They treated me well and…read moreseemed concerned. they told me the particular cancer I had was very easily treatable and I had a 95 percent of a full recovery. Then I explained that I was two and a half hours north of them and I had found a small clinic just 5 minutes from my house, as the treatment I needed would have required two treatments a day for six weeks. Suddenly, the tone changed, as did their body language. They told me if I went to the local clinic I was risking my life and would more then likely have a far less chance of recovering. Like they had a magic treatment of some sort. They tried their best to scare the hell out of me in plain English. While in fact I had noted the radiation machine they had and compared it to my local clinics. They had the very same machine and plan as my local clinic right in Lecanto Fl. I completed my 6 weeks of treatment and while it was rough, it did in fact help me. it's been 7 years. I would not recommend Moffitt at all for any type of cancer treatment. They didn't care about me or my situation. All they cared about was their numbers and studies. I love my Doctor. Dr Joey Bennitt. they did a great job and saved my life. If you get diagnosed with cancer, take a minute to really think about what will be the easiest for you and your family. these small clinics are a lot more personal and you see the same people every day during your treatment, while at Moffitt you never see the same people twice and they seem to be taking advantage of your diagnoses and will use it to their advantage to have you open your check book and say do what ever it takes. Truthfully, all the treatment facilities are the same and will do the exact same thing to help you. Don't fall for their scam. 7 years doing fine!

Going through some medical stuff with hubs and Dr. Blanco was recommended by a doctor friend and…read moreour primary care recommended this practice. Calling to make the appointment was easy and the staff member was very helpful. Explained the situation and need to get in early, advised that our primary called also to get us in early and she was able to squeeze us in. This place is located right next to the Bucs training facility and has a large parking lot however it gets extremely busy and parking can be a challenge. Our first visit, we found a spot and entered the building. Guard at the front that hands out masks if you want one (they are optional) as well as stickers -- patients get a different sticker than guests. He then tells you where to go after you explain what you're there for or who you are there to see. We had to proceed upstairs to check in. Elevator is available as well as stairs. Upstairs area checkin is a smaller area and didn't have anyone waiting so I thought wow this is going to be a quick visit. Little did I know there was another waiting area we'd be taken to that was packed full of patients! Checked in, nurse called us back where they take vitals and bloodwork then send you out to another waiting room where you wait to see the doctor. Our appointment was at 2:30pm and we didn't get called back until after 4pm. Annoying that you have a set appointment time and you're not seen until 1.5 hours after that time! Understand that they have patients whereby they have to work on plans and that may push them behind however they need to plan better with booking appointments then because our time is precious as well. Called back by Dr. Blanco nurse who was very friendly and seemed sincere in her concerns about us and in her apology for the time situation. After discussing with her, she got the Dr and we reviewed the care plan and we went on our way to check out and book the next set of appointments. Dr. Blanco was friendly and knowledgeable. And we were satisfied with his approach and care plan. We will see how the plan and follow up goes. The dr and staff were great, it's the scheduling and front office staff where improvements need to be made and result in the loss of stars here. I've encountered rude staff when calling for a status of messages I've left for the dr for discussion with the insurance company and rude staff at the scheduling area for upcoming appointments. Staff also needs to understand that patients and family dealing with these live situations are stressed and their rudeness doesn't help the situation. The office also needs to do a better job of addressing the appointment situation. Don't overbook to where your patients are waiting HOURS to be seen by the provider.

regarding the workplace environment and management practices in the facility, specifically noting…read morethe behaviors exhibited by Jane Nametz, the nursing manager, and Violet Velazquez, who is currently considered for the office manager position. Jane Nametz has demonstrated a concerning lack of management experience, which is further compounded by her preferential promotion of unqualified nurses into leadership roles. During nursing meetings, she has been dismissive of essential protocols, such as Precharting, and has expressed derogatory opinions about necessary practices, including the use of protective gowns during blood draws. Her comments, including unfavorable remarks about Dr. Pinnameni's qualifications and accusations of incompetence against Dr. Danamudy for not aligning with her pace, raise significant concerns about her professionalism and respect for her colleagues. Violet Velazquez has contributed to a detrimental workplace culture by suggesting that team members should refrain from expressing their opinions, akin to the behavior expected in a kindergarten setting. This not only stifles open communication but also fosters an environment of fear and intimidation among staff. Moreover, the assistant manager, Megan, appears to engage in favoritism, raising questions about the integrity of leadership. Her behavior--including crying to Dr. Wenk, the company president, about perceived credit theft by Violet--has been unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly as these discussions occurred in front of patients. This culture of discrimination and selective support undermines team cohesion and morale. In summary, the current leadership under Jane, Violet, and Megan is contributing to a hostile work environment that fails to prioritize patient care and staff well-being. It is crucial for prospective employees to be aware of these issues before joining, as they indicate a systemic problem that adversely affects both the team and the patients we serve. Immediate intervention and reevaluation of management practices are essential to fostering a healthier, more productive workplace.

I usually don't write bad reviews. However THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED…read more The representative I spoke to named Jamie was unprofessional, rude, and moved in a rushed manner.. I could barely get a word in while speaking with her. I've never been so frustrated with someone to where I have to let the higher-ups know. Jamie, was pushy and wanted to get me off the phone. I'm not sure what her deal was. I was nothing but nice, however she gave a nice nasty approach that I did not like and continued to cut me off whenever I spoke. Then she continued saying, yes the doctor is a busy lady after all she is a specialist... Uh duhhh that's my point in calling for her help. Anyway, she could really use a course on " how to communicate with patients". I'm not a stupid human being. I am a person and I deserve the same level of respect I gave Jamie on that call. I shouldn't even be writing this. It has nothing to do with the actual Dr. Honestly, Jamie is not the person I want to reach when I call back to follow up. I hope she actually does her job and reaches out for my records so we can get the ball rolling on me being seen. I'm not even sure she did that. She gave me no reassurance. Patients that are scared, concerned, worried, or just needing to find answers shouldn't be treated like an uneducated bum. I wasn't nasty to Jamie. Not once. She should really work on her attitude. If you were ready to go home because it's 4:30, let someone else answer the phone. Sadly, it got to the point I had to continuously ask her to slow down and reassure her that " I understood she was asking questions for the purpose of the appointment." Word of advice for Jamie... BE A NICE HUMAN TO OTHERS. ALSO LET THE CALLER GET A WORD IN. DON'T BE SO TRANSACTIONAL. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH BUT I HOPE YOU GET THROUGH IT. DO YOU KNOW WHERE THAT STARTS? WITH YOU BEING A GOOD HUMAN BEING TO OTHER HUMAN BEINGS NO MATTER WHO YOU THINK IS ON THE OTHER END OF THE CALL. DO BETTER NEXT TIME. By the end of the call she told me they'll reach out to the hospital for my records and get back to me in 2 weeks for an appointment... Are you kidding? That's insane. I have to see someone before I go back to my PCP visit. She wouldn't even let me get the word in that I needed a location in Tampa not Trinity. She didn't care, and that's okay because I don't either. So here's my review. Has nothing to do with Dr Jessica Stein but everything to do with Jamie who probably shouldn't have clocked in today... Signed - someone just looking for help and answers.
