We love this theater and are so incredibly grateful it's in town here. The popcorn is great, and the recliners are amazing.

If you are looking for a great place for a movie night with the family this is it! Carter and Jacob were great hosts, it's really nice to go to a place of relaxation and find people who care about their jobs and you can tell by the way they and everyone else there treated you, it was like they had a vested interest in the theater, the seats are recliners and new with heat, there are partitions in between the rows so it makes the viewing experience like you are the only ones there, I leave reviews for excellent places like this, this theater chain cares about keeping the movie theater experience alive and excellent, I quit going to theaters because of lousy service and attitude but this one has made a new customer! My kids even suggested we start having a movie night as a family again. Free refills on soft drinks and icees, and popcorn, clean bathrooms, and the concessions area was clean, I can't wait until Dec 2nd a classic thriller will replay "3 Days of The Condor" you have me hook line and sinker! Nice theater! We just moved to Illinois from Chanhassen, MN and frequented the AMC theaters. So was curious to see what Freeport had. Very nice, clean and as you leave the movie there was a nice employee standing with a bowl of wrapped mints. So sweet that they do that! Just saw Spider-Man the Homecoming and I wasn't sure, but it captured everything it should in those circumstances. I loved the movie! The Londo Theater has all great movies and many time slots for our selection. Bravo! read more

Pros: 1. Free popcorn refills! Just have to walk back out to the concession stand, any size too. I personally prefer the non butter popcorn. 2. Good selection of films with many showtimes. 3. Theatre 3 or 4 was very nice, leather chairs with good stadium seating. 4. Sound and video were all great and not too busy. Cons: 1. I think some of the theatres are not quite as nice. Particularly one of the larger theatres, the seats weren't raised high enough for true stadium seating and the seats were not leather or as comfortable. This was a few years ago though and may have been remodeled. read more

The Lindo may not always have every movie that I want to see but for $5 matinees and $7 for evening tickets it's a pretty great deal. They do charge $2 for 3-D movies but that's no more than any other theater charges. The prices for concessions are pretty low compared to other theaters in the area. $5.50 for a large popcorn and $3.75 for a large soda. Candy prices range from $1.75 to $3.50. It's also a great old theater that has recently added 3 brand new theaters with stadium seating and they also remodeled two theaters to have stadium seating. read more

I love theatres that have the old town feel to them. The ones that might have a broken seat in the isle, or the speaker out in the back of the house. Not that those make for a grand movie going experience, but they add to the ambiance of the place. I liked this theatre. It's in the downtown area and has plenty of parking around the building. The price for the show was very affordable, compared to the prices of theatres in the city - ridiculous! Anyways, if you are in town and looking to check out a flick, check this place out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I would give zero stars to the Lindo theater if I could. My boys wanted to see the movie Purge: Election Year. They are 16 years old. My wife and I went with them, and bought tickets for them to see the movie. We bought tickets for my wife and I to see Independence Day. Soon after we sat down for Independence Day., and my boys were in the next theater to watch Purge, a Lindo theatre manager insisted that my boys could not watch Purge by themselves--we had to watch this pathetically stupid movie with them. The manager said it was their theater policy that 16 year olds cannot see an R rated movie by themselves. They forced my wife and I to sit with them to watch the idiotic Purge movie. We have been loyal Lindo theater patrons for over ten years. I do not need some theater manager trying to help raise and parent my boys. If I permit them to see an "R" rated movie, that is my choice--I do not need a theater manager or owner of a theater trying to parent my children. My wife and I purposely did not want to see the Purge movie, as the first two were incredibly stupid and we knew the third installment would be too, and we were right. What difference does it make whether we are in the same theater with them, or we are 100 feet away? The Lindo theater lost long time patrons tonight. We will NEVER give them any of our money again. We already have the federal and state government trying to run every aspect of our lives. I do not need a theater manager and owner dictating how we raise our children. Adios, Lindo theater. You screwed up big tonight. I will let everyone I know hear about their "nanny state" policy. Lindo Theater, YOU ARE DEAD TO ME!! read more

Pretty nice theater for the area! They usually have a good selection of movies playing and have enough rooms for a large crowd. The pros: -AMAZING NACHOS! -all popcorn and beverage sizes are refillable -matinee is only $5!!! -bathrooms are always clean Cons: -they could improve on the overall cleanliness ... And I think that's all I can think of! Also you can sign up for their rewards program and earn points every time you buy tickets and concessions and at somewhere around 500 points you can get a free movie pass! Plus you receive special free movie passes on certain holidays or your birthday. Free movie? Why not?! read more

My wife and I have lived near Freeport for the last 25 years. The one bright spot in our lives is the Lindo theater. Over the years the theater has been continuously improving. I remember when it was 3-plex then 4 more screens were added then 4 more after that. They show all the new releases and the selection is great. I disagree with the one person that said he was uncomfortable due to the temperature being too high all the time. As a frequent movie goer, (we attend an average of 25 times per year) I can't think of a time when I was ever uncomfortable. The seats are very comfortable too. This place is a pretty decent spot to watch films except its always a sauna...I've been here a dozen times & the theater is hot as hell...why is the temperature set so high...other folks who have been have said the same...also the showtimes on their website & other sites(fandango) are wrong sometimes by 20 minutes...uhm this is a problem folks yet management doesn't seem to really care...I busted my butt to get to theater on time only to find out film started 20 minutes ago....the reaction from staff was oh well...lol...terrible! read more

Great specials for the kids on food, great selection of current movies, summer matinees at discounted prices, rewards program....overall great place to visit if you are in or near the Freeport area. Old town feel with updated theaters. Great place for kids birthday parties as well. read more
