I tried to wash my hair and put aloe oil on my scalp however this has been going on every since Friday 10/18 and today is 10/23 and I'm still experiencing burning and itching throughout my scalp.I spoke to an individual on 10/22/24 and let him know what happened and he said that's horrible he would inform the owner Ruth of what happened and because I had a bad experience see that I get my Money back. Well 10/23 I receive a phone call where that same receptionist is telling me that there is nothing that they will do because she did her job and told me that they couldn't guarantee the product will work. this is a dye that I always use and never had a reaction to. She said that "if I dye my hair on the regular than I will know that I have to use a peroxide developer " however if someone come in saying that they have an allergy to something before you decide to take the product in the back and start mixing things you should review the ingredients with the client instead of just mixing something together just because it says organic. I am a very understanding person and understand accidents happen but Not one time did her or the owner apologize for what happen not one time did they express any concern other than being in defense mode. This is very disheartening to know that I am experiencing a bad allergic reaction and the salon people that mixed my safe product with the product of their choice is showing no type of sympathy or providing any type of solution is very upsetting. They was better off acknowledging what happened apologizing and offering a solution and I would of been happy with that. I will now take progressive action.

When he said he wanted a new look for school, I was both thrilled for him and nervous-- he's very sensitive and I knew that a big change was going to be hard for him. I barely slept the night before the appointment because I was worried about how he'd react. Teenage egos are fragile, especially when starting a new school. I knew it was going to be a big change, so I wanted to bring him somewhere better than the regular local barber. I read a few reviews and decided to make an appointment at Robert James. And I am so very glad that I did. Shelly and Robert understood right away that my son was nervous, that he was shy, and that this was a big deal for him. And from the moment he sat down, they made him feel completely comfortable. They kept reassuring him that it was going to be great and that he was going to look and feel so much better. They talked to him with compassion and kindness and distracted his worries with humor and care. As I sat there and watched, I couldn't stop smiling because my son was... happy. I was expecting him to be sad or dissatisfied or regretful, but he was really, really happy. I was shocked and thrilled and grateful. I started on October 15th at…read moreJody's salon upon hiring I was told that I would be able to bring in models to built my book, I was also told that I would be provided mannequin heads for practice which were not provided to me and I asked a couple of times, on 3 different occasions I asked to bring someone in and was told the schedule would have to be "looked" at it was never looked at leaving me with no models, I also had a client coming in on a Wednesday to have highlights and had to cancel on her last minute because another client was put in that time slot that did not show up, leaving me to have to inconvenience a friend who simply just wanted her hair done, working at Jody's salon I shampoo out all of her clients and receive maybe $5 leaving me to believe that she is pocketing my tips, I'm asked to leave every night before the last client is out of the salon and not being asked to tip out or get bigger bills, also being told in front of a client because I asked for help that I have "2 ears and one mouth for a reason" having my client now uncomfortable sitting in my chair because I asked a simple question to my boss, I was told I'd be making minimum wage which in the state of NJ is $15.13 per hour I was making $12 also being told I would have walk ins coming in everyday to help build my book, I can count on one hand how many clients I've had in working there for 4 weeks, last week I accidentally spilled a bowl of color and was given an an attitude obviously it wasn't spilled on purpose but I didn't expect to get such a rude reaction from Jody then her husband asks me if I got a before picture and when I said no eyes were rolled on his part when I was just trying to get the mess cleaned up and my client started...when I came into Jody's salon this morning to talk about my paycheck which for 2 weeks should come out to around $540 I received $357, the owner (Jody) cut me off and told me that maybe it's a good thing I'm leaving because she isn't getting from me what she needs, but yet I'm supposed to be under paid and do everything for her? When I arrived home this morning my mother called the salon to ask why my hours weren't adding up to my pay check, Jody told my mom I was a liar!
