After researching where to have a Valentines dinner I stumbled across this wonderful discovery. It checked all the boxes, romantic, intimate, decor, reasonably priced dinner with helpful and friendly staff. There are many converted dining areas among the rooms of the house. We were in the parlor I think overlooking the back yard just beyond the glass french doors where our table was positioned. Very pleasant. We enjoyed our dinner although the food was not the star experience I hoped for but nevertheless enjoyable from the limited choices. There were no menus. Waitress provided the details and it included the beverages. After dinner we were invited to walk through the various rooms of the house which were lovely. The entire downstairs were dining areas. The one that caught my eye was the library. It had a fireplace which added a warm feeling to the dimly lit room. There was also a separate dining area by the front of the house sporting more antique furniture and a fireplace. As we toured the house we went upstairs where all the bedrooms were. Each had their own charm. I expect those rooms were for changing areas for wedding parties. The mansion is mostly used for wedding events. It is a unique and lovely place in Thomasville to visit and I would highly recommend it for an event.

I was a part of a wedding that took place at Twelve West Main the first weekend in June. The…read morebuilding is located downtown of Thomasville which automatically makes parking limited. Thomasville is very small town so there isn't much around the venue to do or see (just a couple of little shops here and there). The venue itself is pretty nice. Their main ballroom is very nice. It has hardwood floors, nice windowed double doors and two balconies that overlook the main floor. The space is pretty small. I wouldn't recommend it for events that has a guest list of over 100 with a dance floor needed. If you do book this space with a big guest list you will need to be OK with having tables put out in the foyer (main entrance) areas along with the balcony. The upstairs of the building has bridal suite which is decent size with a half bath inside. It also has another bigger room upstairs that ceremony which is where the ceremony was held. That space is also nice, the only thing is that weekend they had a huge air conditioning unit that was out which was a huge eye sore. They also had a grooms suite at another upper part of the building but of course I didn't get to glance at it. I also believe that this venue does provide full service (decor included). They also allow outside catering. My friend had a beautiful wedding at this location.

Where to start?!Weddings are fun and lots of work...yes indeed!…read moreWith an event as special as a wedding the choices made are so important not only for a beautiful day but cherished memories to last a lifetime!Rest assured we made the right one by choosing The Holt House as the wedding venue for our daughter's grand day! This home is gorgeous y'all, the grounds are outstanding and too many picturesque spots for the ceremony and for capturing stunning photos to list. Lots of options here! The owners Jera and Nia shine in the area of event and wedding hosting, they know what they are doing every step of the way, true and trusted professionals! Their talents, integrity and Gods calling upon them to use their gifts of hospitality are a treasure to their clients and evident to any guests in attendance. Our daughter moved to another state than us and it made some planning aspects more challenging but Jera and Nia filled every gap, helping answering questions with planning, giving advice and tips regarding etiquette and ordering and were just so hands on the day of the event that every single detail of the day flowed perfectly. And I do mean perfectly! That's rare!Weddings can be very stressful but honestly they took the stress right out by their knowledge, experience, work ethic and professional care over the entire day. The day was in their capable hands as they coordinated each detail. The weather looked a bit ominous early on but they planned for every option to host inside or out but then the sun did came out and their plan to use multiple spaces for day and night were the best decision anyway because why not want to use as much of this special property as possible! Our family also had the pleasure of staying at the venue the whole weekend and it was lovely to say the least! Comfy beds, soft sheets and pillows and a good hot shower after a few long days of getting ready for the wedding were so welcomed! We can't thank them enough for making the day so "extra" special! We highly recommend The Holt House for any special occasion and doubt you'll be disappointed! So happy we found y'all and can't wait to cherish the memory and enjoy the beautiful pictures fondly! Every blessing wished for these special businesses owners as the gem they are to the Lexington community!

I grew up in High Point and didn't even know this place existed. Centennial Station is located…read moredowntown, just around the corner from Showplace. It used to be an old freight train depot in the early 1900s, but was later converted into a dinner theater and now, it's a special events center. Very old and rustic looking, a lot of the original wooden flooring and structure still remain in place today. I visited on Friday night for a wedding rehearsal dinner afterparty. The inside was nicely decorated for the holidays with Christmas trees, beautiful lights, and colorful ornaments. The main hall has a stage, dance floor, plenty of table seating, and a small open bar in the back. Cool space and perfect for the event. There was a projected slide show on stage of the married couple to be and also a little dancing. The sound system could have been better, but it wasn't a big deal. Bartenders did a good job. Ample parking outside.
