Kilt arrived a day before estimate, fit wonderfully, the lady (Heather) that took my order was knowledgeable, kind, courteous and made ordering a great experience. I explained to Heather that I needed it quickly as I had only left about 10 days before my local Scottish games and she explained that it was no problem, they got it to me with a week to spare. When the kilt arrived (bear in mind I took a while to choose as they had an amazing selection, lots of variety and I was tickled that the one I chose was also on sale). Say goodbye to your special day! I ordered a new $999 kilt to be made in Scotland with this company on 28th Feb 2022. I hear nothing from the company for several months so in July 2022 I reached out to see what the status was. I hear nothing. I reached out again a few weeks later. I hear nothing. I reached out again later in August 2022, and eventually Coy returns the correspondence with the announcement of a delay. He explained it will likely be another 4 to 6 weeks. I contacted them again 2 months later and was told the estimated time for the kilt would now be mid November. I reached out to them at the end of November and was told it was still in production. Now don't forget I ordered this in February, missed wearing it for formal occasions during 2022 and now becoming worried they would miss my 50th birthday celebration at the end of January 2023. Even at this stage I thought there is no way it can take almost a year to make. I chased Coy again on 12th December asking if I should be worried about my big event and was told the fabric was now with the kilt maker, saying he didn't believe there was going to be a problem to get to me on time. At the beginning of January 2023, I actually drove over to the store in Scottsdale (an hour round trip) to talk to them and ensure they were escalating this mess appropriately. The next day Coy sent me a message saying he is still waiting for an update. Followed by a message later in the week telling me the horrible news that there was a problem with the fabric at the weavers and it's going to take months to complete the order, almost a year after I placed it. He promised me 'to make this right' and find me a backup kilt with my family tartan, ready for my special event in the coming weeks. On 26th January I received a call and message saying he has the backup kilt. I had very little faith that this would happen as the communications were rubbish as always. I had already left the country to attend my Birthday event abroad. So, I was distraught that even my own special occasion was ruined by these completely unprofessional people. Three months later I contacted them again for an update. I was told 'all on track.' I contacted them again another 2 months later and eventually told on 8th May that the order was complete and to come to the store to pick it up. I drove to the store, to be told he made a mistake, and it was someone else's order. You can't make this up! This experience was appalling. I thought they were going to make it right, not horrifically worse. I sent a message to Coy the day after to explain my next occasion to wear the kilt is later in August 2023. If there are any further issues, I want a refund. Today, the 19th July 2023, the kilt arrived which I picked up. I'm providing you with all the facts about this outrageous experience. If you have important events to go to and need a kilt made, these are not the people to deal with. The communications, lack of tenacity to advocate for the customer and escalate problems that arise, shocking customer service, and overall brilliant ability to ruin your special occasions are all reasons to keep away from Claymore Imports - They are a disgrace. We ordered from Claymore's web presence, KiltRentalUSA, for the kilts for the men of our wedding party. As they were all travelling from Scotland and kilts way a TON, it was rather impractical to rent the tartan we wanted and have them carry over. Also, for the length of travel time, it would be insanely expensive. Enter kilts from Arizona! Who knew? They provided not only the rental kilts for the men (of which all but one fit perfectly), but I also ordered a necktie and some tartan fabric ahead of time for a little girl's dress + accessory-making. The shipping on that order was exorbitant, but the kilt order was great and we had no complaints. This place has a larger selection of tartans for rental kilts than anywhere in Central or Eastern Scotland (believe me, I looked in person!) and the pricing for the service is competitive with what we're used to paying in the UK. While my now-husband owns his own kilt, it was great to have the wedding party in a similar style and with the right tartan. Very good service! read more

WE LOVE KILT RENTAL USA! Cooper and Wheaton and the whole team in AZ are very helpful and extremely professional. We love the ease of their rentals and how awesome the website is to use. The rentals come in a nice box with everything included (if you choose) and even an aray of tartans to choose from. We love being able to give our own customers so many options. Worst service I've ever had from an online merchant. They were happy to take my money, but called me today (the event starts tomorrow morning) to say they had just 'gotten it in' and if I wanted to drive to Scottsdale I could pick it up, but they couldn't ship it to me. No offer to refund my shipping charges, no offer to deliver it to me in Glendale just a warning if I didn't get there before 5 they would be closed. I will not do business with them again. read more

I rented their Back in Black package total sale was $209.02. I received the package on 11/8/2014 but was not home to try it on until 11/09/2014. The kilt was a few sizes to large. I called the number provided on their site and spoke with a gentleman. I explained the problem and told him I was returning the next day and expected a full refund. This was not a problem and the conversation ended. I returned the package at 10.48 EST on 11/10/2014 via UPS. I received a phone call at approx 1.58pm from a gentlemen of the company stating there would be no return. He offered a new shipment but I did not want to trust his sizing of the new outfit as my event was now very time sensitive. He was very rude and condescending. He was very unwilling to listen to my explanation of not being able to take another chance in his outfits being miss sized. This could have been and easily resolved procedure but would not listen to my concerns. Real Scots don't treat other Scots the way this individual treat me. There are plenty more choices on the web for kilt rental. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. The owner of this store is a cheat, liar and a thief. read more
