Be aware there were only 5 or so size 12's for women, but they still had a nice selection of shoes otherwise.

I was looking for a specific model of shoe and they quickly moved to see if they had it in the store, on the rack or in the back, unfortunately they did not. But....she found a comparable sneaker that I LOVED! AND...AND!...she called the Oxford store for me and found the model I was looking for! Seriously!! I had them resoled, I was careful to grease them, and miss them terribly. Alas, they were stolen one day. Part of me hopes the thief got blisters or tore a ligament. Part of me hopes they are wearing them in good health. I just bought the Hikers and am in love with Limmer again. The service they provided, as we got the fit right, was outstanding. Chris, out of Ft Collins, was exceedingly patient and insightful. Yes, I cannot recommend the Hikers enough; they are super comfortable, have great traction, and are gorgeous to look at. They brainstormed together on how they could fix it and we ended up deciding against it because it would be a lot of man-hours put into hand making a new one. Whew! This is a family business that started in 1919 in Bavaria and has been open in NH since 1950. They specialize in hiking boots and they're known to have a 2-3 year waitlist for custom boots! They also have boots in stock you can purchase, if I were a local I'd definitely get a pair. Since we're up here twice a year we may just decide to!

I have been purchasing various leather goods for over 30 years. The staff is kind and helpful. I…read morewent in to find a purse in June and that's when I realized they make dog collars. I didn't have my dog with me and they said "come in anytime, bring your dog, we would love to fit him for a collar." I measured my dogs neck, brought in a current collar and was so excited to have a collar made in September. The lady was so rude, extremely unhelpful and said, "we don't make collars for 70LB dogs." Go to their photos and you will see a HUGE dog wearing THEIR collar. I told her that I was previously told to come in! She dismissed me. She walked away. Another employee saw that I was upset and confused. She said, "you could cut a belt down to the proper size." I chose a belt and the employee that dismissed me was clearly upset that she had to do this for me. She didn't offer to emboss his name (as they do on bracelets and other products) and was again irritated with her employee when she asked her to. I left with a lovely collar but very shaky over the negative vibe. I emailed Beggars Pouch a couple of days later as I just couldn't believe the way I was treated. It won't come as a surprise that I never heard back. To make matters worse - It was the female OWNER that dismissed me. Kudos to the other gal working there that was happy to help me and went above and beyond. My elderly mom was with me both times and stated to me that she wished she didn't purchase her $285.00 purse as Beggars Pouch doesn't deserve her time or money. It's a shame.
