My brother-in-law and nephew do MIG welding in the garage repairing all the aluminum screens that protect the loads during tie downs. The week of the subzero wind chills is what we all worked on since the number of loads was way down due to the harsh temperatures. So eventually we ran out of wire for the welder. It seemed no one in town had any in stock after calling around so we went with a known business to us, Airgas, to order some more welding wire. We placed our order and were told it would take four days for them to receive it into their store. Our only pet peeve is that we had to call to see if it came in and there was only one person there that could tell us that information and that person was had gone to lunch early on the day it was supposed to come in. The wire ended up coming in the following day. I ended up picking it up two days later when I was out running other errands since we didn't need it that badly. We did find one roll at a big box store but we still needed the five rolls we ordered from Airgas. If you go here, don't make the mistake I did. The first building is not the one you want. Keep driving around to the back of the property where a separate building faces I-465. That is the showroom and where you can buy items in their store or pick up orders.

Customers need to follow the signage to the main office, which is furthest from Elmwood St. To fill a regular 20 gallon propane tank anywhere else would have cost way more than the $21 it cost us at Airgas! This place sells welding supplies…read more But do you know what else they sell? DRY ICE. Oh yes they do. It's about $10 for 10 lbs of dry ice pellets. A pellet is about the size of a AA battery. I know what you're thinking...what would I do with dry ice? Maybe you're going to do a bunch of awesome science experiments for six-year-olds. Maybe you're going to ship some frozen sausages from Smoking Goose to your friend in Colorado. They'll stay frozen if you ship double-packed with ice and dry ice. Maybe you want your ice cubes to stay frozen when you go to a music festival so you can use them to make cocktails. Dry ice will keep those cubes solid. Oh yes it will.
