I've been taking my two retrievers to Miss Lori for 4 years now and I've never been disappointed. She has a special bond with my golden retriever who gets so excited that she'll knock the dog gate just to get to the back. My Labrador retriever is not a huge fan of getting groomed but Miss Lori does everything she can to make him comfy and make it a stress free experience for him. Just picked up our 6th month old Pomeranian that was supposed to get a small knot removed from behind each ear, and trimmed around his rear end and feet! When we picked him up, they took the cash and then indicated that he moved when they were clipping him. He is so embarrassed. This is a $1300 dog that we were getting groomed before thanksgiving. Every time I take my baby Baggins, Liz remembers his name and does a great job. Really would not take Baggins any place else!

If I could put zero I would. I took my labradoodle in on his birthday to get a hair cut, asked for a teddy bear face and normal body trim. I pick him up to his nose being shaved BALD. The groomer mentioned she used a different tool then the last time but I paid my $80 and left. After bringing him home and reassessing I realized this was unacceptable. He looks ridiculous. Then he began to itch and paw at it causing scabs and obsessive bleeding. After speaking with two other employees I EVENTUALLY spoke to the boss who would not give me a refund for this botched hair cut. Within 24 hoI then had to spend an additional $70 to take my dog to the vet to be treated for razor burn and potential infections. You can see for yourself the horrible service you receive here. After multiple attempts to contact the boss to allow her to reconcile, she has done nothing but offer an apology. UPDATE AS OF 6-23-18 the owner commented and said she "offered" to pay the vet fees. They have not. (I have added a picture of our last conversation regarding it) Additionally, I left the business that day because when they finally finished with my dog it was five minutes before close, and they tried to convince me this was "normal" and this is what they use on every dog. So if you want this size blade used on your dog this is the place for you. read more

I don't exactly know how to feel about this place. The people were very nice and shaved my dog like I asked, but there were bald spots and some harsh lines. My dogs leg was also slightly cut, I didn't notice till we got home and I really looked at her but I was upset to see her cut up. Took me same day, last minute. Didn't need vet records to prove my dog is up to date on her shots. My dog was also terribly thirsty when we got home, obvious they didn't give her any water or let her out between 10am-4pm. Bow and bandeau were a cute touch though. Not sure if I'll go back. read more

Took my Shih Tzu puppy here for grooming. I think a child with no training could have done a better job. The bottom of her feet was not cut, nails not trimmed, knots on her belly. Her hair was long and very pretty-now it is just one big gap after gap!!! My daughter picked her up so I did not see her until after they closed. I will be calling 1st thing Monday to complain, not that it will do any good. I never write reviews, but I am very disappointed with the results and will not use Claws and Paws again. I have to give a star rating, unfortunately a negative star is not offered. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! I called Paws and Claws on a Thursday afternoon and was thrilled when they said they could take my dog in the next day. I dropped her off the following day around 9:00 A.M. and when I asked what time I could pick her up they said 3:00 P.M. For one, this a ridiculous amount of time just to wash a dog. They end up waiting until 4:15 to call and let me know she was ready. When I arrived, 3-4 customers were in front of me picking up their dog also. When it was my turn to be waited on the girl at the front desk picked up the phone and began to call someone while chatting with the other woman who was grooming a dog.. I was completely ignored for a good 5 minutes before I interrupted her to tell her why I was there. Once I got my dog in the car I realized just how much she was shedding. They didn't brush her once after they bathed her nor did they trim her nails. They also did not take her out once in those 6 hours to relieve herself as she was trying to hold it in when she saw me. I called the office the next day and explained the situation. The lady said they would get back to me ASAP. The following Monday afternoon I call again and ask to speak to the manager. As soon as he answers the phone he asks " Has your dog had all of her shots?" I reply "why do you ask that?" and he says my "little" dog bit someone who worked there. First of all, If this was true, wouldn't I be told this when I picked her up? and Second, my dog is by no means "little" weighing in at 75 lbs.. He was incredibly rude and would not answer any of my questions. He said he would not refund any of my money and insisted I bring her back in but first had to have her sedated. Do NOT waste your money bringing your dog here. read more
