When I was working in an office located at Ayala FGU Building, my colleagues and I would troop to Claudette's in Valero Street during birthday or payday celebrations. Back then, Salcedo Village wasn't the food mecca that it has become today.
For me Claudette's is first and foremost a dessert place. This is where I buy cakes for the special people in my life. My wife loves Dolly Sin, a chocolate cake that's moist and not too sweet. For my part, I like the Dulce De Leche because of its creamy leche flan inside and out. Once in a while, I order the Blueberry Cheesecake for its melt-in-your-mouth texture -- that's coming from someone who's not really a fan of cheesecakes.
What I like about Claudette's is that they consistently deliver on the same quality and taste of their desserts that I have grown fond of over the years. Apart from sweet delicacies, they also serve meals. For their rice sets, which all come with soup and side salad, I highly recommend the Chicken Cordon Bleu or the Grilled Pork Chops. For their pasta, I like the Beef Stroganoff best. read more
