Jahkim (owner) and Classic Razor Sharp exceeded all of my expectations. For some background, I am 4c natural. I used to have longer hair and recently cut it and shaved the sides and the back. This was my first ever visit to a barbershop. Prior to today, I had gone to hair salons for 30 years. Needless to say, I had some pictures from Pinterest but really didn't know what I wanted. Jahkim was a professional from the moment I entered the shop. He took his time, explaining how shapeups are different for men and women given different facial shape and structures and I shared I didn't want a style for lack of a better term that was "overly masculine". Going off of that, Jahkim gave me a perfect style. Beyond that, he gave me a design that I didn't even show him which I had saved to my Pinterest board and was interested in but hadn't "built myself up to" yet. He shaved the design in (a heart) and it was literally perfect! Beyond just the shapeup and design, Jahkim is an awesome human being. He's genuine and sincere and just keeps it 1000% real with the conversations and everything else. I had a barber I was going to when I first moved to NJ from BK back in 1999. Darryl Johnson was my "go to" guy from 1999 until his passing 10.16.17. I had a decent backup but wanted a change. I found it here. Jahkim hooked me up. In fact, it's the barbershop vibe that befits the neighborhood. They're friendly, courteous, professional and cultural. It's not just the haircut, it's the experience! I like the fact of the annual free haircuts from the Boys and Girls club next store. It feels like my Brooklyn days. Razor Sharp moved to 212 Centre Street. Bigger shop and a lot more going on. Still the same barbers and still a shop with a lot of class. A couple things will never change: the high quality of the haircuts and the enthusiasm from the barbers, Jahkim and Vince. Everywhere I go, I tell people about this shop. This is where you can get an actual FADE and lined up perfectly. They got the hot towels and the hot shaving cream. I'll never stop going to Jahkim for my fades when I'm in NJ. Believe me, a shop like this is hard to find anywhere. These guys offer a dying art with a PROPER haircut. They'll cut all types of hair. read more

I've been getting my haircut by Vince since 2010. A lot has changed since then! In 2012, The Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County partnered with Razor Sharp to open up a new shop on Centre Street that promoted a mature atmosphere for folks of all ages. Through the program, they mentor adolescents in entrepreneurship and life skills, among other things. I have a lot of respect for what they do in the community... Barbering skills? They do PROPER fades, trims, shape-ups, designs, and whatever else you might request. They cut straight hair as well (like mine). Ladies can get their fix too, even if it's just a shampooing or eyebrows... Recently, they've started mixing organic shaving creams from different fruits, herbs, and spices. Pick from 10-15 different scents and get yourself a nice shave! An added skill? They make their own bow-ties. You pick a design, they'll measure your neck, and you'll have it after a couple days. I've been to a couple barbers in NJ, but I like the barbering techniques and overall feel-good atmosphere here. My only advice is to call for an appointment, especially on weekends and evenings, as it can get pretty crowded. Weekday mornings / afternoons are a little less busier. read more

I have been there two times and the barbers there are very professional. They do a lot for the community too. I am a women and I gave Star (the barber) a picture of the cut I wanted and it came out just the way I wanted it. He is fast and the barbers are very respectful too. Went to this shop based on yelp reviews and very glad we did. Its hard to find a shop in Princeton, but this was really easy to get to. Everyone was very welcoming and my boyfriend was able to get right in the chair. I think the guy who cut his hair was named Star, and he did a really good job with the cut and line up. Will definitely be back soon. read more

This was one of the worst cuts I've ever gotten in my life. No joke this cut was so bad I couldn't walk outside for like two weeks or so without a hat. Avoid if you can. Super cuts could've done a better job. read more
