The apprentice barber engaged my husband in conversation, immediately. He is cool. Too bad Chris wasn't able to cut my husband's hair, he seemed like the whiz with the clippers. Cutting hair seems to be second nature to him. It's like watching Edward Scissorhand, minus the death cut scissors and clients coming out alive after a cut. ;) The back bottom fade came out nicely. Might have been cool to get an etched out part to help define it more. Would have gotten the side front faded as well, but the cut had already taken about 45 minutes, still a good cut overall. The barber chairs are retro and vintage looking, they look quite sturdy too. All look true vintage except the brown one, that one looks to be nouveau retro. I really the dresser and marble countertop by the one barber chair when you first walk in. I don't mind watching the professionals cut my hubby's hair at all, so much faster than I could ever. All of the staff are quick to get folks in and out of here. My hubby got a handful of bad cuts during covid. It sounded like alternative music until I heard this cool song S' Anazito Sti Saloniki by Dimitris Mitrapanos, can't understand it, sounds Greek and cool either way. All appointments are done via a website called StyleSeat, so you can instantly see what availability they have. These two ladies are so popular they are always booked solid, so you have to be a little lucky to get an appointment. They also don't do walk-ins because they are always so busy. Anyway - this is an old school barber shop with a pin up girl style ambiance. Since it's by appointment, it's often just you and the barber, and you can have great conversations about just about everything. As for the actual cuts - they go above and beyond to make you look good. I never look better than I do coming out of this place. My only complaint is that there isn't 3 or 4 of her, but I am excited to see she recently hired another stylist and know Jazz would only work with the best. As for the one star review, make an appointment and take a number. Rogue is a real barbershop and Jazz in high demand. To think you can get a walk in is ridiculous, go get your dad cut at a strip mall chop shop.

I would recommend making an appointment. The shop is clean and well decorated with a big screen TV. My 3 yo daughter came with me and he changed it to cartoons for her to keep her entertained. Great haircut. Friendly service. Great addition to down town Whitehall. Walk-ins are welcome but every time I drive by there is someone in the barbers chair. I love the sign as well.
