I drove by this shop one day, on Henderson just past Chief Peguis, and had to stop in to get my tires checked before driving out to the Lake. The mechanic was super friendly and helpful so when I needed a headlight, I went back. The next time I dealt with another mechanic, Enzo, who again, was super friendly and helpful. So when I needed a few minor repairs on extended warranty, along with one minor repair that I would have to cover at my own cost, I made an appointment to bring it back. I've just returned home with my car because the owner, Mel, refused to fix my vehicle. Not kidding. Apparently he felt that the extra task of calling the tollfree number for authorization was too daunting a task and flat out refused, while I stood in the middle of the shop. He was happy enough to do the one, non-warranty item though. Unbelievable. Time and time again I run into these types of buffoons in this city. Needless to say, I won't be back. Where does one find a good licensed repair shop with owners who have functioning brain cells and courtesy for their customers?

Went here with a squealing belt issue and noise coming from my front passenger wheel. Walked in and…read morethe guy behind the desk did not look happy to see me at all. So I asked them to check it out and they did. Called me within an hour and he said it was a misaligned belt and bad wheel bearing they said the price would be $700. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Drove home after the repairs were done to find that the noise from the tire is still there. Looked at the new wheel bearing and it was replaced on the drivers side. Said enough of this and took it to canadian tire. They told me it was my brake pads that were worn out. Got them to replace them and voila no more noise. Start up the truck and the squealing belt noise starts again . Honestly if you want to just thrrow you money away go here. If you want your vehicle fixed go elsewhere. Worst part is they specialize in brakes and couldn't even spot a brake problem.

The customer service is highly either suspect or not trained. You can't get estimates for general maintenance on theyre website ( oil changes, filter changes etc ). So on my experience in called for oil change on my particular vehicle ( passenger car ) if I brought my own oil and and was given a range $25 to $35. Great so i take it there and once done boom $79. At that point cant.do anything so the next day I called again. Just to ask again same info , and sane range given $25 to $35. So I called head office and wrote a email complaint as well attached with my receipt. Basically this company circled theyre wagons, basically called me for lying and blew me off. So here you are folks cat fishing at its ugly incarnation. There are lots of independent shops in town many with HONEST proprietors you dont need to deal with a corporate fraud. I just got a car in August 2025 and in Feb 15 2026 it was…read moredue for an oil change for the first time since getting it from Volkswagen, so I took it to Real Canadian Oil Change on McPhillips. They changed my oil and let me leave with a peace of mind that everything was good. A day later my car was making weird noises, my dad checked and all the oil leaked out of my car. We contacted them and they scheduled to come on Feb 19 to re-do the oil. They couldn't figure out why my oil was leaking and said I had a might have broken head gasket and to take it to Volkwagen to get it serviced as it was still leaking. I got it to Volswagen and they found that Real Canadian Oil Change did not put a sealing washer which is required everytime you change the oil and was the reason why the oil was leaking, no broken head gasket either. They mention my engine is now damaged due to lack of oil lubrication, I let Real Canadian Oil Change know that they forgot to add a sealing washer, Real Canadian Oil Change on McPhillips then claimed my car was heavily leaking oil at the appointment "which they DID NOT inform me on while getting serviced" now I am in the process of seeking legal advice due to Real Canadian Oil Change on McPhillips denying their simple mistake. I'm a single mother of one with another baby on the way working FULL-TIME, and currently paying ppl to drive me to work and to doctor's appointments, the stress this has caused me has been very significant. I'm still currently paying my insurance and car payments while my car is sitting because I can't afford to pay 6000$ for a used engine or 9000$ for a new engine due to the damage from lack of oil lubrication. My car was driving perfectly until the day I took it to Real Canadian and has been undrivable since the 19th of February. Yet they claim my car was leaking heavily before the appointment. Based on the report that Volkswagen provided I gave Real Canadian Oil Change proof that Volkswagen said they didn't add a sealing washer and they're still not trying to resolve for pay for the issues that they've caused. I've been professional in contacting them and I'm just very frustrated and stressed since this has happened and they don't care.
