About three weeks ago he refunded the money we had paid him to do our taxes and this morning this is what he sent me and I quote: "Thanks for the review CUN*" (I sensored the last letter but he wrote it out in his email to me) Real nice language coming from a man that runs his own business. It just goes to show you that reviews are written for a reason. AWFUL SERVICE! Not sure what "financing" he is talking about in his statement to my review, and as for false information....we gave him a w-2 and a 1099 (two things that come directly from your employer). I'm sure any qualified professional would know what to do with those two things!

Hands down the worst experience we've had with an accountant in 25+ years of business. We took our…read moretaxes and a few other matters to David Stackrow, who assured us we'd be building a partnership that would last. Nothing could be further from our experience. Sparse communication, fragmented work, stonewalling and gaslighting have been the core aspects of the relationship. Attention to detail or any of the kindness and empathy usually present in a partnership has been woefully absent. We've tried everything to make it work, from being flexible to waiting weeks on end, all to culminate with consistent and blatant unprofessionalism. He left us in a horrible state of affairs and worse, he invoiced us despite never actually doing the work properly. He left us high and dry on myriad issues. He is not well-informed on newer policies and statutes, which makes his advice and abilities antiquated at best and negligent at worst. There is an arrogance within this establishment that is palpable, and it's backed up by words that fail to match any real strategic action or industry-specific wisdom. Do not trust your business to this firm, or to Mr. Stackrow.

Finding out I had been doing my own taxes wrong for the past three years gave me extreme anxiety,…read morebut going to Michael helped diminish that greatly. I'm young and taxes are pretty much a foreign language to me. Michael helped explain them all to me in the simplest way possible, and he was able to amend 3 years worth of taxes, basically pick up where I left off and explain to me what my next steps were. He even gave me instructions for all my amended returns in the easiest steps for a process I had never done before. Michael was extremely patient and easy to contact when I needed help outside of his office. He provided me with status updates and was able to meet on my time to go over the final stages. I highly recommend Michael and his business if you need your taxes done, from the smallest of returns to my sort of problem--where you don't know what you're doing. He eased my nerves and added humor to my hefty situation, a very funny guy. 5 stars and coming back next year!

My taxes aren't super difficult but they are more complicated than the average persons and this day and age you sure as heck better know what you're doing and I feel confident every year knowing Spag & Spag do my taxes because I know they'll be done right. Several years ago they ran the payroll for my company when we were first starting up almost 17 years ago and they did an excellent job at that as well so they do perform other financial services other than taxes too. Staff is always friendly and accommodating every time I go in. If your in the hunt for a new accountant, you're in good hands with Spag & Spag.
