My car was broken into, window smashed .. objects stolen. It was an exhausting and distressing experience but the staff (Vivienne) at Princess Auto were simply amazing. They went to extra lengths to help me fill out reporting, walked me through every step, cleaned up a ton of broken glass .. taped it up beautifully and phoned me in less than 24 hours to book a time to have the window replaced. I can't recommend them more highly; friendly, super efficient, so helpful and really kind. Fast service, easy to talk to people, and an excellent end product. I recently was rear ended and brought my car to Fort Rouge auto to get the back bumper replaced, they fixed my car within 2 days and cleaned it from the inside out as well. My car looks better then it did before and since I wasn't at fault and everything was covered by insurance I'm actually happy I was rear ended! They exceed expectations. read more

For anyone who is unfortunate enough to be in a collision or require autobody work, I recommend Fort Rouge Autobody. The staff are very friendly and professional. But more importantly, they are honest. I have dealt with Fort Rouge on a previous issue (non-collision related) and was very impressed that their staff took the time to look at my car and explain the "true" cause of the problem I had with my car. Every other autobody shop looked at the car for 15 seconds before giving me an estimate. I appreciated the knowledgeable service here at Fort Rouge because they explained the problem in a thorough and courteous manner. I hate rolling up to these car places, because I always feel like they will try to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge or tell me to talk it over with my husband. Yes, I've had mechanics tell me that! So when someone hit my car this past winter, I knew exactly where I would take my car. It took a while for me to get an appointment but that could be related to higher volumes at their business and/or delays from ordering parts in. The damage on my car didn't require immediate attention since my car was still drivable so it didn't really bother me. They provided a courtesy car, it was a very bare bones and basic car but it was a compact so that helped minimize the gas expense. The only drawback of the courtesy car is probably the cleaning solution they used. The disinfectant smell in this car was very overpowering so I had to drive with the window open the entire time! Otherwise, my car looks great and I am happy to get my car back! Service from everyone I encountered was always friendly and sincere. read more

Have nothing but great things to say about their service and how they worked seamlessly with the Porsche dealership. From ordering of the parts, to coordination of the repair, to return of the vehicle. All top notch. Franca and Vienna were both excellent to work with and the follow-up's I had via email for information was superb. They even were able to help with providing some information to accurately ensure the CarFax report was being correctly outlined. It was with great sadness I had a massive car accident where the driver's side window and body were completely dented and destroyed. An already shocking event, I was quite concerned on who would have the skills and abilities to recreate and re engineer this area on my European sports car. The work involved new glass, new body work, an actuator for the window, plastic and related bumper work, among other areas. There was also much consultation with the automobile manufacturer and other resources were involved when appropriate. Fort Rouge Auto Body delivered beyond expectation in terms of craftsmanship, attention to detail and service. I was able to secure a free of charge loaner vehicle during this period of rebuilding, which provided me with much relief and transition ease. Even if there were some slight questions, Fort Rouge went beyond the call of duty to repair and reassess the situation at hand. I would also like to add they do a great job at cleaning the car both at an exterior and interior level. I would highly recommend Fort Rouge Auto Body! Had some fairly extensive body work done at Fort Rouge this past January. Work quality was top notch, and the entire staff was most accommodating (the owner even took me around the entire shop floor to show me how things were done). Got my car back when promised, with both interior and exterior totally detailed. Hope there will never be a need to get other work done down the road, but if it does happen I certainly will not hesitate to return to this top quality shop. I was first impressed by how clean and pleasant Fort Rouge Auto Body was! I walked in and was greeted right away. I was uncomfortable and scared to go and get my car fixed because honestly I know little about cars and it was all a bit overwhelming. I recently brought an mpi claim to Fort Rouge Auto Body... I was not treated with respect by the customer service reps in the service dept. This happened to be the owners daughter Vienna. She was unable to explain a certain expense of additional work I had done on my car and was very annoyed and argumentative about my concerns. I was told they would replace cord the day before, (block heater) when I went to pick up my car it was the plug end replaced only. And that they now think my battery is faulty instead??? So I paid for a repair that was unnecessary. When I explained I wanted to see the "faulty" plug end plus pricing of it, she became very rude, condescending, and immature. It was too the point I had to call the owner over after she refused to give me my car keys before i signed paperwork I agreed I would sign after I checked my car and had already paid them for the other work. This was just a portion of what happened it was extremely unprofessional, and overwhelming. At one point she asked if I owned a business and waved (bye bye) like a child would.? This woman has extreme anger issues. This is definitely a situation where family aren't always the best workers. I will never be going back into this establishment and warning others!! read more

Pretty steamed. My car was making a noise, so I made an appointment explaining over the phone what I thought was wrong with the car based on the noise (wheel bearing). I showed up to drop off my car again, explaining what I thought the problem was (wheel bearing). So, when I was called in the afternoon and told the mechanic wanted to replace two other un-noise related items I asked about my wheel bearing. He didn't check. Did he take my car for a spin to hear the noise? No. Take my car for a spin! Call back; Oh, it's your wheel bearing! No Kidding?! YES, as I suggested at 7:30 a.m. and when I made the appointment. My car has been in the shop for two nights. I am a single working woman who has to find alternative modes of transportation and does not like mooching from friends, so between the expense of cabs to keep appointments and busing I have been very limited because MY original suggestion was never taken seriously and therefore never addressed until the eleventh hour. The mechanic couldn't even bother taking it for a drive when I was complaining about the noise it was making while I was driving. I will not be returning. read more
