I drove by this shop one day, on Henderson just past Chief Peguis, and had to stop in to get my tires checked before driving out to the Lake. The mechanic was super friendly and helpful so when I needed a headlight, I went back. The next time I dealt with another mechanic, Enzo, who again, was super friendly and helpful. So when I needed a few minor repairs on extended warranty, along with one minor repair that I would have to cover at my own cost, I made an appointment to bring it back. I've just returned home with my car because the owner, Mel, refused to fix my vehicle. Not kidding. Apparently he felt that the extra task of calling the tollfree number for authorization was too daunting a task and flat out refused, while I stood in the middle of the shop. He was happy enough to do the one, non-warranty item though. Unbelievable. Time and time again I run into these types of buffoons in this city. Needless to say, I won't be back. Where does one find a good licensed repair shop with owners who have functioning brain cells and courtesy for their customers?

It was suggested by a friend to take my car to UG. They were very friendly, timely and made sure I understood exactly what was wrong with my car. As a woman, I didn't feel intimidated and I was treated with the upmost respect. The waiting area is new and contemporary (wasn't forced to watch Sportsnet or the Golf channel the entire time). Plus, it's one bus to downtown so it was easy to drop off my car and get to work quickly. They not only fixed my car but informed me of other things they noticed that could use some repair.
