My brand new winter coat came with a Velcro fastener flapping. Since I don't have a sewing machine, I had to search for someone to fix it. Fortunately, I found Bob's Shoe & Boot. We were in & out within 15 minutes & $2.00! Excellent experience! read more

I had feet trouble-a bunionette. Bob's shoe repair cut a hole in the leather hiking boots as i asked. but he went further-said he would have to cover the hole so dirt would not get in. I never thought of that! AND the leather patch he put on was so great that had to look to see where he patched it! i have worn the boots 2x now hiking and absolutely no pain where before it got bad. thx! read more

Bobs Shoe Repair is simply amazing. I took them a pair of black Cole Haan dress shoes to get them re-soled from leather soles to rubber soles, since the winters here in South Dakota leave even the sidewalks wet and salty. The job they did is simply phenomenal. They now have Goodyear Neolyte heels and Vibram outsoles. Everything is bonded beautifully and just perfect, and they shined up the shoes and gave them new life! The pictures don't do the work justice. These shoes are probably like 15 years old, but are now ready for another 15 thanks to Bob's. I will always take my dress shoes to them. read more

I was visiting Rapid City, and my wife had been complaining about her boots that needed repaired. I took them to Bob's Shoe Repair. I explained I was from Indiana and that I would have to leave them and I would call and pay for them when done if he could repair them. He agreed, very reasonable, my wife got them last Saturday and they look great. No one in Indianapolis was willing to do work. Very professional, he shipped them - Rapid City is lucky to have such a skilled person. By the way what a fun area to visit. read more

Bob's Shoe Repair accommodated my husband when he and I were traveling and the handle on his suitcase broke. He called Bob's in the morning and had his repaired suitcase by 4:00 p.m. The counterman was friendly and helpful. read more

Don't try them on and when I went to pull the tab as they were slip on, she said, be careful you're gonna break the tab. I wanted to say lady if I break the tab I'll pay for them. Rude customer service and it felt like she was doing us a favor, waiting on us.

Basically, there is no other shop that can do such a perfect job. I send them my dress shoes and my boots from California, simply because when they work on a sole, it stays on until it is time to change it again because it is worn out. If I have it done anywhere else, it will look the same, I will pay the same price but I will have to have it redone two to three times because it will peel and come apart. When Bob does it, I pay for shipping, but it is done right! Period. Bob's shoe repair has done all my shoe repairs since 2000, except for 3... What a mistake that was! If you have nice quality shoes that are made to last, and you want to care for them, do not look anywhere else, ask Bob! read more

Unfortunately, the owner of this establishment is a RACIST & believes that all innocent civilians in Gaza should have been flattened (slaughtered) by the State of Israel. How ignorant & disgusting could someone be to make that sort of statement. I would NEVER support your business. You are surrounded by indigenous lands in SD; you should know better. Chad is as good as they get. His prices are fair and his craftsmanship is as good as it gets. I've had him rebuild several pairs of shoes for me. Each and every time they came back to me in better than new condition. Far better than new. If you have a pair or high quality shoes or boots and want them to last for decades, look no further. read more
