I've needed notary service only a very few times in my 1/2 dozen + decades of life, and this was the first time I've used a mobile notary. This was more out of necessity than convenience, as I'm disabled and have no car, and am currently unable to use the bus system, so would have to schedule Access paratransit service to go to a brick and mortar location. I messaged Gennell through Yelp, and she responded very quickly. After asking her a couple of questions, she let me know of her availability today. She later confirmed by text with a much earlier window of availability (afternoon rather than evening), which was more convenient for me. She came by at the scheduled time and notarized my document. Gennell showed up within five minutes of scheduled time (and apologized for the five minutes); did all her paperwork, checked my ID, watched me sign, put her signature and her raised-print notary marker on my document, took the check I gave her, and was done inside fifteen minutes. Overall, a great experience. I needed not only a notary, but the presence of two witnesses, which means I couldn't use a bank or UPS/Fedex store (neither would agree to let anyone be a witness and I couldn't ask friends to take time off of work to come in the middle of the day to sign papers!). So I found this service on Yelp and gave her a quick call. She was very responsive and available for a convenient late Friday evening (6:45pm) appointment (and was also quick to respond when he had to change the appointment time twice), which was perfect as I could meet at a friends house after work.
