Nice farm, very friendly people. We've been coming here for…read moremany years, ever since we decided to get a fresh cut tree, but they have changed things over the years. Few years back, we figured we'd try and pretag a tree after Thanksgiving to go back and cut later in December, well it was the first year they stopped holding the tree for you where they would record the location by way of a grid system (like the game Battleship). So we tagged a tree and when we went back it was gone ( so much for the honor system). This year it appears that it's pay one price, any tree 5'-20' tall is $99. They used to charge by height, don't remember rate per foot? Didn't ask why the change. It would be nice to get a 20' tree for the price of a 5' foot, but cutting a hole in the ceiling would be out of the question. See what's doing next year?

Nice staff. We need to support our farmers. The lady said the snap peas and asparagus available…read morewere from their farm. She did not know where any of the other produce came from. The garlic had roots on it, as it should, and they were huge bulbs. They were out of strawberries that day. She said the cold weather has caused them to lose alot of the strawberries in their field. Today is 6-2-26 and we have approximately 1 more week of strawberries in Season. I'm not sure why they had none, because we went to another farm just 15 minutes away (Von Thun) and they had strawberries coming out of their ears ! They did have some pretty flowers they were selling.

Quick summary: I went to get some eggs and was acosted by the farm owner…read more I was driving down S. Middlebush when I saw the sign for Suydam Farms 2 miles up Skillmans Ln. Having spent the morning looking for farm fresh eggs, I followed the sign to their front gate. Met with a "hay and straw" sign, a "yes, we're open!" sign, and a "private property" sign, i checked the farm out on google. Seeing reviews about the kind owners and good eggs, I turned in. The market was closed unfortunately, so I made my way out the other exit of the farm. As I went down the exit road, an SUV pulled up behind me, flashing his brights and honking his horn. I stopped at the turnoff to the main road, and Ryck Suydam (based on their facebook profile) got out of the car, came up to my window and asked, "What the hell were you doing on my farm?" I tried to explain politely that I was looking for farm eggs but he interrupted me, asking, "Did you see the sign?" I asked if he meant the "Yes, were open!" sign, and he clarified he meant the hay and straw sign. He said, "That sign said nothin about no eggs." I tried to apologize but was cut off with a final "Stay off of my farm" as he got back in his car. I was on the phone at the time, and made sure these quotes were exact with the person I was talking to. If this business doesn't want drive-in customers, I would suggest taking down the signs directing them to your front door and not literally chasing them off in a car. One of the worst interactions I've had the displeasure of experiencing in a while.

What a great find. I have been seeing their sign posted on route 27 for many years. I am just sad…read moreit took me this long to stop by. I went for the farm eggs and left $30 later with fresh strawberries, tomatoes, whole milk and jam. Beautiful plants and hanging baskets. The farm is a working farm and they invited out family to feed the baby goats and chickens. There are some food options like beef from their cows on site and chicken from Griggstown. Beautiful shop which will be open till Christmas. A wonderful stop for a family.
