I received 3 estimates for 3 different procedures all of which included anesthesia for my 13 year old dog. I won't give out every detail, other than to say, my dog had her medical event, I called during business hours and I was informed that they couldn't see her until October 15th, but I could come by, pick up some antibiotics, and call around to see if someone else could see her. I went to Energi pet and she received excellent care and treated us respectively and gave additional information that helped us make our decisoon. I'm grateful Dr.Hall didn't see us yesterday.

We also had surprise charges when we were informed while on vacation that shots were required for all 3 cats. We requested quotes months in advance, multiple times and yet the cost continued to go up after dropping them off before vacation. Our original quote was close to $400 and our bill upon leaving was close to $650. A senior admin helped us by correcting the boarding fees to include the free boarding after spaying our girls and allowed us to pay part upon pickup and the rest at the beginning of next month. I understand that pets are expensive but what is lacking at this veterinary clinic is transparency.

The front desk girl put me on hold & came back telling me it would only be between $45-$60 to trim my dog. So I took my English Setter there the next morning. Looked the groomer in the eye, said shave all but the head and tail. When I went to pick up my dog, I was told it would be $75. They completely buzzed all of her including her head, ears and tail which takes a long time to grow a fine tail like my dog had. Also they cut her whiskers off, why would anyone shave off whiskers on a English Setter. You have to be an idiot. The head and tail are trademarks on English Setters and for breeders. Which I am. I now can't hunt or put my dog in field trials. Even worst I told her my dog was pregnant and now how am I to sell pups at $400-$800 dollar out of a dog that no longer looks like a Champion bloodline English Setters. The Groomer told me I never said to leave her head and tail alone, then told me they never quoted me a price... basically yelled at me and on the phone WOULDN'T HEAR ME OUT and couldn't even apologize. All she had to say about her butchering my dog is, "what do you want me to do about it, glue her hair back on, it will grow back." My English Setter no longer looks like a English Setter and now looks like a bald RAT. This Cindy groomer also cut half of my dogs toe nails off to the point they have bleed. My English Setter has bald spots on her head and cuts all over. If you don't want this to happen to your DOG, Don't! HOWEVER, I was placed on hold immediately for an extended period of time until a reminder ring went through and she came on and asked me to hold again- for another really really long time. Then basically each question that I had regarding prices required her to place me on hold again and again repeatedly (without exaggeration) and these were NOT short wait times. I am unsure if she was very unknowledgeable, did not have a "fee schedule" handy, or simply used my "search for answers" as excuses to place me on hold again and again in order to perhaps tend to something else or take other calls which apparently came in droves if so? I wish I had a better first contact experience with their office because I really liked their website, they are an older company, apparently, and have the online ratings to show some happy people. Location is close to us as well. I like that they have boarding but there are no images of the feline boarding online nor any mention of it at all, actually- just dogs. To be fair AGAIN, I do like that after I was forced to hang up (since she ultimately never came back to me on the phone) that I had the option of texting a different number from their website. I know that isn't saying much. I would have booked an initial appointment online (they do have an online booking option*) however I was eliminated* from that chance by one of their many many reasons* why I couldn't. I am not sure what type of appointment anyone would actually need which could be booked online after reading that list*. I do wish that they offered baths for the animals. Well, at least she stated that they do not offer flea baths which is one thing that my girl needs. So, I don't know. I got off the phone unsure if they DO offer baths, just not flea baths?? Then I need the well-check, then the dental, then the boarding. They still haven't written me back even after I have taken the last 60+ minutes to input a whole litany of their information into my phone including this "review" draft. Hopefully I can find a great vet in this town. And now that I have finished proof reading my review, I realize that with all of the different things that we need to get done with this veterinarian- well-check, vaccines, testing, flea treatment purchase, dental exam, dental cleaning, boarding..... I am not sure that I can take this much time out of my days just because my cat needs a thing here and there. I have until December to get this done. I don't need this place THAT MUCH. I literally am questioning whether or not I was asking too much, though? All I did was read their website, get lured in, jot down the questions that the website didn't answer (not a mention of a single fee). I just wanted to ask what the costs were for the things we need. Hold please. Hold please. Hold please. You know what??? I literally think they want you to go in there with your furry baby and hand it over so that they can come back with a whole novel series of "medical attention" that the animal "needs" and then the animal parent likely sits their feeling like a failure of an animal parent since their furry baby "needs" so much. Like, I am not buying it. I asked what the cost of the flea treatment was since they did not offer flea baths and... WOW... now that I think about it... this is the beginning of some things I am just not down for, I know it... it's coming back to me now... the woman told me that in order to purchase the flea treatment, the animal needs to OFFICIALLY BE SEEN BY THE VETERINARIAN IN AN OFFICE VISIT FIRST. Hmmm... is this standard? Maybe, maybe not. But for some reason I am guessing that I could walk in many other veterinarian offices world wide and walk out with flea treatment without paying their $64 office visit fee. Nope. Another example: I asked how much a dental exam / dental cleaning would be and I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR SEVERAL MINUTES of course, then she came back on and literally told me that there isn't just one price for those things and that actually THE VETERINARIAN USES THEIR DISCRETION ON WHAT TO CHARGE. See?? I would be aware. I personally think I am going to seek out a more straight forward, smaller, less main-stream overly hyped veterinarian's office to take my baby to. She doesn't like complicated exhausting things.

We had called three times before we drove there & got the answering machine each time, with zero notice that they were closed. Our cat died in their parking lot. Today, I check the clinic's Facebook page, and see they posted a notice yesterday afternoon that they would be closed due to staff illness. That's great - but we didn't think to check Facebook first when our cat was dying. We called, then drove when we couldn't get an answer. Do better for other pet parents.
