We had an amazing time with Capt. Dan in Oxnard and out on the ocean. He entertained us with tales of his ocean adventures and his life on land. The boat is lovely and our group of 5 had an amazing time out on the water. We were very fortunate and got to cruise with a pod of dolphins for 45 minutes. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I will definitely be seeking out the Captain next time I'm in town. read more

He will regale you with stories while you cruise out. We had the perfect experience. Despite announced high swells and small boat warning, we had unusually calm seas and sunny skies. Spent a day of my sister's bachelorette with Dan. The sis wants to check off all the national park so we wanted to make it special by renting a private tour instead of going with island packers. So when I found Dan I was really ecstatic and as soon as I spoke to him on the phone I was convinced this was the trip for us. Dan went into detail on what the trip would entail and I would tell he genuinely loved being out in the ocean. He was all booked but I kept checking in and some how he cleared up his schedule for us. Thanks for that!! Leading up to the trip, he kept me posted on the weather as we were expecting rain during that day. He kept me posted almost everyday 1 week out for our trip! We met him on the 26th and was very down to earth. We were a group of 7 girls and we went out to see the Ancarpa arch, on our way there we saw some dolphins. Then we headed out to Santa Cruz. We had about 2 hours to spend in the island. Some of us snorkeled and the rest hiked. Dan, thank you so much for a memorable day, just wish the weather was warmer but overall it was a fun trip. Tips: Stay outside on the way out, we were less nauseous than people that stayed inside! Take bonine or Dramamine for motion sickness I would suggest leaving early to get more time in the island. What a terrific time for my family on this absolutely charming yacht! Capt. Dan is a consummate host and seasoned captain. We were relaxed and felt completely safe the entire afternoon of our memorable trip. We cruised down the 2 mile long harbor while Capt. Dan shared entertaining stories and insights along the way and we enjoyed the clam chowder we picked up on the way in. An incoming storm front prevented us from going beyond the break. And upon Capt. Dan's advice limited this outing to the harbor. We all appreciated his concern for safety and look forward to returning for longer charters. Next time, we hope to make it out to Channel Islands! My girlfriend and I went on a sunset cruise with Captain Dan yesterday and we both agree that it was a memory that will last a lifetime. The sunset was incredible and we were fortunate to have very favorable weather and sea conditions. A huge pod of dolphins swam right around the boat on the way out. What a nice surprise! We chartered boat for a day trip to Channel islands for our family of 5. And we all had great time, saw dolphins, went to the beach at Santa Cruz, kayaked and went around Anacapa. Captain Dan was very professional, went beyond our expectations making sure we are having great time. Boat was nice and clean, with kayaks. Captain Dan took us out on his boat for a weekend trip to channel islands. Hands down it was one of the most amazing adventure weekends our group of friends has ever had. We explored beautiful remote parts of the Islands (circumnavigated Santa Cruz Island), fished, saw dolphins, seals, kayaked, cruised around in the dinghy and so much more. And even more important was how professional, friendly and amazing Dan was with our group. He shared so many great stories and we were honored to be able to do a trip with him. We celebrated two birthdays last weekend aboard Ciao Bella with Captain Dan. It was AMAZING. We were out in Pacific Ocean, Anacapa Island and Santa Cruz Island for more than 6+ hours watching dolphins, seals, and hiking. Captain Dan was wonderful. THE BEST! Kept having to reschedule because the ocean conditions weren't cooperating, but we really appreciated Captain Dan's dedication to safety and ensuring we had a memorable and positive experience. He was very apologetic but we didn't mind postponing at all and understand how Mother Nature works. When we finally were able to get out on the water the conditions were perfect. It was glorious and such a special way to spend one of our last days before moving out of state. Dan's love of the ocean was infectious and he was totally accommodating and friendly and made us feel at home on his beloved Ciao Bella. We saw hundreds and hundreds of dolphins that swam alongside the boat and I was squealing alongside my kids. We also saw three whales and had great luck fishing. The kids loved driving the boat!
