that sold drinks. Bathrooms are also available for vendors and not to the public. Parking is also very hard to find so come early! The market is from 9am to 2pm.

The raspberry cream puff was off the charts amazing. So good that I took a picture of it after slicing to post here.
