New Orleans Flooring - Hardwood floors for the kitchen

    New Orleans Flooring

We had our floor replaced…read morewith an LVP product called Strong Built Floors which was sold exclusively by New Orleans Flooring. Shortly after installation we started having issues with the flooring popping up and warping. Countless times we had to have them replace the broken and or warped boards. After months of this happening they decided to rip up the flooring and have it reinstalled "properly". Their excuse was not that there was a problem with the flooring but a problem with the installation. So we once again had to rent a storage pod out of pocket and move all of our furniture. Plus, we had to move out of our house with two small kids while they worked. This time they did an even worse job than the first time, rushing to get the entire job completed within a weekend. They did not allow the flooring to acclimate to the indoor environment and did not allow proper drying of the self leveler. There are too many other flooring companies in the greater New Orleans area that I'm sure would do a much better job than New Orleans flooring in Elmwood did. Please think twice before going with this company for your flooring needs.

Now granted, I don't know a lot about the area coming from Memphis, but I can't tell you how happy I am with the service that we received. First off, in these covid times, all matters of business are difficult, especially involving letting strangers into your home. But the crew with New Orleans Flooring, was not only extremely punctual, but they were courteous to all of my needs and even some of my incessant questions. We've had no issues with any bunching or corners coming up, and I'm still enjoying that new carpet smell here a few weeks after the installation. I really can't think these guys enough. The guy i talked with, John, was very welcoming and warm-hearted. He was able to work with my hectic schedule and provided me with that real New Orleans hospitality I've been hearing so much about it. Definitely would recommend their services to others

I was surprised to walk in here and find so much other stuff besides stone. They had a decent selection of tile, one of which we already purchased from a different vendor. They had a small collection of sinks and faucets. But I would say, there main product is the stone. We arrived on a Saturday. Thankfully, they are open until 1pm. Saturdays are probably not their most organized day. We had set this up during the week and had been working with a very friendly and helpful sales person, who made sure everything would be in order for our arrival. It kind of was. The front desk woman was kind of the weak link. Even when we told her exactly who we spoke with and what we were looking for, she kept pushing the generic spiel on us. We figured she was clueless, so we pushed on onward to the slabs and found someone else. I think her name was Annaliza. That's what Shari V wrote down anyway. She was great. She directed us towards the slabs which had been set out for us. She was not pushy and did not hover. She was clearly busy but was around an appropriate amount. We deliberated on a few slabs and ultimately settled on a piece we loved. In fact, we really like two slabs, so it was a toss up. Choosing between two nice slabs was a good problem to have. Overall, I found the staff here very friendly and once we found the right person to talk to, things went pretty smoothly. Triton had a solid selection. The warehouse is not too hot. They had some good fans going. Their rows are nicely marked, so it was not too hard to find the right piece of rock. I would repeat Triton, but hopefully, I won't have to.

She listened to what we were thinking about for stone, and then built upon our conversation. She made my husband and I so comfortable to begin our journey picking out stone for our home! TBC!

We noticed small problems with…read morethe tile flooring- the grout was coming loose, a couple of tiles were getting small cracks in them, etc. Through my neighborhoods homeowners association, I found out Prestige Flooring did the flooring for my house, and the HOA president gave me a cell phone number for what I assume is the owner of the company. I called and spoke to him wanting information on why the floors may be doing this and if they can come repair the floors since they may know what went wrong BEFORE the floors got any worse- I was fully prepared to pay! When he asked what neighborhood I lived in, I told him and he immediately sounded like he was way too busy to talk to me and told me to text him with my name and number. Of course I never heard back from him. Now it looks like my floor got ruined by an earthquake, it has gotten so much worse, you can't even walk on my floor without the tiles sinking down because they are so buckled, the tiles are cracking in half, completely loose to where I can pick them up, etc. My whole house (except the bedrooms) is tile and this is happening in the whole house! This company obviously did an awful job laying the tiles. Oh and I forgot to mention, I asked two of my neighbors if this was happening to their floors and they said yes! (This company laid all the floors for this neighborhood- same builder for this neighborhood).

We went in on a Friday to the Showroom right as they were closing, and Anna allowed us to stay an extra hour longer while she was finalizing paperwork. Anna expertly answered our questions on customization, lead times, and design combinations for baseboards, casings, and crown molding. Anna even offered a venison treat to our dog too. As we were about to leave, our starter went out, and Frank and a few other gentlemen from the warehouse, who were getting off of work on a Friday, stayed late and helped to try to jump-start our vehicle and charge our battery before we could even put in a request for roadside assistance. We were waiting for the tow truck company, and it started to get dark; the owner, David, came out and asked if we were okay, asked if we needed to use the restroom, and ensured we felt safe. David even offered to stay late to guarantee we were not left alone at night. Millwork & Molding and Supply is in a safe location with a fantastic selection. We will be outfitting our downstairs from floor to ceiling with their molding for an elegant aesthetic, factors less than the run-of-the-mill stock at Home Depot or Lowe's. I highly recommend Millwork & Molding and Supply to any individual, contractor, designer, or developer; a true gem of a company, product, and experience with wonderful people!
