    FINANCIAL NIGHTMARE. As a board member, we WASTED $50,000 and got the slumlord management treatment from Manager MICAELA KEE and RUTH McLAUGHLIN. Ruth told our board in a call, "Sit back and let us do everything. We'll take care of you." Then we find out for the entire time we were with Classic our Financials were never audited, and they did not record transactions in conformity with GAAP and best accounting practices, including reconciling account balances. They did not work to remove a Cadillac trapped under a downed Carport for over 21 days after a storm (as pictured below or click photo link below my username). They overcharged us $8,500 by using their preferred vendor over our commercial landscaper to chainsaw 1 tree (no stump). They didn't even haul the branches and we had to pay our landscaper to do it. They did not remove the metal debris. After over 21 days our board had to hire a contractor to fix the carport and remove the trapped car. Classic's accounting department overcharged several homeowners the incorrect monthly dues, while undercharging other owners, according to our new property management firm. They also incorrectly added interest and late fees to many homeowner accounts for months from what Sharon Reynolds, Accounting Manager, and Susann Fortney, COO, referred to as Classic's accounting software error. Our property manager Micaela Kee was never consistent in providing written inspection reports for her supposed 2 monthly site visits. The board asked her to notify us in advance of visits but she never did. We had a pool pump leak that went unaddressed for 5 months. We scheduled a meeting to discuss this and other concerns with her and her manager Ruth and they didn't show up. They still refuse to provide our request for Monthly Inspection Reports, probably because they were not made. Micaela was such a poor communicator with homeowners and board that major issues went unaddressed for months if they were even addressed at all. In an email she wrote that she didn't see communications because "they were in her spam folder". A homeowner repeatedly made requests from August 2018 to January 2019 to address property issues and they were not timely addressed. Another homeowner trying to sell their home was told Classic "didn't have to complete HOA surveys because they couldn't care less whether the condo sold or not." Classic's mismanagement of our community was a liability in the end. But hey, CALL Micaela Kee if you like wasting money, BECAUSE YOUR E-MAIL MAY GO TO HER SPAM FOLDER.

    Flooded my home and no one cares. They promised a dry vacuum and they never sent it.

We pay over $2200 a month for 1600 square feet and that includes the garage. They care more about the land lord than the tenants. When the lease is up we are out. I recommend everyone do research before you rent. Rent is always negotiatable if you're dealing with honest people! I will not attack anyone 1 person. He is very knowledgeable and well-connected in the community, which made the leasing process very easy for us homeowners. He quickly found well qualified tenants for our house - his screening process is very thorough and, as a result, we never had to worry about our tenants not paying rent on time. He is also extremely efficient.. whenever there was a minor repair/maintenance needed, Kevin would be able to get a contractor to assess and fix the issue within days. Living in California, we needed a property manager that we can fully trust because we're not nearby to check on the house. Kevin is VERY responsive to communication, I'm actually not sure if he ever sleeps. When we had an issue with our water heater, Kevin was on vacation and he was texting us from Paris and London! I should've gone with my gut instinct when my real estate agent and myself tried multiple times to get a hold of someone at MRE. It took 6 days to finally speak with Shalove. All we seem to reach was what appeared to be an answering service because I guess nobody is ever in the office. Shalove was never disrespectful and condescending once she collected ($225 in app fees). Again, I should've gone with my gut instinct plus all of the other negative reviews that are out there on this company. Buyer Beware do not rent from or use them as a property manager!!

    Correction -4 Stars…read more Worst company I have ever encountered. The fully earned their F- rating on BBB. This should tell you how they get positive reviews. They are either their friends/family/co-workers or they are paid for and or they are fake. Eli and Betty at Highlands Creek are the most ineffective workers. They do not go behind vendors and maintenance to ensure that all jobs are completed and performed as leasing contracts state they will be. I have been in my apartment for 5 months and still have not gotten the 4 kitchen drawers, that do not work at all, fixed. My oven will only heat to 325, and it's meant to go to 450. So, I am limited as to what I can cook. My dishwasher runs for 2 hours. I am not paying that water bill so I must hand wash everything. My HVAC unit does not work properly. I live in a townhome, so I have 2 floors. Upstairs is 4 degrees warmer than my downstairs. So if I want to be comfortable upstairs where all bedrooms are I must put my AC down to 68. That would make my electric bill close to $300 a month. This makes my apartment even more expensive than my LEASE states it will be. My storage shed door is busted and cannot be secured, and I'm on the first floor. So, I have had to get a storage unit, there's another $60 a month. Their maintenance can only be described as pointless. They close work orders, stating they were done, and never even entered the apartment. Eli and Betty do NOTHING about it. Trust me, you can easily find a better, more affordable place to live. Not to mention your neighbors leave their trash out in front of their doors overnight, so the cats and racoons tear into and leave it all over the place. And they clean their cars out and leave the trash in the space they were parked in when they cleaned them out. And Eli and Betty do nothing about it. They also play their music VERY loud/rattling your walls and yell at you if you knock on the door and ask them to turn it down. Eli will spin all sorts of stories about how things are going to be done and improved. And nothing happens. Seems the only concern Eli has is for the people from across the street park in our parking spaces. Make sure this Slumlord Management Company doesn't work for any place you want to live, it will be crap.
