The staff was very friendly and helpful guiding me in finding certain items. The staff is hard working and continuously replenished the fresh produce. It was easy to find what I needed and they do take credit cards which makes it convenient. This is my new favorite place to shop for produce . They are located in a strip mall across from Texas Weiner, there's plenty of free parking. I heard this place can get really busy so I suggest coming at off times like during the week or at night. Having spent the morning looking for farm fresh eggs, I followed the sign to their front gate. Met with a "hay and straw" sign, a "yes, we're open!" sign, and a "private property" sign, i checked the farm out on google. Seeing reviews about the kind owners and good eggs, I turned in. The market was closed unfortunately, so I made my way out the other exit of the farm. As I went down the exit road, an SUV pulled up behind me, flashing his brights and honking his horn. I stopped at the turnoff to the main road, and Ryck Suydam (based on their facebook profile) got out of the car, came up to my window and asked, "What the hell were you doing on my farm?" I tried to explain politely that I was looking for farm eggs but he interrupted me, asking, "Did you see the sign?" I asked if he meant the "Yes, were open!" sign, and he clarified he meant the hay and straw sign. He said, "That sign said nothin about no eggs." I tried to apologize but was cut off with a final "Stay off of my farm" as he got back in his car. I was on the phone at the time, and made sure these quotes were exact with the person I was talking to. If this business doesn't want drive-in customers, I would suggest taking down the signs directing them to your front door and not literally chasing them off in a car. One of the worst interactions I've had the displeasure of experiencing in a while.

The farm is a working farm and they invited out family to feed the baby goats and chickens. There are some food options like beef from their cows on site and chicken from Griggstown. Beautiful shop which will be open till Christmas. A wonderful stop for a family.

You can definitely tell it is in half of a former supermarket (the other half taken up by the dollar store next door).

When I first walked in the store, I was a little put off because I thought it was just a fruit…read moremarket. To my pleasant surprise, there was a lot of different things that you could buy there, and it saved me from going to the supermarket. Some things are overpriced such as minced garlic from Goya. They wanted almost 7 dollars for it, but the vegetables were priced low and they looked good even though there wasn't a huge selection like but that was just because my expectation was that it was just a fruit vegetable market. Apparently this store has changed hands since the last time I went there. I was excited at the prospect of being able to go here and shop locally for small business owners and with it being less than a half a mile away from my mom's house my goal was to go there and get lettuce, but I wind up getting a number of things That I needed from the supermarket and so when I left there, I felt satisfied. When I got home, there was a whole different story. I bought red leaf lettuce, which was rotten to the core on the inside. I had to throw it out. I also bought Romain lettuce, which was mostly the darker green leaves and less of the crisp part of the lettuce, which disappointed me a little, but I figured I could still make do I washed and cut up the lettuce and I used the pre-cut onions, celery, and carrots that I bought also from this fruit market. And I made my salad. When I was eating it, I didn't really notice anything except that the leaves were not really what I like. I don't love all Bert green leaves found at the top. But whatever. I ate it. An hour later and for five hours more, I was sick as a dog. I had to take two different stomach medicines, and Tums because something in that salad did not agree with me and then I start freaking out because the first one that I threw away was rotten so it made me feel like this lettuce wasn't that fresh or maybe it was the pre-chopped onion, celery or carrots. All I know is that I almost called out of work today. Luckily, I felt better when I got up, even though I have still have a little bit of a stomachache I called them this morning and told them that the red leaf lettuce is rotten and they need to take it off the shelves and I told the lady that I was really sick last night. She was so nonchalant about it and said OK and we hung up. I don't love that. She should've said come and get a different head of lettuce, but she didn't offer anything. And therefore, I waited till I got home from work to write this review. Unfortunately, I will not be going back here again. I usually go to Rahway Farmers Market and I don't think I've ever had this issue. I didn't take a picture of it, but I should have. Because when I tell you that the red leaf lettuce head was slimy and rotten on the inside to the point that it should've never been put on the shelf.

Music from live bands or DJs set the tone as you shop at the dozen or so tents. Buy Jersey fresh, produce including my favorites, sweet white corn and hydroponically grown lettuce. Get super high quality locally produced and exotic meat. If your not about making your own food from scratch, visit the Polish or Italian specialty tents where you can buy fully prepared meals that just need to be cooked. For instant gratification, get food from the trucks including empanadas. There is the most delicious pickles and olives, fresh baked goods, artisan chocolates and more.
